I followed this video and replaced the suspension rods in less than an hour. Very detailed video with all the information needed for a DIY'er. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and now my washer runs so smooth! :)
Happy you got it fixed. Good job my friend. Thank you and have a Blessed Day. Justin
This was exactly the video I needed to fix my washer. In my case, none of the rods or springs needed to be replaced, but one of the rods must have shook loose when I was washing a very heavy mattress cover that wasn't balanced. It took me about 20 minutes to fix. This video saved me an unnecessary repair call and $$$.
Glad it helped you out! Thanks for watching and have a Blessed Day Friend! Justin
Awesome video, brother! And well explained where someone like me can understand. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! 👍🏻💪🏻
Your very welcome. Have a Blessed Day Friend! Justin
Thank you!! I used my girly screwdriver and my teenage son for muscle! Solved my problem for the $30 the part cost!! Your video walked me step by step!
Way to go Kathleen. Good job. Happy you got it fixed. Have a Blessed Day Friend! Justin
Thanks Brother for the help fixxing my out of balance Admiral washer.... you save me about $600 my wife was about to spend on a new washer... I just followed your video and now it's working like it was brand new. Thanks again I really appreciate it
Your very welcome. Have a Blessed Evening Friend. Justin
Our washer (Admiral) was doing the exact same. The plastic at that top of the tub was chipped too. I was fully expecting one of the rods to be broken. I guess it’s just the springiness of the spring?! I’ll replace them anyway, hope it works! Thanks
Not exactly sure of what goes bad on the rod but it fixed ours by replacing them. Hope you get it fixed. Have a Blessed Day Friend. Justin
Thank you for posting this! For the last few months my Roper washer had been slamming around like a mosh pit unless the load was perfectly balanced.
After putting new suspension rods in, it stopped walking across the room.
Your very welcome. Glad you got it fixed. Have a Blessed Day Friend. Justin
Thanks, you explained things well. I repaired mine and it works great. Replacement Brands did seem to make a difference. I initially bought Amazon suspension rods assembled them and it still shook. I went and got the manufacturers brand and it worked great. ANOTHER THING THAT HELPED IS I USED A BUNGEE TYOE CHORD TO PULL THE BASIN TO THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE REPLACEMENT AREA. That seemed to help give me the elbow room to work on it
Thanks 😊 I called a handyman to help figure out what was wrong with my machine. He told me it would cost more than $300 to fix and to just get a new machine. I have the same exact machine as yours. I ordered the rods for $30. Installed them today and it’s like a brand new washer! Thanks!
Your very welcome. Have a Blessed Day Friend. Justin
Our washer sounds possessed . Thanks for the help.🤔😉😁

Thank you so much..for sharing...

I like it 👍
I use and extra rod to help pull the replacements up and into the cup/bushing.
Just turn it upside down, run it through the hole where the replacement comes up through then pull the replacement up through the hole snd connect it.
Good idea. Thanks for sharing. Have a Blessed Day Friend.
Justin
Thank you. That's exactly what was wrong with mine!!

Thank you for this video I have the same washing machine and the same problem , I notice that some of the suspension rods come with 4 little springs ? But didn't see any on your video ? Thanks for your help
Thank you Very helpful
Thank you so much for this video!
But I gotta say. Damn you got some grip strength 😂💪
I compromised.
When I put the new rod in through the bottom.
We used the old rod hook to fish it though the top, pull the new one up & slid those weird things on. 👍
(Hope that makes sense?)
& Heavily threatened the washing machine that this better be the fix or it's going out on the corner 🤞👊
Your very welcome. Good idea using the old rods to pull them through. Have a Blessed Day Friend.. Justin

Thank you so much! You were so kind in sharing this video and you did an amazing job explaining it. I’m a 47 year old Middle Eastern woman and even I found this to the point and very helpful. I’m going to fix mine myself and praying all goes well. How long did it take for your parts to arrive? I only have one day to fix mine so I’m wondering if I should just go to Home Depot to get the part?
I think it took 4 to 5 days but if you can get it local that would be good too. I hope yoy get it fixed. Let me know if you rum into any problem or have a question. God Bless. Justin
Thank you.You we're helpful.
Your welcome! Have a Blessed Day Friend! Justin
Thank you. Well explained.
Your welcome. Glad you found it helpful! Have a Blessed Day Friend! Justin
Thanks for the info, those old springs don't look too bad, but if it fixed the problem that must have been it.
I couldn't see any thing wrong with them myself. Must have been weak. Our machine still is working good after replacing them. Have a Blessed Day Friend! Justin
@@homegrowncountryhomeplace Actually, I don’t think the springs are weak.
It is the rubber cap above the spring that sits on top of the spring. It is not supposed to move freely up and down.
I still kind of scratch my head on that.
There are some that fix that piece to make it more stationary and solves the problem.
I do not know for sure how long their repairs last.
Still trying to figure a way to solve this problem and avoiding the expense of some of these rods myself.
Btw, are you from Alabama? I am in NW Alabama.
@@rickeykeeton4770 thanks for the information. I am from NE MS, so I guess we're kind of like neighbors. Have a Blessed Day Friend. Justin
@@homegrowncountryhomeplace I thought we had the same speaking patterns.
Good that this worked for you.
I had thought before to research how to retemper the springs or where to buy them.
Then, I have seen where so many talk about the rubber caps, or whatever they are called, are not supposed Tom be so freely.
Like I said, this kind of has me scratching my head.
I have not got any more stabilized yet.
I do intend to give it another honor two.
Florence, Alabama here, so I guess we are neighbors.
@@rickeykeeton4770 We live NW of Tupelo, MS. I don't know how to remedy them bushings?

