Love Cate and her sense of humour. She is so real and refreshing. She completely amazes me of how intelligent she comes across in these interviews. She's brilliant!! "Carol" was such a beautiful and mesmerizing film. It certainly deserved an Oscar nomination for best picture, but that's another sad story.
Forget about the Oscar, l hope CAROL get the awards that they deserve at the BAFTA. Kudos to the script writer, production designer, costume designer, cinematographer and composer for the collective efforts they had made for this utterly beautiful film! Both Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara deserve recognitions for their powerful performances. As for Todd Haynes, this guy deserves ALL the credits for bringing us the most beautiful film of the year!!
She is so articulate and you can see she truly understands the character she portrayed and the essence of what the movie, Carol, was about . Carol was definitely one of my favourite movies....ever.
I believe that Cate Blanchett was created for exactly “this time.” Why? Because “this time” in the universe so desperately needs a Cate Blanchett. And how blessed we are to have her. ✌🏻❤️🤝🎶
Fuck yeah it is refreshing!! I was so surprised it ended well! I don't even know how many lesbian movies I've seen with terribly scarring endings... and that sends a message.
Great interview and great interviewer, very fluent and refreshing amongst the other ones I watched. No stupid questions and awkward moments, you can see Cate enjoyed it, too. I'll remember your name James Sloan!
yes! lesbian films needs no drama shit that reflect real life lesbian who suffer shits and mentally ill anymore. we need love stories or positive storyline just like other ordinary heterosexual film.
duelbuster123 yeah. As important as it is to portray the journey and hardships along the way, what is great about Carol is that it is not another movie about hardships of lesbian love. It reminds us that love is just love no matter the gender of people involved and let us enjoy and experience it through the characters.
The lust and love, coupled by the make up, wardrobe, acting and the beauty of each of these two stars was very hard for me to see, although I loved the movie and both of them. I related so hurtfully as this was the exact thing that my Carole and I went through. Carole died on 2013 and I keep looking at recaps from this film.
I love this interview! I can't understand this 100% though... She is absolutely stunning. What's he saying in 0:19~0:23? help me please T^T I've tried to find a transcript of this interview to perfectly understand, but i can't .......
+Elena Metliczkaya He said that it suggests that it's a little bit like seeing your grandparents. You don't really consider them people, you consider them grandparents. But they are real people with hopes and fears of their own.
I can listen to her talk all day.
Esa voz subyuga...😊
This was a good interview with a nice, earnest interviewer. How rare!
Haha, that's us! Make sure you check out more of James's interviews on our channel x
No wonder Rooney loves her
Ruka Ahmed who doesn't?
NO WONDER. SO BEAUTIFUL TOGETHER.

Never a dull moment with Cate! She is really eloquent. Her enunciation to every word is hypnotizing.
Does anyone notice her how eloquent her hands are...
Avita Roopnaraine i do agreed!
Cate was created for a different time. A time more dignified and refined than today. But I sure am glad she is around!

Great interview and great interviewer, very fluent and refreshing amongst the other ones I watched. No stupid questions and awkward moments, you can see Cate enjoyed it, too. I'll remember your name James Sloan!

We need to show reality but I think we enjoy the positive outlook more. Carol didnt focus only on the hardship, it was wholesome.
This is by far the nicest interview i've seen in my life.
Back at a time before the last rest of her naturalness exist.
Cate, pleeease don't give up acting! lol that would ruin my life!

Barbara Morton-Winters My deepest sympathy for the loss of your Carole, Barbara Morton-Winters. 😞❤️❤️❤️
I recently subscribed to your channel, etc. ☺️
This movie is pure magic 💗
the guy is hypnotised by her, I mean same but...
Dammit Cate you spoiled the end! 😂
Its kind of nice to know that its not a stereotypical tragic ending though.
+ThestralFang It is based on a rather famous book... it would be difficult to spoil the ending .. unless they change it.
langsense I have a copy of The Price of Salt. I grew up in the fifties therefore makes the story even more special. ✌🏻❤️🤝🎶
Is this a staring contest? Lol great interview
Beautiful and smart Cate
I Love her...
All of these interviews are so polite, when really all anyone want to hear about are the sex scenes.
(I know this comment is 3 years old but) oh my god yes, you're so spot on, haha!
CATE BLANCHETT EU TE VENERO
I love this interview! I can't understand this 100% though... She is absolutely stunning.
What's he saying in 0:19~0:23? help me please T^T I've tried to find a transcript of this interview to perfectly understand, but i can't .......
xiao lee «I can't really see anybody else playing the role other than you, which is always the thought of the best compliment you can give»
Her husky voice 😌
What is he saying on 2:01, after "you consider them parents"...? Please, help!
+Elena Metliczkaya He said that it suggests that it's a little bit like seeing your grandparents. You don't really consider them people, you consider them grandparents. But they are real people with hopes and fears of their own.
That they are cuddly and nice but they are people who have hopes and fears of their own
+Elena Metliczkaya "you consider them grandparents. They are cuddly and nice but obviously they are real people with hopes and fear of their own"
Reminded me of slime moulds of northern Spain. Wonderful. Very unbordered.
Ahh why did i watch this before watching the movie.. spoilers
CATE BLANCHETT THE WOMAN THAT YOU ARE!!!!!!!!
I just don’t understand why she’s married to Andrew she never talks about him
Zenda Russo That's her private life.
Mejor que no hable de el ( A NADIE LE INTERESA EL ELLA ES LA IMPORTANTE Y SU TRABAJO.)...
😊😊😊😇😇😇😇😇😇
Can Cate Blanchett keep her clothes on in this interview, let's find out.
Interviewer at 4.12

Cate polifacética
no sé quién tiene la voz más masculina si cate o el entrevistador jaaja

Hay de TODO en la viña del señor...
Hay demasiada extensión, humana, muchas veces, sin ningún sentido.
