Awesome review on this bike David, THANK YOU from AJ in Canada. Love the BMX bars. QUESTION: What is the lowest seat height in inches please. I'm hoping no more then 29" or 30".
7:54 Is this a ebe4? I bought 1 n was wondering how to speed her up. But buddy told me mine is 350 watts. Now I presume more watts mm means more pwr? Wonder if a bigger battery would fit to get more power? Can someone get back to me thanks . Or could I put a bigger hub on a 20 inch by 4 wheel?
Same as the Lectric XP 3.0 for $200 less and they got another one that competes with the Lectric Lite for $200 less as well. Those $200 in savings are due to low overhead costs.
I just bought two of them! With coupon code they were only $699 a piece, and that’s the out the door price! They ship for free and they don’t charge sales tax on their website. Can’t wait to get them.
Excellet review! You gotta check out the Gotrax F1 next. It's a straight up lectric xp lite clone (rebrand w/cheaper brakes maybe?). 48v, SUPPOSEDLY a 350 watt motor, but handles way a bit above it's $599 price point. And it's a SINGLE SPEED!!!
Do you have the F1? I’m super tempted to get the R1 cuz of the white and red color. GoTrax said the F1 and R1 are identical. If it’s literally identical parts to the XP Lite, I think I’m gonna buy it.
@@DavidBrandNew area 13 (Kyle) did a review on it, and it's gotta be a rebranded xp lite, so I KNOW you gotta do this!!! It's made for a turtle neck stem too!!!
I second this. Just got my F1 on Friday. This is my first e-bike and really my first expensive bike. I did a ton of research on the lectric xp lite but chose this instead because of the $200 difference. That means I can do the BMX upgrade and still be under the price of the lectric. No complaints, this thing goes. After watching the video I did the controller hack and I'm getting 22mph on throttle. Everything is so smooth, the fact that it's single speed doesn't matter at all because any level of pedal assists helps out a ton. When I built it I just decided to jump on and hit the throttle. I was expecting a slow start and this thing jumped, I almost hit my front door 😂. I live upstairs in an apartment complex and this thing is no problem lifting to get upstairs. I don't know what I was expecting for this price point but honestly this waaay exceeds it. If you have never owned an e-bike and you are on the fence, I'm telling you right now, just do it. If it's the F1 or the XP you are going to have a blast.
@@Aliveinsideink Helps a ton. How fast did GoTrax ship your bike? I'm just nervous about support being lackluster as there Better Business Bureau rating is very poor. It's either take a chance with Gotrax to save a bit of cash or go with the bigger brand and spend another $200. XP and the Gotrax R1/F1 look identical to me. I imagine they are using extremely similar parts aside from the slightly different LCD display and different motor specs.
Love a review that really shows you putting the product through it's paces! Thinkin hard on gettin this one, thanks for showing it can hustle where it counts.
David Brand New…is it the Turtleneck Fx that fold down AND also quick release to remove?? Or are they two different models. I’m confused as hello!! I want to order, today…👍🏻
I live in Riverside and would love to take my bike down there and try those hill tests on my ebike. It doesnt have suspension at all so Ill skip the off road tests lol. You seem to really try to abuse these bikes to get some good data.
He goes over all the specs after the ride. Specs really don’t always mean they’ll perform, which is exactly what happened in this video with this bike.
I have to agree. Spend 3-5 minutes first on specs then test ride with narrative. If you go buy a car would you go for a test ride without knowing any of the car features first? After a couple minutes of this I lose patience and interest.
Made in China? It could work great for a month and then fall apart. No recourse so good luck! Landfills will probably be full of these crappy Chinese e-bikes in a couple of years.... All in the name of environmentalism. Lol. 🤔😂

I'm looking at product description on Amazon and it says 48 volt.
I like that they ship the bike with the front wheel already on. It is just one less thing to mess up on assembling.
Me too
Hi David does the gotrac f1 use the same battery as the xp lite?
Just ordered two of them for $1398 total! They’re on sale and I used a coupon code. One in black and one in white. My kids will love them.
How have they been?
Any problems on bike? Thanks.
@@moses5161 my bro just got one and it's been really nice so far. For a 500 watts motor it picks up but he's about 160lbs. Good range too.

What is the width of the bike when it's folded? Not from front to back but side to side?
This was a great review. Thanks!
Curious how many bikes out of China are exact copies save for a different paint job
Your hill didn’t look that steep. What do you think the grade was? Also, you should have demonstrated taking out battery.

No it's due to small battery 36volt. That's the 200 dollars.
@@chrisdudley8366 A lot of class 1 e bikes are also 36 volt and they cost a lot more
@@chrisdudley8366 it actually comes mostly from the fact that they manufacture their products unlike lectric buying from a factory.

@@chrisdudley8366it's not a 36 volt. That's a mistake. If he said that in the video. It's a 48 volt says it on their website and on Amazon
I believe it does have a 48 volt battery. At least that's the way it's listed now on Amazon
That’s what I read as well
This bike has a 48v battery NOT 36v. I have this exact same bike.

Really not a bad bike for the price i think, love how it can take on hills, I call that a deal😊. Keep Em Coming DBN 😁👍🏽
Can I hook up a bike trailer ?
Can it go faster?
Looks like a XP Step Thru frame. Basically the same bike with a 36v battery.

20 MPH is the limit for the motor because that’s what the big states like Cali and New York allow.

Yes the FX is can both fold and quick release. As of right now I’m only selling that model
@@DavidBrandNew I’m ordering right now!
Must say this bike is very impressive for having only a 36-volt battery and makes me wonder how it would perform with an upgraded 48 volt battery
F2 is 48
On their website it says this bike is 48v not 36v.

Man I do not trust the key being at the bottom

Thar lil lizard 🦎 was gone 😆
The bike is a class 2, the lizard is a class 3. 😂
Doesn't seem to stop good at all..
Not like the wheels were still rolling when he hit the brake lmao, could stop better if you keep the wheels from locking up.
Gotrax says its48volt
Slightly used it's like 500.00 one day,
trash! lol j/k bro keep up the content :)
799 cool
.......it look like lectric xp ......a copy...lol
I mean they’re all made at the same factory, just different branding.
Lectric’s design isn’t original unfortunately. I love the look of the Lectric’s though.
@@mattmatter5643 i thought the folding idea was lectric idea with the bike design
