Hey Everyone! ) I’m Anna and welcome to my channel. Here, I post some useful information for English learners. I’m from Ukraine and I’ve worked on my English and accent, for the most part, on my own, but you can find out and trace my story by watching my videos. I’ve been studying American pronunciation for a long time, and I still do, and I guess I always will - because it’s not math. Learning a language, it’s a lifetime journey. I know exactly what it takes to become fluent and acquire an accent in a non-English speaking country, and I’ve never even been to one. And I’m sharing this information here - on my channel.

I've watched a number of your videos over the past few days, and I just wanted to say (as a native speaker) that I can really tell the difference in how your accent has improved in this video compared with videos from 6+ months ago. You're so close to perfect!

You're smart❤
Thank you Anna for such an interesting and useful video! I'm wondering how often do you hear acronyms from people in your everyday life?
VERY NICE
I'm an American not sure why I'm watching this video, but one thing I wanted to know is I find myself looking at someone's mouth while they talk reading lips as they speak. It's just a habit because I can talk to someone on a phone without a problem. What happens is the other person notices I'm not looking them in the eyes when they talk. I wonder if non-native English speakers do this. My wife reminds me not to do that because she tells me should be looking someone in the eye.
So good
Thank you for so great glossary of acronims. By the way, IMHO is alive since the era of text blogs in livejournal.
To be determined
This is really good nd a helpful one...just a lil request for practice speaking video please

Thanks 🙏, I want to speak fluent English and I will study all days and nights to improve my english, I want to find partner for practice
You are the GOAT^^
The video was handy in terms of our practical lives. Please, don't take it differently but as far as I know when the letters of a short-form word of something are pronounced together as a normal word then it is called an acronym. On the other hand, if we pronounce the letters of a short-form word separately then it is a part of initialism. So, all the short-form words you mentioned were actually not acronyms.
As a gamer, I almost know all of those acronyms. I want to add some that you didn't mention it. GG : Good Game, NT : Nice Try, GLHF : Good Luck Have Fun, FFS : For f**k's sake. KIA : Killed In Action, etc.
Oh my God, your beauty is superb
BTW = By the way
Um you know what, I don't actually live In An English speaking country or have people around who speak English so I normally practice by myself and I think it worked effectively but I really want to speak with different people and use all the words and expressions that I learn so do you have any ides for this situation 😊
I recently watched a video and it was just written there some words like "Messi" and "goat", now I understand what they meant there 😂😂😂
Dude, She's the spitting image of Starlight (The Boys).... Great Content!
If I didn’t read the “About” page, I would never have guessed it that you are from Ukraine. Your American accent is so on point!
Yo le enseño español!

This might be controversial, but, there's also the issue with speakers ... of any language, who don't fully grasp, or have mastery of the only language they know.
We see this everywhere in many lower economic areas where immigration is also prevalent, and we often see degenerate and "working class" dirivatives of the root language. Drastic but classic instances of this can be observed in "Cockney" English, and other accents or derivatives.
As to English acronyms, I have encountered FOMO, or Fear Of Missing Out; the feeling of "missing out" on opportunity, or experience if one doesn't go do all the things that "everyone else" is doing. This also has historic versions such as "keeping up appearances", and "Keeping up ith the Joneses" where one feels compelled to stay abreast of current events, trends, fashion, gadgets, and all things culturally relevant for good social cohesion.
