New audio equipment is on the way! Thanks for your patience :D Pros: Budget turbo components reduce financial speedbump when something goes horribly wrong. Cons: Budget turbo components increase the odds of something going horribly wrong. How long do you think Kevin's build will be able to reliably put down 350+whp??
RUclips makes us too used to 1k hp this and that.. billet this and that... People dont realize that for your average person, a basic turbo build is a huge accomplishment. As much as I love full build huge power builds, its still cool to see a basic build that is still very quick. Awesome car!
My first car was a 06 rsx type s 4 years ago and I still drive daily, I have a black stock looking as well. I love it, i will keep it forever. The body style is timeless and Vtec be hitting!!
now that you have all that power, I would recommend doing an AWD Conversion so you can put that power down reliably without wheelspin. I learned that you can do this with 02-04 CRV parts and a few other things however there's no guide (from my limited research) to this as this was done in a shop but if you search AWD RSX and check the channel That Racing Channel there's a video that talks about it and all the parts that were used in the description. Hope you do this cause that RSX would become an even deadlier beast.
I have RSX with the cx racing kit as well, makes 460 on 13.8 PSI with tial 44mm wastegate still stock rims but r888r in the front. also daily it for 6 months no issues not one boost leak or anything. The CX turbo is finally going out as it is building up oil. but I am planning on buying a new one
Same, cx racing kit I thought was solid for the price. Ended up replacing stuff with tial WG and BOV years down the road and did full build with all Manley internals (went 9:1) with supertec top end. Clutch, fuel and all that other stuff as well. 460 on @14 is way higher than my initial setup but the tune is the key. My initial tune on stock compression and internals was 331 @12psi. Haven't dyno'd it since, but threw 26psi on the last data log before changing a few things if I remember correct. Def destroys the mustangs and challengers that alway bark at me on the highway. They get gapped halfway through 4th from a 60 roll.
I just got me one of these, it's in the shope rn getting dolled up, it will be done in about a month then she's getting dyno tuned down in dayto ohio (HOUSE OF HONDA BABY)
Rsx is most definitely an underdog chassis unless we are talking about a Type R. That being said, it’s hard to name a more sporty practical daily that gets good mpg. If you don’t need back seats, this is hard to beat for the price point.
Now imagine this motor & boost in a 79 Civic (wagon) My buddy should be wrapping it up in the next month or two, then sending for paint but once it's done... you gotta film that shit!
You should try a Renault Megane RS, way better chassis than the Honda Civic. Still the fastest FWD on the Nurb and they don't cheat lol. I miss my Megane 3 RS, i was destroying RS3,RS4, BMW M3, Cayman and some 911 on the Nurb.
I'm just in the first couple days of my K20 turbo EF sedan. So I KNOW THE FEELING.. haha.. Its incredible. You can check out my tune on PFi Speed youtube channel from a couple days ago.
I did all of the build myself as well. Had to learn how to Tig weld... We made 411 horsepower at 8ish lbs of boost.. K20z1 with a GTX3071r. Wavetrac LSD and I added the tsx 6th gear to my AWD CRV 5 speed transmission.
@@RoadsUntraveled fwd is not for everyone but it can be just as good as rwd or awd around the bends especially in little cars like integras and eg’s or ek’s! I’m doing the opposite of boosting my k24/20 I’m doing a fully built high compression all motor that should make around 330whp and scream to 10k rpm in a fwd 93 civic coupe, and it’ll be on itb’s and managed by haltech

My 8th gen at 380 whp lasted a long time. Just now rebuilding trans with 150k. Car was boosted around 100k? I do drive quite nice but still roll race.

Big FACTS
Power to weight is a thing lol. Sub 3000lb cars with 300+ whp and traction feel faster than one would think…
@@jonj4357 this is true. I have a fbo tuned mazdaspeed3 and it feels much faster than my old 370z which was a pig lol
That's why we're kings n the rest are peasants.
If the owner sees this, please put a decent tire on this thing. It'll make a world of difference.
@Noise Control r888r’s at 400hp is different
Barely any spin.
And a clutch too😂

Same here bro never selling my RSX-S!
As much as I love my turbos, there's just something special about a well built reliable NA build.

Wat power?
It corners better as a fed than a awd.

Do an AWD conversion!!!! It’ll get rid of the wheel spin! The Racing Channel did one and it’s sick!!!!! 👌🏽🔥
Wat wheel spin? No need for 300hp.
That blue dc5 is good
Dang! Making me miss my rsx! Had two back to back but decided to let them go for an s2000.
"Honda: power of dreams"
madness, to have that power with them skinny stock wheels
