I think the Duffers already said no to dreams of D&D or just D&D.
I think there should definitely be an ending where Vecna is dead and everyone is with everybody and their alive

Yeah this is not happening but it's strangely fun to theorize this doomsday scenario. Like it's so outlandish that I think if it somehow happened, as improbable as it is, that I would break down in delusional laughter
Yeah the duffers said their future snowball dance outfits will hint their future careers on twitter. I saw someone saying how Will is gonna be scientist, Mike is gonna be an author, Lucas is gonna be an engineer of some sort, Max is gonna be a singer (obviously she looks like Taylor) and it’s theorized that Dustin’s clothing is made for a casket so he’s probably the one not making it

@@hassansulaiman3848nah Will won’t die he’s a Harry Potter dupe. Jonathan would never be able to bear seeing Joyce sad again or being able to sit through another funeral so he will probably sacrifice himself to redeem his character arch after S4. Dustin dying has been hinted since S2 ever since he practically became the main character instead of Will. The same was done with Eddie and other side characters before dying to make their death feel more impactful so it would only make sense to kill Dustin in S5. Ignoring Will for multiple seasons only to kill him off the final season is really bad writing.
You don’t have to worry about the show ending like that Chris because the Duffer Brothers have confirmed they are not doing that ending.

@@FilmStocked It’s so fun to speculate! While I was watching this video, I imagined myself doing the Walter White and falling on the ground with my mouth wide open. I would never be able to emotionally recover from this ending and I would probably just stay in my room for the rest of my life and stare at my ceiling 😂
I feel like there could be a way this ending could work, but it would have to be executed perfectly.
For it to work it needs to keep the stakes of all previous seasons, so regardless on what the ending is, we still need to feel bad for any death that occurred, or anything bad that happened to any of the characters. A way I could see doing this ending, is having it be based on real events, so perhaps Will didn't get lost in another dimension, but he did get lost in the woods, maybe a bear was what killed Barb, Billy died in a mall fire, Max fell into a coma between campaigns. However they put a supernatural twist on these events and turned them into different campaigns.
Another way I could see this working, is if the series is a "loop", so what we watched is actually what's going to happen and is also the campaign that was just played. A common thing the show does is foreshadow events in d and d campaigns, so having the lives of Mike, Lucas, Dustin and Will be foreshadowed in a giant game of d and d would work perfectly.
Essentially, for this kind of ending to work, the events that happen cannot be 100% fictional and need to have an ounce of truth behind them.
The duffers confirmed there won’t be an ending like this when a reporter asked. The writers have also hinted us seeing their future careers on twitter so we don’t have to worry about it!
The Duffer brothers already said that the end of the series will not be a dream which is all part of the D&D game that the boys played at the beginning of Stranger Things, i if they do it that way, it loses meaning because everything that would have happened During the 5 seasons it was all a fantasy that is not real
I would be ticked off big time if they went with the “It Was a Dream All Along” route. Because it would take away every great moment from the series 😤😤😤

Same it would be just lazy writing and the it’s just a dream is *SO* overdone/ old but it would be better if it turns out that it was just a DND game
They cant do this bcoz the kids obviously cant imagine scenes that are....
To be fair though, if they did choose some dream ending, that would be some creative thinking! But I can say that I would 100% cry if they ended with the dream sequence...

The 'it was all a dream' ending would be really annoying and wouldnt make me feel like they tried and just went with the eadiest route
I’m just excited for the final season I grew up watching this ❤
Here is my theories that I think:
1) Eleven is Kas from DnD. Vecna recruited Kas to join his army (much like he tried to do with Eleven). Kas ended up betraying and "Killing Vecna" banishing him into the Domains of Dread; Eleven ended up sending One(Vecna to the upside down). Kas also gets banished into a domain as well. Eleven will either die or get banished to another dimension beyond recovery.
2) Mike's mom is Vecna's sister. Wild theory but she's got a poster when no other side cast does. Why tease a big role? They tease death a lot as well. I know there is 0 evidence but the duffer brother said bitter sweet ending. Imagine Mike is related to Vecna and he has to choose sides between his friends and his family.
A lot of rambling and wasn't said the best, but I hope you find one of them interesting.

