In my experience working in purchases for higher education institutions, it was picked out because 1. the square pattern means they can be cut out and removed easily if there's damage and the 2. the "vomit" color is intentional, if someone gets spilled it fades in to the background much easier.

This man is so far up his own backside that he should be removed from office AND prevented from ever holding office again, his personal views are just that, personal, and should remain private, but as an elected official he isn’t there to follow his own opinions or beliefs he is there to represent the collective opinions and beliefs of the community and whatever his thoughts are, as soon as he put them on social media, they become public interest and a conflict of interests. Unfortunately the video doesn’t go on to show the outcome of the issue but I hope he was forced to resign and learn a very valuable lesson, a lesson all elected officials should remember, YOU SERVE AT THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE, and those who put you in a position of trust and authority can just as soon remove you from that position.

Some opinions have way more value when the one expressing it is educated and just plain smarter and / or wiser then coming from another. Dumb opinions made on a widespread social media entity can become dangerous in dumbing the public even more down then it already is. You can uphold nice principles like freedom of speech and apply it on everything that is said but the good of that principle will become in reality (important word and meaning!) a negative one.
To not have freedom of speech however it gives the corrupted among us the ability to censor and normally it does not stop at that.

@@morganearp2265 I find nothing insulting about the comment at all. This man was an elected official who represented his constituents and publicly denounced a school shooting of innocent children. His demeanor at this meeting was anything less than respectable and healing. For the woman in the audience to defend him by claiming he had constitutional rights at this moment was a shameful demeaning of the innocent lives lost. The very fact he is shouting his stance like a madman and then self-righteously refusing to continue with the meeting was quite telling. "Free Speech" was not a defense; it was an excuse.

@@acolyteoffire4077 First of all, what I stated was more of a joke than a real comment I believed in. Second, if you think privilege does not exist you are sadly mistaken. If you are a straight rich white male, what are your odds of being bullied in school compared to a gay scrawny Asian kid? What are the odds of you being let off the hook for a crime you committed coming from a rich white family versus a poor black family who lives in the shitty ghetto part of town. Whether you like it or not, people treat others differently based on who they are, what they look like, and even how much money they have. Not just in schools or the justice system, but in every aspect of life. People are biased and that's a fact, and that bias gives certain people more "privilege" than others. Cops are inclined to believe adults than children, but why? Because cops are biased and believe adults are the more responsible people, so why would adults lie? Cheat? Hurt? Your appearance, age, wealth, race, abilities, all play a factor in how people treat you. And that treatment can be a privilege or a burden. In the case of a white straight man you're more likely to be treated fairly and nicely than most other minorities. So don't tell me this kind of privilege doesn't exist. It does, and it's people that choose to ignore these differences that allow this country, and this world, to fall into the steep hole of bigotry, inequality, unjustly, rigorous systems we have today.
