Really wish I went through the cadet program…I did LA Metro youth fire academy back when I was 15 been hooked since then. Now I’m a 22 y/o EMT working towards the goal to join the brotherhood 🚨💪🏾

so do i need a Bachelors Degree to move up in the ranks? and does it matter which degree it is? I’m currently a Business Major looking to go into the Fire Service
You need a degree if you wanna be a chief.. at least with LAFD… Having a degree as an entry level guy just shows them that you’re responsible and smart enough to get a degree but it’s not a requirement