That ending would suck but it would be interesting to see vecna win
I agree. It would be a lot like Jumanji, and every bit of lore, characterisation, and plot development would be erased and turn out to be pointless. It’s also very obvious that this ending is impossible, because the Duffers have been expanding the universe with comics, The First Shadow, the new VR game, and the spin-off they plan on creating, which signifies that they won’t just play it off as if it were nothing and that they actually care about the story. Otherwise what would be the point?
This is very similar to worries that happened back when both the Harry Potter books and films were ending. People the worried it would end with Harry waking up in his cupboard and realising that it had all been a dream.
if they go for a ''villian to friend'' type of ending, ill honestly be so disappointed

It's borderline impossible that this scenario actually happens, but it's fun to theorize about the impossible every now and then

The whole DnD campaign or a dream would for sure ruin it! GOT Vibes creep in on me as well still not over it! I'd like to see more of the time travel explained why The Upsidedown is stuck in 1983 the day Will disappeared. We have to trust the Duffers to not do us dirty😅🙏

The Duffer Brothers confirmed this is not how they’re going to end it. They find the theory interesting, but agree that it’s a horrible way to end. They promise it won’t be an ending similar to Wizard of Oz. We would have invested in everything all for nothing. They promise the ending is going to be like Return of the King. That is definitely going to be the case since when they pitched it, the people at the table were left in tears. That proves we’re gonna get something good. I do think we’ll have an epilogue. Here’s what I think will happen…
First off, we could see the characters graduating high school in 1989. That would be a great achievement for El. Dustin probably might be valedictorian and give a memorable speech, like saying something about Eddie at one point. Suzie can attend the ceremony. And we could see Jim and Joyce get married. With that, El can use her powers to catch the bouquet.
But for an official epilogue, we can see the characters in modern day. The Duffer Brothers said they like how we got to see the Losers Club from IT all grown up, so they might do the same thing. We can see Steve achieve his fantasy in which he and Nancy have about six kids and drive across country in an RV to places like Yellowstone. If Jonathan dies, Nancy could have their first son named after him. Robin would be made the godmother since Steve had feelings for her and is basically his best friend. Millie Bobby Brown says she wants El and Mike married in the end. With that, the two could be parents and their kid inherited El’s powers who uses them trying to get a toy from a top shelf, similar to how El tried to get the teddy bear at the end of season 3.
The steve and nancy theory is a great one and I could see that absolutely happen.
I think fans are assuming because steve said this he may die, but he's baited every season and it doesn't make sense due to dustins trauma from eddies death. And they seem to be rekindling stancy again. I might sound mad but if steve or nancy doesn't die I think stancy might be end game. I really do feel like the duffers are going down a route where jancy is mutually ending, stancy is rekindled and endgame, or all 3 remain friends and go separate ways. Personally I'm a stancy endgame but it's so 50/50 it happen again
@@justpeachybaby5929 Honestly, I didn't have a preference on how Nancy ends up with, but before I thought about what kind of future Nancy would have with Steve for an epilogue, there was another reason why I thought that the writers wouldn't end up with Jonathan. It's because of Mike and El's relationship. You see, if Joyce and Jim get married then El will officially become Jonathan and Will's sister. And with that, if Jonathan and Nancy get married, that would make El and Mike siblings too. So it'd be awkward for them to be in love when they siblings through marriage. I mean, imagine if Mr. Clarke saw the two kissing at the school dance since he was told that El's Mike's cousin in season 1. So I think that'll be why they won't have Jonathan be with Nancy. But now that I've been thinking deeper, I think they'll be killing him off so it can impact specific character arcs other than just Nancy. This is why else I think Jonathan will die...
- It's going to be Vecna's way to torture Will. Jonathan told Will in season 2 that he's his best friend. He was the first person to accept Will's sexuality and he told Will that he will always be there when he needs someone to talk to. So Vecna could torture Will by taking away one of the closest people to him.
- Joyce spent the first two seasons trying to protect Will from the dangers of the Upside Down. Now she will actually lose one of her sons due to the Upside Down and grieve over it.
- With Jim marrying Joyce, he will do the best he can to be a good father to Jonathan and Will since Lonnie wasn't perfect. So when Jonathan dies, Jim will feel like a failure, similar to when Sara died.
- Not saying that Lonnie should return, but let's just say that he does. In season 1, he was supposed to have a redemption arc. The Duffer Brothers originally intended for Steve to die in that season (staying as a jerk) and that Lonnie would be the one to help Jonathan and Nancy fight the Demogorgon. I was wondering why we never saw his reaction upon finding out that Joyce was right about Will being alive. So imagine Lonnie finding out about Jonathan's death. Joyce wouldn't want him there because she'll think he's only there for the money again. But Lonnie would still want to know how Jonathan died. Anyway, perhaps his redemption arc can still be used for this season. Like sacrificing himself to save Will. I'm not saying we should see him again, but it'd be some good use to something that was scrapped from season 1.
- Even though we've heard that Argyle won't be returning, someone said that his pizza van was seen. I know he lives in California so his parents would be worried, especially with the people at Surfer Boy Pizza since he took the van, but it just feels wrong to not include him. He's a fun character. I mean, I would like to see Nancy find out that Argyle knew that Jonathan wasn't gonna go to the same college as her. So Nancy would be mad at him for not telling her too. But anyway, since Argyle said that Jonathan his best friend, we would see him upset. I mean, even if he's not to appear for most of season 5, we need to see him show up at Jonathan's funeral. It would just not be right.
@@ryanstauffer119 I try not to be bias but I'm more for stancy, ok yeah I get the marriage thing it would create an odd dynamic amongst the 4.
- yeah agreed I can see jonathan being used to target will, I actually have a theory about the ending of season 4 if you notice nancy and jonathan together, jonathan is always in front of nancy almost like a shield, I think that could also be foreshadowing his death for a sacrifice to nancy.
- a second theory on which I think shows the ending the of jancy is that the ending of season 4 when we see them rekindle, nancy defends steve as well as a weird tension amongst the two and if you notice jonathan nails the final nail on the board they're boarding up at hops cabin. This is definitely foreshadowing of the final nail in the coffin possible jonathan death or the end of jancy.
- yeah I think that would be shocking the fact that Joyce tried so hard to save will, she took a back seat with jonathan, and shows he will be the one to die.
I agree I'd like the duffers to show them in the future, stancy with their 6 lil kids. But because of major deaths I think we'll get a real sad ending
@@justpeachybaby5929 You are also right that it wouldn't make sense to kill Steve off since Dustin is grieving enough over Eddie's. Yes, Dustin did tell Steve "You die, I die", but Dustin is already going through too much. And yeah, they did

