$800 is still to expensive without hydraulic brakes. Being just a basic bike. Need to find out what the torque on the 350 W motor is though. Good to see you out and about on the single speed riding. Hope your doing much better Kyle.
Hello. I just got an e-bike a couple weeks ago and started bench watching the heck out of your videos. I'm sorry to hear about your sickness. I'm very greatfull that your making a good recovery. I'm hoping you can take a look at this bike and maybe giving it an affordability review. So the bike I bought is called vivi foldable mountain bike. it's a 500w motor 48v battery 🔋. It goes 20mph no problems for me while I'm 200 pounds. Only paid $600 on it
Not sure if you've looked at it, but I have a Fiido D4S (~90 miles with it so far) and it's similar but it's 6-speed, 36v 10.4Ah, 250W motor. $800 MSRP but I got mine for $720. Probably a bit slower and rougher around the edges, but it's really nice to have gears. (for speed, I do right fairly upright so am not the best judge of it) They claim it goes 50 miles in moped mode, but I did a 20mi (total) trip w/mostly PAS 2 and the battery gauge started blinking on the way home. I know the battery meter fluctuates up and down normally depending on usage... so it seems like potentially some fault of going by voltage, and maybe even the battery indicator saying it's dead super early at 20% due to poor design/programming (for instance, flashing could be 1 extra battery level, or more if the other levels flashed). Or just so users are paranoid into range-anxiety rather than careless? (though that could have the opposite effect if they don't trust the meter) A legal nitpick with the display/controller is that there isn't a way to disable the throttle so it's technically Class II even though OotB it has 15.5mph (EU) speed limit (also didn't come with a US plug, but luckily the cable could be replace because it's a common 2-prong power cord). Also like the bike in the video, twist throttle thus cannot be easily removed physically... though my first ride the chain fell off almost immediately because the derailleur was not tuned right (so I needed a throttle to get home). 90% of the time I use it to crawl to or out of a stop, and the other 10% I'm not around people. No bell (there is a horn) but I got a basic bell (looks same as in video) for $12 at the local shop.
This is old but speaking on mechanical brakes. These are fine the problem is the brake cables. Swap the cables on any mechanical disc brake setup to compressionless housings and the brakes will work great.
I have a Gotrax EBE08 Mountain bike 500w with a 750w peak bike and I can confirm that Gotrax selects motors for torque more than speed. I've added a 52v battery and an unlocked display and I've only gone from 32km/h to 37km/h however I can outclimb my friends bike which is a 750w motor with a 1000w peak. With the 52v 15amp battery on there with a full battery I'm pulling 825w peak on the 15amp controller and it's only a 52lbs bike so hills are not a problem at all. You won't go that fast but it will keep whatever speed you get through hills and dips better than motors that are built for speed. And as a side bonus you'll get more range at the slightly slower speeds. In my city 37km/h is actually too fast for the bike lanes with all the phone zombies, people clued out like someone gave them 20cc's of Thorazine, People using the bike lane as an extended sidewalk. etc. The mechanical brakes are actually not too bad on mine with better pads, however I ordered some cable actuated hydraulic brakes which are a straight bolt on to give a little more braking power. They are not as good as a full hydraulic system but you should get around 30-50% better braking power on already a light bike to begin with compared to straight mechanical. How many amps are you pulling on that bike? Hit the mode button until you see "cur" then do the calculation. Ie if you are pulling 10 amp thats 48vx10 or 480 watts at nominal voltage. Most 350 motors have an 11 or 12 amp max controller so peak would be around the 550-600 range. I think this would be perfect as a little runabout on a camper or RV. You don't want to toodle into town in a huge ass motorhome to get a jug of orange juice. You could have a bike rack on the back of the RV with two of these puppies for excursions away from the campsite. Buy a spare or larger battery to take with you and you could ride all day.

@@zerocal76 It looks like an excellent beginner foldable e-bike especially if the price is right. However I didn't see him try to get into the settings to see if the display is unlocked. On my bike, even when I only had a 48v battery just adding an unlocked display added another 3 mph. Adding a 52v battery gave another 3. The one excellent thing about this bike is the 48v system. I can't tell you how much of an advantage that is. First it's going to be more torquey, it will lose less speed as the voltage goes down or sags. Plus you are going to get a lot more range. Just for that reason alone this is a serious contender as you can always add better lights and a horn and all the bicycle crap cheaply to add some of those premium features cheaply. Lookin good there Kyle! Now, about the bike. It looks like a lectric xp lite, and seems to perform more like one. It might be a rebrand. Solid review of an inexpensive ride.
