    This was exactly the video I needed to fix my washer. In my case, none of the rods or springs needed to be replaced, but one of the rods must have shook loose when I was washing a very heavy mattress cover that wasn't balanced. It took me about 20 minutes to fix. This video saved me an unnecessary repair call and $$$.

    Our washer (Admiral) was doing the exact same. The plastic at that top of the tub was chipped too. I was fully expecting one of the rods to be broken. I guess it’s just the springiness of the spring?! I’ll replace them anyway, hope it works! Thanks

    Thanks, you explained things well. I repaired mine and it works great. Replacement Brands did seem to make a difference. I initially bought Amazon suspension rods assembled them and it still shook. I went and got the manufacturers brand and it worked great. ANOTHER THING THAT HELPED IS I USED A BUNGEE TYOE CHORD TO PULL THE BASIN TO THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE REPLACEMENT AREA. That seemed to help give me the elbow room to work on it

    • @rickeykeeton4770
      @rickeykeeton4770 2 года назад

      @@homegrowncountryhomeplace Actually, I don’t think the springs are weak.
      It is the rubber cap above the spring that sits on top of the spring. It is not supposed to move freely up and down.
      I still kind of scratch my head on that.
      There are some that fix that piece to make it more stationary and solves the problem.
      I do not know for sure how long their repairs last.
      Still trying to figure a way to solve this problem and avoiding the expense of some of these rods myself.