My theory is that the show will end with an epilogue set on the present (2024 or 2025)
Would be interesting to see how they handle that with the actors. Would they age them up or just cast older actors? Regardless, could be cool

If there’s a spinoff I’d much rather the Duffer Bros go in a **COMPLETELY** different direction like cryptids in Canada or something
I think a cool way to end the show would be to do a time jump to a point where the kids are now adults and they are taking their own kids to the snow ball dance. I feel like this would be just this full circle moment and a satisfying ending to the show. If it ends like how u said with it all just being a dnd campaign, this would take the top spot as the worst finale to any show ever. Hope that’s not the case.

I dont think anything like that would happen. But lol, I did think about this theory when watching s4. When they are making their weapons,steve and Robin are pouring kerosene into the bottles. The camera shows the kids practicing with the weapons they made. And it all kinda looked a little off idk.
I don’t think it going to end this way. I just hope Stranger Things season 5 will be just as epic as Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2, The Dark Knight Rises, Avengers Endgame, and Samurai Jack season 5. I guarantee the Stranger Things finale will end in a good note just like Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, and Doom Patrol. But to be honest, the Game of Thrones finale in my opinion was not as bad as everybody say it was but could have been better. But at least Game of Thrones had an amazing prequel House of the Dragon. Speaking of that, once Stranger Things end, it might get a possible prequel or spinoff similar to Breaking Bad had Better Call Saul and The Boys had Gen V.
And also end on the same note as Mr. Robot and The Sopranos too (as well)

The death of eddie I think has sealed steves fate to live, dustin would die if he lost the two of them. It would be poor predictable writing
Steve told nancy he loves her and wants a family. Speculating because he said this he may die.
I think it'll be nancy or jonathan to die ending the love triangle.
It seems to be working in a way steve dies (poor witting, predictable) jonathan and/or nancy die end the love triangle. All 3 go separate ways. Stancy love is rekindled.
I really do believe steve will make it the full ride, secondly I actually have a theory which is on my tiktok on why I think jonathan will be the one to die out of the 3 due to the standing on the hill at the end of 4.

I have never watched Game of Thrones, and have no intention of watching it, but I have heard that the finale of GoT was seriously awful. I do think that the Duffer brothers wouldn't do that to viewers, or they would never be able to write or produce any future shows without total backlash from the public

I would love for it to come full circle, and it end with them all playing D&D in Mike's basement, and I think they could well be what they do.
I too have thought about it ending with them all grown up, and possibly telling their kids about all that happened.
I love these videos! Sooooo...this kinda had me thinking... What if this entire show is based off of one of our Characters memories? Maybe Will? Kinda like how El participates in the NINA Project to get her powers back....hmmm....They are absolutely going to surprise us and this story is a lot bigger than we think. Each season we get a new piece of the puzzle. I' m very excited for season 5!

I don't think they'll do that but, they may go back in time and change the future.
That would be the worst. The Duffers. Are smarter than that.
My theory is that Stranger Things will come to an end, by at the very last few minutes of the show finale, it will show Dustin, Will, Mike, Eleven etc all grown up, and they can be visiting Eddie’s grave or going back to Hawkins high/ middle, or something like that.

Because it’s made for people who grew up in the 70’s & 80’s and every last one of us would appreciate and understand why it ended with a dream (or in this case a D&D campaign).
The whole show is an homage to the 80’s and most of our “twist endings” were dream episodes.
The real Stranger Things was the friends we made along the way.