The Gotrax has more power, and a tail/brake light standard.. It's a newer better quality and cheaper XP Lite which is just obsolete and overpriced at this point.
This looks identical to the lectric xp Lite. Unless I'm missing something, all specs seem the same? I was going to buy the XP Lite but this has me really thinking.
Mine never started. Delivered yesterday and nothing... screen display doesn't turn on... bike don't turn on. Battery light is green. No power to it. And where you insert the key - VERY STUPID. I was so excited for this bike and I'm HIGHLY disappointed. Oh and that front head lamp - WHAT A PAIN. On paper this thing sounds amazing. In person... it's FRUSTRATING and i haven't even gotten a ride yet. Also mine weighs 60 lbs. Not 40ish so that is some weight to lift to take out...put back and when folding and moving around. I'm SO mad
Could I make a 14 mile round trip commute on this thing? 7 miles each way. It would save me a little time, but mainly it would be more fun than the highway.
Really tempted to try buy this for $539 with a coupon code. This looks identical to a Lectric XP Lite, but lacking the overall customer support and backing of Lectric. Is it worth the savings or should I go with the bigger brand? 🤔
Replace with different pad material. Or better yet replace the entire calipers with zoom hb100. Did that on my lite and no more squealing, faster braking, and no more readjusting pads as they wear. Best $40 spent. Almost as good as my full hydraulic bikes
Gotrax is also US based. In Texas. And their customer service is flawless. You have a problem? They give you whatever you need for free...Not sure what else you'd want..
its the same bike being rebranded. Gotrax is as legit as lectric. I own a lite and xpremium, but for the current $539 this bike is a much better deal. Gotrax has a very good reputation in the scooter ebike sphere. I have no doubt they would stand behind their product and they are us based. Guess all of lectrics marketing is paying off for them!
Do you think the materials are the same to a T in which the bikes are made from? Because i thought about buying the lite , but the motor is 350 and the lite motor is 350 with the lectric Mileage at 40 and trhe F1 Mileage at 25.
@@jahbrake9791and batteries, racks, etc not available. Batteries out of stock for awhile. Lectric seems to always have parts and accessories, plus the longer range.
That's how those companies work man. The average man wouldn't be knowledgeable when it comes to electric bikes so they take advantage of your ignorance and over charge for pathetic specs. It's sad really lol
@@steverobertson932 to be honest the F1 looks like it might have a bigger motor and it has a bell lol the Lectric Xp lite has a 300 motor peaks at 720 the F1 has a 350 motor I’m not sure of the peak power but they both do 20mph so they’re basically are the same might be a good deal. It helps me get to work on time every day since I'm able to fit it inside of public transportation rush hour. The price is great too, people are always shocked when they ask me how much I paid for the fold up and I tell them "200". It's easy to fold and installation when it ships is insanely easy. All you have to install when the bike arrives is one foot pedal, everything else is done for you. I do recommend you carry some sort of wrench to tighten any loose screws on the handle bar and seat whenever they get a little bit loose. Other than that I think it's a fantastic bike. Easily fits in the home, can fit inside a car trunk and can even fit in subway rush hour.

Very similar to the Propo37 but without the racks.
wouldn't it be funny if we got another snowstorm before summer officially begins
Awesome - question, folded, how tall is the overall bike? I saw conflicting info. so was hoping for a 'real world' measurement. Thanks!!
Has anyone heard about the recently released M160 Foldtan? Its 48V 20Ah battery and 750W motor are just off the charts in terms of performance.
This looks identical to the lectric xp Lite. Unless I'm missing something, all specs seem the same? I was going to buy the XP Lite but this has me really thinking.
Ones from a Arizona based company the other from a Texas based company.
I'm SO mad
Is this just a rebranded Lectric XP Lite?
Competition for Lectric lite!
Could I make a 14 mile round trip commute on this thing? 7 miles each way. It would save me a little time, but mainly it would be more fun than the highway.
Yes I get about 30 miles to a charge but I'm light on the throttle. Mostly peddle assist between 3-5,
Really tempted to try buy this for $539 with a coupon code. This looks identical to a Lectric XP Lite, but lacking the overall customer support and backing of Lectric. Is it worth the savings or should I go with the bigger brand? 🤔
what code?

