Somewhere on RUclips is a interview with the costume designer about the creation of the wedding dress. She described how finding just the right fabric was important because of the water feature it would darken the fabric when it got wet. And she looked high and low for fabric that would retain it's color, something most of us wouldn't even had noticed watching the movie.
That's fascinating!! I'll have to check that out!
My sister and I were laughing in the theaters at this scene because there is no way in hell our dad would pay for a wedding like this.
It is Hollywood, but Singapore does it better. Things in Singapore can be done very quickly with style and elegance. I love Singapore, you can get anything you want: it just takes money. The Rich of Singapore are in another level when it comes to money, taste and expectations.
Just to keep in perspective Astrid’s net worth was about 5 billion dollars and she was in her 30s. Imagine the net worth of Astrid father. Both families were crazy rich. Astrid spent about 100 million on ear rings. Her family treated the girlfriend like trash. I can only imagine how they treated Astrid’s husband. No wonder he wanted out. Nothing he ever did mattered. In the books he never cheated he pretended to cheat to get a divorce. Old money people can sure be evil. Grandma was horrible.
Not just old money, but also those without money can be terrible. Evil does not discriminate!
Even in India, we have finger bowls and fresh towels for hand cleaning distributed at start of any events. Try reacting to Anant -Radhika Ambani pre-wedding celebrations. You will be appalled.
My husband during his bachelor party drank two 9% beer at dinner, stopped at a 2nd bar, then threw up before he got in the club. Had to come get him 😂
