In my country stoping or preventing emergency services doing there job can result in a big fine or jail time. I’m totally fine with this law as I know the importance the emergency services play in society.
@@lauraclaire Nobody stopped them from working he stopped on his own. He was not interfering until the one guy instead of helping the patient decided to do something. If he had stepped in between the EMT and the patient that would be something different but he was 20 feet away.

I'm an EMT who has literally had to stand in the doorway to keep family members away from the patient my partner was wrestling on the ground behind me, on their own. This is actually pretty tame to how some scenes can be.
Carver did the right thing by confronting the individual keeping him away from the incident. The officer is also in the right to pull him away from the incident because as far as he's aware that's what dispatch told him. The officer's next job is to take his statement about the "threats" Carver did not make.
Yeah it could've got ugly if they ignored him for too long. He may have escalated to direct interference if he didn't get the attention he wanted out of them
@@wessltovcarver handled this perfectly, really. Making him back up without a threat nor touching him, just walking up with his arms open and forcing him to back away from the scene.

In a more recent episode he was clearly uncomfortable being in the same bathroom as her when she had her shirt part way up as she was putting some cream on a scar on her side to minimize its appearance. The proof in that is he kept looking away from her. If he had feelings for her he wouldnt have done that he would have continued to look in her direction.

I cant say for sure but I suspect that the reason we only regularly see Hermann and Ritter representing Engine 51 is because they are the only 2 actors for that company. I suspect the others that we rarely see are made up of whatever actual Chicago Firefighters they have on set that day. The reason I think this is because prior to Hermann taking over as Lt of Engine 51 in season 7 it was mostly mentioned but rarely actual see in action.

I also seen that even here in Denmark, the firefighters and paramedics do at times put blankets up or standing to cover the victim. Not because they didnt had room to work, but more that we sadly live in a world where people likes to take their phones out and film. I know they especially had doing it if a victim is heavily wounded. Like near death or is dead. I also give them space to work. And I also remember that I had told a group that I was having a break with that we should move. I heard the ambulance coming and I knew we stood where the air ambulance used to land. True enough, we did that. But one of the paramedics of the ambulance (They arrived first) did told us to move further, which we did

For all we know, that boy could have a broken leg or this man could have prolonged his rescue for longer than it should have taken and would have easily given the teenager an infection, one that could even lead to amputation HEAVEN FORBID it gets inside the leg bone trying to repair itself!!

This man Edgar I think heck the fire station throughout the episode and even calls them out after find out who he is. Saying his dad gone and they just go about their lives like they had nothing to do with it. I feel sorry for his lost but I wouldn’t use it as a excuse to verbally torment the fire department that had nothing to do with it.

As a volunteer firefighter/emt, I am cringing at them using a grinder to cut the fence instead of using the JAWS. Especially since the sparks from the grinder are going to cause burns. This is not how we would cut a fence like this. We would just get the JAWS cutters. The JAWS cutters will cut through that fence with no problem. And we would definitely not brake check a driver that is following us. This is not how fire departments would address that situation. They really need some better consultants. Also, we don't carry grinders on our apparatus.

One of those guys who has no idea about how emergency response works. That area is NOT a public park whilst emergency services are in attendance.