Thank u!!!

Thank you fr i drop the washer n the rod fell off.
Your very welcome. Have a Blessed Day Friend. Justin
thanks, great info
so, is it onlyvthat the springs lose their resistence , or do the plastic parts wear out also?
To be honest with you I am not sure? Seems like I remember someone saying that the plastic bushings wear but not for sure. have a Blessed Day Friend! Justin
I like that light you're using. What's the brand / model?
I got it at wal mart. I don't think you can get them anymore. It is a hypertough I believe. I looked for a model number before but it doesn't have one. Have a Blessed Day Friend. Justin
If this doesn't fix it, then you might try doing a RECALIBRATE... which involves simply turning the dial in a manner that activates the calibrate mode. Other videos on youtube explain it and it isn't difficult.
Hello David, so far it has fixed it. Thanks for the information. Have a Blessed Day Friend. Justin
I’m trying to figure out if my springs are broken/worn or not. I pulled the rods out and took a look. They all look the same. Should I be able to move the spring up and down the length of the rod or should they be locked in place? I mean when it’s out of the machine.
I remember the plastic bushings would move but can't remember about the springs. My old springs and bushings were not broken or could I see any defects. But when I put the new set of springs in, it fixed the machine from shaking. Hope this helps. Have a Blessed Day Friend! Justin
did you notice the worn out or split place in the tub hangar when you were showing us the underside install? it might not have been a bad place but rather a stain or piece of trash or lint but i saw something anyway. greetings from middle ga. smack dab in the middle of Dixie.......g
Thanks for watching. That was probably old grease that you seen. Washer is working good now thankfully. Greetings from Mississippi Friend and have a Blessed Day!
I got the same machine it keeps banging on spin cycle. I’m hoping it’s the springs
Yes. That’s exactly what mine is doing during the spin cycle. It sounds like someone is literally beating the washer with a rubber mallet.
Replacing these springs should fix it. Thanks for watching! Have a Blessed Day Friend! Justin
Homegrown Country Homestead Thank you for the response. I’m planning on ordering the parts for it this week. Looks fairly straightforward.
Repack the Suspension rod Buffers with Dow Corning 111. It's what stops this crap when new.
Thanks for the information. Have a Blessed Day Friend. Justin
It's YOUR washing machine. 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣
How do you remove the console lid on this ? It has those annoying clips and you can't use a putty knife to release them.
Hello friend, on mine the only thing I had to do was pull the top toward me and then just wiggle the top a little and it releases. They are a little frustrating. Hope this helps. Have a Blessed Day Friend! Justin
I changed the springs and suspension rods. Still heavy shaking and noisy spin cycle . Another thing that i have to fix ? Thanks
I hate to here that. Maybe call service repair tech and see if they can give some advice what it might be. I appreciate you watching and commenting. Hope you can get it fixed. Have a Blessed Day Friend! Justin
joeiron Hey, joeiron. I fixed mine. This vid is in Spanish, but the guy demonstrates very well. I haven’t had any problems since. The springs didn’t work for me. Basically a free fix. ruclips.net/video/DVxw6Hrd6H8/видео.html. Hope this helps.
👌👍
Where do you get the part?
I ordered the springs from Amazon. You can also get them from a local appliance parts store. Hope this helps. Have a Blessed Day Friend. Justin
@@homegrowncountryhomeplace thank u for great service Justin

Why not just stretch out the old springs?
Not sure if it would work. Have you tried this and it fixed the problem? Let me know. Have a Blessed Evening. Justin
Watched a few videos, no one talks about the different length rods.
Thanks for watching Gary. I just ordered the rods for my particular machine model. Not sure about different rod lengths. Have a Blessed Day Friend! Justin
Homegrown Country Homestead ii ordered a set last week. Ended up being almost two inches shorter than the ones that came out. Impossible to install them. Lots of research I found a set that is 25.5 inches. First set was 23.6.
whats the part number?
Part number is at the beginning of video and in the description. Have a Blessed Day Friend.
i did that and did not fix it
The plastic cup is called a friction cup. I'm in the process of replacing all 4 suspension rods. I think this is a poor design !!!!!!!!!!!!
I agree. Have a Blessed Day Friend.
