Just when my enthusiasm for guitar playing was starting to wane, Justin's re-energised me with a new idea to try out! Many thanks!

Justin - tell me if I’m wrong. And I apologize if I am wrong. I hope you are doing well. Something seemed off. You have saved me through this pandemic, teaching me to play guitar. God bless you!

Been following J since I started at the beginning of lockdown (9 months?). Bought one of his books. Never commented on anything till now though.
Found this vid so helpful already. Hints, tips, challenges and inspiration in eighteen minutes 👍

👍👍. This is a "universal" riff I nearly forgot to include in my playing......can't wait to jam with the band!! Thanks for the additional hints on picking.....I will check them out.

Justin, I really love this new series of blues riffs and rhythm guitar. As always you are a teacher who pays attention to detail, and breaks everything down to the essential parts in an easy to follow manner.

Nice work Justin! Really appreciate the discussion on alternate picking technique. I'm an experience player, but I never thought about moving in and out as opposed to up and down. Maybe I'm already doing it unconsciously, but I bet I'll solve some problems with certain licks/vamps by paying attention to that detail. By the way, one tip I got from a Blues pro is that the old guys maximized downstrokes when picking their solos and vamps. At first, it's a bit strange to do this when you're used to alternate picking but you might find that you capture more of that old school feel - if that's what you're aiming for. Be well.

I see you have a loose screw on the bridge pickup and it is about to fall out. Touch it with a screwdriver before it gets gone.
Thanks for the lesson. I learned a couple of new patterns to try!!

You should make some backing track to go with stuff like this. This would sound great in a band context. I think that being a beginner it will be hard to visualize that stuff unless you hear a full backing track along with it.

The fret marker at fret 12 is funny somehow... In Latin, to say it's fret no. 12, it should be XII, which wouldn't be symmetrical, but read as "vivi", it means "alive" or "vivid". 😏
    BTW: great video! 👍🏻