At 500 that’s a deal but I love my Xp Lite can’t go wrong with Lectric hope you pick what’s best for you 🫡
@@TheMule93x They might reduced the promo, this only took 5% off so the price is $560
Hello, was wondering if you had another coupon code? Maybe for Amazon? haha I'm buying this soon and that one doesn't work anymore. Thanks if you do 😀
i got the aostirmotor a20 and its 36v 500w and get about 27 mph
I’m about 5ft7 190lbs , how would the speed and handling be you think?
That’s the xp Lectric lite lol 😅
it is, at a fraction of the cost.
Is this a class 2 or class 1 ebike?
2. class one cant have a trottle
Is there a small hole to charge or do I have to take out the battery to charge it?
Late answer: there is a small hole at the left to plug the charger, no need to remove the battery.
Can someone please help me I just bought a gotrax 1 I was using it and my back wheel looked on me can’t get it to move
Can you get to top speed without peddling? Would greatly appreciate a response :)
Yes he showed that in the video
Great Review, It appears to be a knockoff of the Lectric XP Lite. And may well be if they both come from China. It Would make a great RV Camping Bike!
Hello , Is the XP Lite a Better bike?
Thanks ☮
no, same exact bike. yours truly, day one lectric lite owner
@@michaelv1984 Right0n Thanks
Good job on the 30 lbs loss and good review
Hmmm, kinda looks familiar. I wonder how "Lite" it really is? lol
this just got on a deal for 600. 10/10 would recommend. i’m getting this for my birthday in 2 weeks and it looks great!
The f1 is $540 now but no batteries available. No racks, etc, either.
Can anyone tell me how to fix my brakes from squeaking so loudly? Sometimes i like to ride late at night and it wakes the neighbors.
Replace with different pad material. Or better yet replace the entire calipers with zoom hb100. Did that on my lite and no more squealing, faster braking, and no more readjusting pads as they wear. Best $40 spent. Almost as good as my full hydraulic bikes
Price? Oh yeah they charge you with shipping so no trax better with letric free shipping 🎉
Never buy an ebike without gears.
If the motor or battery fails while you're out somewhere, you're screwed!
That is true, now I might not buy this one anymore. Might go with the Sinch
I can ride my lectric lite with no power no problem. Its not a heavy bike
dude reminds me of ben cowan
What do you know about the government grant Ebay program what do you know about it it's all over facebook
That’s a good bike for a teenager
Would go with the Lectric XP Lite for US based support company.
This is just the lectric xp lite with gotrax branding same specs and everything
Do you think the materials are the same to a T in which the bikes are made from? Because i thought about buying the lite , but the motor is 350 and the lite motor is 350 with the lectric Mileage at 40 and trhe F1 Mileage at 25.
Different frame, motor, made by different manufacturers.. not at all the same bike
@@jahbrake9791and batteries, racks, etc not available. Batteries out of stock for awhile. Lectric seems to always have parts and accessories, plus the longer range.
if anyone wants all of that then go for zectron ebike
Another folding bike company that does NOT supply anything to keep the bike safe in folding position!!
48V7.8Ah is very pathetic for a bike like that. At least try to make it 48V20Ah for the electric bike.
That's how those companies work man. The average man wouldn't be knowledgeable when it comes to electric bikes so they take advantage of your ignorance and over charge for pathetic specs. It's sad really lol
The Lectric Xp. lite would be my first choice
What is the difference between the Lectra lite and the f1
@@steverobertson932 to be honest the F1 looks like it might have a bigger motor and it has a bell lol the Lectric Xp lite has a 300 motor peaks at 720
the F1 has a 350 motor I’m not sure of the peak power but they both do 20mph so they’re basically are the same might be a good deal.
I would haft to ride the F1 to be fair but I hope you will be riding soon.🤞
@@steverobertson932the major difference between the F1 and XP Lite is the Gotrax has an actual tail/brake light which for me and for most people that love night riding is important..and it's 200 bones less...
I've been riding this bike for about a month ruclips.net/user/postUgkxwC0IIeIomGQVeBWg-kKJaToZkLEFIA2W and a half now and I think it's fantastic.
Bust waste of money you are going to want more once you ride any e bike this one isn't even good enough for a starter 0:54
👍
bug:)
Paid by gotrax!
bug 😂
Honestly, this seems like just...ok. I got an Oraimo monster 100, 100 dollars off. And its a fully sized 26 inch bike with a bafang 350 watt motor. For 600 with the discount. The ugly little ebikes...dont appeal to me.
The Amazon listing shows a peak of 500W🎉