I have a feeling that Stranger Things could end with the kids playing D&D but not the whole it was all a Dream thing, I mean like after Vecna is defeated and the Upside Down is gone for good, we could get like a two or three year time jump to 1989 or even 1990, with all the kids playing D&D in Mike’s basement like the good old days, their first Dungeons and Dragons campaign together since 1983 and their final one together before they all graduate high school or go off to college, in my mind that’s the way it should end

The first way would be for Will to sacrifice himself for Mike, and Mike be with 11 and the whole thing is not erased and Hawkins is saved (or not saved/seemingly saved), and it continues in a new series spinoff somewhere in the past with the MK Ultra crew from the past fighting Henry, and then the show ends with the current crew playing D&D as older peeps reliving glory days.
Or for 11 to make the sacrifice and erase the entire thing as if she never met Mike and endangered them all. It would be sad, but if you think about it, the brothers could live up to their promise, "EVERYONE WILL GET THEIR OWN ENDING AND IT WILL BE A VERY LONG LAST EPISODE BECAUSE OF IT." Meaning it could literally show everyone's ending, like Eddie and Chrissy graduating and ending up together after Jason goes away on scholarship; Max and Lucas fighting against Billy and then with Billy against the abusive dad; 11 having a better relationship with her fellow numbers and with PAPA now that she understands everyone including Henry, or just escape with 8 from the beginning and hang out with her crew, and that would involve 8 having an ending too; Mike hearing the truth from Will and making up his mind; Steve being friends with Robin and encouraging her to go for it because you never know what you could lose; Jonathan running the town's paper and hiring Nancy and Barb; Enzo, Yuri and Alexi starting a smuggling ring to save innocent prisoners; Murry remembering everything and trying to convince Hopper it happened and maybe they share a beer and become friends; Hopper asking out Joyce and they have a healthy kid together; Joyce's ex working things out with his new wife and being a part of Jonathan and Will's life; Mike's mom telling his dad to wake up and get to work she's not going to do everything by herself anymore; The pumpkin farmers unite their land and become twice as strong as business partners; Dustin goes to camp and meets Suzie and no Russians interrupt the broadcast, and no cats need to be replaced; then a cut to Argyle visiting family in Indiana and running into Jonathan, Nancy and Barb and thinking Barb is hot; Then the reveal that Henry is still alive and evil in the past and now he is MK-Ultra's problem in a spin-off series about the past.

the D&D theory is honestly such a good idea in my opinion i play D&D and i recently just started to dm(dungeon master) my friends and honestly it would be a great way to end but that’s just me one hell of a campaign these kids run for sure 😭
It is... in a way. It's Will playin it that's how his keeping Mike around. Will is playing the game and everybody is just in it. Think about it.
I have this ending idea where we see the kids as adults and each one of the characters gets a call from Will for a reunion. (Likely he'll still live in Hawkins and he becomes a science teacher like Mr. Clarke.) Then they talk about their pasts of their childhood at a diner, and then they play D&D and ride their bikes for old-time's sake. As we shoot the adult versions of the kids riding their bikes, we do an aerial shot of the town of Hawkins and then transition to a panning shot of a storage room that appears to be the Byers' old furniture. (I figured it would be a nice touch to the idea of the 80's nostalgia.) Then we see Will's old radio in a dark corner, and it appears to be glitching, and suddenly the button turns on its own and starts playing "Should I Stay or Should I Go" and then everything cuts to black as the song continues to play for the series finale's end credits. Let me know what you think.
The only good way they could use the “it was just a dream” would this: *wakes up* “oh my god that was just a dream” *looks around* “Holy sh- it’s not!!
The fact that the kids should be in their early teens, but all look like they are in their mid 30s is the worst way for Stranger Things to end…
Can totally see an epilogue type thing where it’s a class reunion and instead of the kids being seen as the losers they are seen as the hero’s of Hawkins for saving the town back in the day

@@brysonfreeman7226 To be honest, the Game of Thrones finale is not as horrible as Lost, Dexter, How I Met Your Mother, Charmed, and Seinfeld. At least the final season of Game of Thrones had its moments and the battle of Winterfell episode was outstandingly epic though the season as a whole could have done better.
Again as long as they introduce time travel or pull a, it was all just a dream then im done

Yeah in almost every season there's something about Mike that makes it seem like he's at least interested in Will than more of a friend. Season 4 really showed a lot more of that too. Like the huge one way sign pointing towards his open bedroom closet. Not giving Will a hug at the airport when Will expected one, than he immediately asked what Will was holding after he had read the day before that Will might be painting for a girl he likes. Definitely jealousy. Plus way too much more but those are some of the real noticeable ones in season 4.
