Probably the best ' what's in bag video' I've seen, excellent.
Insane to hear that he played regular shafts in college, and just went for the massive hooks. Dude's ridiculously talented--can make anything work.
He said "regular stiff shafts" so who knows what he meant by that other than maybe just "stiff".
T. White haha yeah good point, but even so, I draw my s300's and my driver swing speed is uhhh... not touching 120mph anytime soon.
It's almost a cliche at this point but he really does do it his own way. The explanation of his extra thick grips is fascinating, too.
Yeah, he meant stiff shafts off the rack I think. You could watch this video and conclude that shafts aren’t that important, or that they are really important. His attention to his short game clubs is telling though.

Possibly the best WITB Vids ever. Brilliant insight into whats in Bubba`s Bag and an even better insight into whats going on inside Bubba`s head! The more you see of the real Bubba the more that your warm to him. He doesn't take himself too seriously and doesn't need to know the details, just to know if it works is all he needs to know!! So refreshing and no Bullshit!!!!!

I re-watched the Vid following your comment and you are correct in saying that you don`t get a closeup view of each club. But I`m not sure why you would want a closeup view anyway? They did show closeups of his driver, his 55 Irons and his Wedges with Bubba logos and detailed the shaft details as sub-titles, which for me was enough as I know what the clubs look like anyway.
The reason I thought it was such a good WITB was to listen to Bubba talk about his clubs and himself. Usually Player WITB are robotic (take Dustin Johnson`s interview in the same series) and wooden. But in this interview I really enjoyed Bubba opening up about himself, I found it endearing.

Bubba is so down to Earth. It was as if you were talking golf with one of your mates from your Saturday foursome. Very insightful into his tools of the trade and he speaks in terms that we can all understand.

So interesting to hear bubba talking about the layers of tape under his grips and the way the grip is offsett. But to him its normal. Super talented guy. 10 th at augusta will never be forgotton. Super video.

How can you not like this guy? I just love he has ignored the ENTIRE teaching industry (if you can come out and beat me, maybe I'll listen to you), lets Ping make his clubs and doesn't try to be an engineer, ignores the "workout and get bigger" trend while still bombing the ball off the tee past most of them, and doesn't see shots like most out there probably because he learned hitting whiffle balls around his yard. That last element explains why he sees curve in almost everything. What a self taught player! When he is competitive in an event, I make the effort to watch.
I used to have a BiMatrix shaft on an old driver but some jerk stole it! Still miss that driver! Those shafts are amazing!
I'm so glad one of the longer drivers on Tour is using a twenty year old shaft design! I think it's great! Great set of clubs there, crazy long with that 2 iron. Bubba Watson, a regular type guy!

Great Video Bubba is such a “Real” person so refreshing ! Ive been curious as to why he stays with the S55 irons i have a set and they are great interesting that he doesnt like the Iblades as much as the S55 because of flight trajectory. Ive always assumed that was a big part of the reason but great insight to hear it from his mouth. Awesome video

I take all the labels off my shaft, whatever that means, one if the biggest hitters and best golfers on tour, no idea what a shaft does but 21 handicappers need this shaft and that shaft to take this off it and that’s off it

Great job by Bubba.. Interesting .. But when he got to the irons... Wonder what Ping dot color code (lie angle) his S55 irons are?? Just wondering because when he swings it looks like he attacks the ball from a bit of an odd angle..
