@@RedScorpion92 now that you mention it, imagine how awesome it would be to have a character with a blunderbuss, which cause more damage the closer you get to him😯 firearms would be a sweet addition!
Exactly just like early firearms guns could be wildly inaccurate at long range but devastating at short range with a slower reload time than a crossbow but fear effect like a nightmare in exchange.
"I have party of 25 companions and sometimes feel that is not enough". - Dude :) Sadly even in region locked enemy group size scales up with your party size. Not much in Tiltren but You can see that in other higher level regions. I think That's biggest defect of this game. I Didn't finish pirate DLC because fights bored me. They are too long. I win every fight very easy, it just takes time and it's not rewarding enough. Game should reward You for managing bigger group (you pay more, need more food, more equipment etc), instead You are getting punished with extremely grindy and long battles. I might come back to this game and do the dlc, but I am afraid I'll get bored too fast. For now I didn't get it yet
because of that for example You are hurting Yourself If you have animals in group, because they will never be as good as soldiers, and they count as group members. For example Bear counts as 3 men. When I noticed that I removed my 3 alpha wolves right away. This is so stupid :/
@@krzysztofkalinowski2998 maybe they changed it then with later updates, but when I initially first went into Grinmeer region I was slaughtered with region locked mode because I only had 8 companions and then I had to face 16 enemy units🫤 I only had one bear. I agree with you on pirates dlc. It was grindy and not as fun battles, but I actually enjoyed the skelmar bigger battles because you have to take over the forts. Made sense to have a big company and you also get some ectra mechanics to help in battle which you didnt get with pirates😊
@@axefield It wasn't about pirates DLC, more like campaign fatigue. Doing the same thing over and over became boring and fights too long. It just happened to me In the middle of Pirates DLC because I maxed out my gear and levels so there was nothing more to do besides just beating story. I am sure You can finish all game with 4-6 man squad and it's actually more fun because fights ale shorter. But I spend so much time on making gear and leveling up my men, buying all the skillbooks I don't want to disband my men. I like What You say about skelmar. Might give it a try someday, but first I would have to finish Pirates DLC :)
Great video! I agree, this is a very fun expansion. Ive been loving the crossbowmen with the two handed sword users. I seem to get the most opportunity attack damage from them. I usually pump crit on the xbows to make them smack harder and trigger their reload. What are your feelings on the tavern keeper DLC? have they changed at all? I had a lot of fun setting it up....but now its just kinda a meh thing that runs itself and gives me very little.
@@raginasiangaming910 I also have a two handed swordman and one with mace that deals insane opportunity attack damage with crossbowmen😄 The tavern dlc is really only good for gaining a residual income to fund my mercs. Otherwise it is pretty meh like you say...
How do you set your mace units up? For some reason you 2handed makes never come close to the swords and I often feel like my Sword and Shield makes do better damage. What am I missing here?
@raginasiangaming910 funny that you mention that, I only use one handed mace men. I have one with a legendary mace that i found in a tomb, then another which was a specific bandit that I captured and converted to a merc with insane special ability that performs attack of opportunity with normal attack. Those 2 work very well for me
@axefield there is a two handed one that hits 3x if it hits more than one enemy. Can't remember the name. I'd think this would be useful for applying status or oils, but haven't messed with it much. The thing for me is that I want half my army to engage, the other half to get a bonus for attacking an engaged enemy or from behind. I use a lot of maces/axe tanks. I think swordsmen tanks are slightly better, but I struggled to find swordsmen early game. Also use a lot of converted captives to tank.
@raginasiangaming910 oh yes, ofcourse! Dagan's Hammer, forgot about that one. I have a unit with that one. For some reason I cannot rake up a lot of damage, even with the 3 hits. I do the same with prisoners, use them in the front line. Bears I also use as tanks.
Thank you for your very interesting explanations. Good video.

Finally crossbowmen one step closer to a gunner class with an Arquebus for my pike and shot tactics.
