    My US Base has a 1 piece infotainment screen, a USB-C jack (plus USB 3 and Aux) and... no spare tire. It was just off the boat 3 weeks ago. Do you think it's a marketing thing or a late production change, perhaps?

      @TysonTheSubaruSpecialist  4 месяца назад +1

      @bvward it's not a production change for the Canadian models, we just received this one in.
      There are other differences in Subarus between Canada and the US. They do their research on their target demographics and base the vehicles/features on those 🤷‍♂️

    Weird how the base infotainment is so much more responsive than the tablet

    • @TysonTheSubaruSpecialist

      @HAMMER-V100 they're processing less/doing less than the 11.6 inch screen.

      @@TysonTheSubaruSpecialist True, it's just funny that the "lesser" infotainment system has much better performance than the upgraded system. Why would they cheap out and not put in better hardware for the tablet?? Literally one the largest infotainment systems in the industry, yet also the slowest lol

    • @TysonTheSubaruSpecialist
      @TysonTheSubaruSpecialist  3 месяца назад +1

      @HAMMER-V100 one has to be the slowest, but I'm not sure it's Subarus ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
      Subaru doesn't make the head units themselves, but something a bit more responsive would be nicer.

    Isn’t this a 23 since the 24 base models now have the tablet?

      @TheBadassOne17 we don't get the 11.6 inch tablet in the base model here in Canada, still the dual inch screens.

    Careful with these vehicles. They have widespread clunking/knocking brake issues from new. When you bring it to the dealer to have it checked, they will charge YOU a diagnostic fee even though it's a manufacturing defect that has no fix. No more Subaru's for me. My friend has the same issue with her new crosstrek too.

    • @TysonTheSubaruSpecialist
      @TysonTheSubaruSpecialist  3 месяца назад +1

      @steve8803 sorry to hear that's been your experience. Luckily, none of my clients have experienced anything like what you're describing.
      Out of the millions of vehicles produced, some are, unfortunately, going to have issues. But in general, Subarus are very reliable.
      I doubt that it would be the exact same issue with a Crosstrek and a WRX as they're very, very different.

    • @steve8803
      @steve8803 3 месяца назад

      @@TysonTheSubaruSpecialist that's funny, because my service advisor told me all Subaru's have knocking brakes. He told me that the manufacturer considers it normal and they won't cover a diagnostic for it so it's my responsibility. A brand new vehicle with knocking brakes(that they confirmed) is on me. Unreal. What's going on is the pads are rattling within the caliper bracket because they are loose fitting. Ask your techs! And yes, I know first hand it's occurring with my WRX and my friends Crosstrek.

    • @TysonTheSubaruSpecialist
      @TysonTheSubaruSpecialist  3 месяца назад

      @steve8803 yeah... definitely not the case. I test drive different new and used Subaru vehicles every day, and the brakes knocking is absolutely not a "normal" thing. You might want to get a second opinion at a different Subaru dealership.
      I'd seriously consider switching dealers if my service advisor told me that. Subaru Canada absolutely does not suggest that knocking brakes is normal operation.

      @@TysonTheSubaruSpecialist unfortunately both me and my friend cannot get another opinion from another Subaru dealership because the closest one is 1000kms aldrive plus an 8 hour boat ride away. And for both of us the issue occurred within the first 5k kms on the odometer.
