Keep in mind, the bullies pushed Corey off the bridge, and that caused him to meet Michael Myers, who has REALLY changed Corey. So technically the bullies did this to themselves.

Absolutely love this scene. It has that retro vibe. It's brutal and fresh but it still feels like Halloween and The Shape. Carpenter's score is perfect for it. It's also amazing to me how they were able to capture the vibe of pretty much every Halloween movie ever made throughout this trilogy.
At this point Corey was the new Shape. He leveled with Michael's strength as it was in the 78 film. Not only is he just as young and has the same physique Michael had in 78, he also had about the same number of kills his unstoppability feeds from. Remember in end of Halloween Kills, Laurie implies that Michael becomes more unstoppable every time he kills. He was weaker here because of the 4 years of absence and was only able to regain a bit of strength from the shared killings he and Corey made. I know people complain Michael was all of a sudden weaker here, but let's not forget that in the 2018 film he killed a bus load of mental patients and institutional guards to regain his strength and became his strongest at the end of Kills.
@@Larkinovickills had it all to his playfulness, the incredible endurance and strength, a really great stalking/chase scene reminiscent to 78’. It was an incredible evolution from the first film
No, characters are acting far dumber here.
LOL So 100% totally true and i gotta say this is one of the best Scary Halloween movies ever in Halloween history 😈☠🎃👿💀
The David Gordon Green trilogy may have had its flaws but I actually like the fact that they tried something different with each installment. It may not have been everyone's cup of tea but I enjoyed them quite a lot.
indeed
I agree. Especially will the whole evil changing shape stuff.
The crazy thing is a few Halloween films actually discussed the darkness being infectious. The Dr on the 2018 movie had it. His Niece Jamie definitely felt it. Laurie felt it. The curse could have possibly made it a true thing they just took the movie in so many directions. The new trilogy has its flaws but I love them regardless.
I agree

The most underrated part of this scene in my opinion is when Corey takes the mask off briefly to trick Ronald (the guy with the guns) into hesitation and confusion. I say this is underrated because Michael's only consistent vulnerability is when he loses his mask or someone takes it off of him. Corey in this case uses it as an advantage in order to create collateral damage. I like how even though they make him The Shape here, they do some things to make him distinguishable from Michael.
No, I think Corey took off his mask because he didn't want to kill his stepfather. In the movie Corey only kills people who have been mean and disrespectful to him and Allison, and sometimes get in his way. Ronald and Allison are the 2 people who supported Corey the most, and therefore probably the only 2 people he wouldn't want to kill.
@@purpleguymaxence3722 I could see that as well, makes sense as why he didn't outright attack him. However with what's shown to Ronald here unfortunately, I think my theory could also come into play as well.
@@purpleguymaxence3722 yeah no Corey hates his father(step father?) at this point. He killed his mom because she babied him and failed him as a parent. The dad did nothing to defend Corey and he is a part of the problem for that, at least in Corey's eyes he is.
@@Killshred256 no you are wrong, when everyone accused him of being a murderer, his stepfather was there to support him, give him a job and even give him a motorbike
@@purpleguymaxence3722 yeah I know that but your not listening. I said in Corey’s eyes his step father is apart of the problem. In Corey’s eyes he failed him. I know Ronald supported him but Corey doesn’t care. His mom babied him and Ronald let her get away with it. Corey is evil and chooses to hate his father despite what he has done for him.

This is the only Halloween movie where it seemed that the killings were for a reason and not indiscriminate. Even the cop and the nurse that Micheal killed were terrible bullies to Cory and Alison. Very refreshing idea for a Halloween film.
The whole concept of Halloween is built upon the nature of “Pure Evil” though and the random, senseless murders are what help drive this home. Michael was originally meant to be a perfect storm that hit Haddonfield the night he murdered his sister and then again the night he escaped. The indiscriminate killings is meant to show that noone is safe.
100%
I liked the direction they took this movie in! Don't get the hate! This had an 80's feel to it. Had this been the sequel to 'Halloween 1978' - in the 1980's this movie would have been a HUGE HIT!
How many times are we going to see the same ole cliche Michael Myers movie? Comes back from the dead, wreaks havoc in Haddonfield, someone kills him temporarily, the end.
I loved that he had an accomplice in this movie, the fact they made Myers seem more "human" then in the past movies we loved. Some hated that Corey got the upper hand on Michael in the sewer but again it goes back to Myers being a psychotic mentally ill person who doesn't feel pain like others, etc. Also he's in his 60's in these 3 later Halloween movies too! Strength does deteriorate as we age and he was wrestling a mentally ill young man who's angry, violent and wants to be like Myers. 🔪🎃
7/10!
I think the only person I actually feel sorry for was the junkyard worker.
You're wrong rob zombie Halloween, Michael killed his school bully

Alot of people hate Ends, but after seeing this scene in theaters with surround sound I'm convinced I saw a different movie from everyone else. The whole sequence is probably my favorite thing to come out of the new trilogy, the blowtorch to the lips in particular is VERY Carpenter.
I felt the same way with nearly the entire movie
Misunderstood film.......David Gordon Green said himself "this movie is going too piss people off ". It was about ending copycat games. Michael Myers being the foundation of that. So he kills Cory. Then Laurie Strode......the main victim has too kill Michael. Speaking of Myers. He was weak due too being 65 years old and off NUTRITION and still injured from KILLS.
Ends uh, had its moments. It was still a messed-up romance between Laurie's granddaughter (who I don't even wanna bother remembering her name) and a weird guy transforming into a killer. This was one of the only scenes I liked, but it could've had a different approach. Instead of Corey attacking Michael for his mask, he could've broken his scarecrow mask on purpose so he can go last-minute-shopping for a Captain Kirk mask and make his own "Shape" mask. Then, when he starts going on his killing rampage, Michael quietly follows him to see how well he does on his own. When Corey fails to kill Laurie, that gives Michael a reason to kill him.
I do like that movie

I don't hate how much people hate on Corey. But during this scene, I could feel Michael's presence. Even though it's not actually Michael, it sure felt like it. The way Corey moved and killed was just like that of Michael. And if you showed this scene to a new Halloween fan, they probably would have no idea that it's not the real Michael Myers.

That's not what happened. Corey was really hurting for killing Jeremy. It was the citizens of Haddonfield who chained him to that event, mistreated him, and saw only the worst in him, preventing him from moving on with his life and putting that tragedy behind him. And they mistreated him so much that they eventually made him want to be the monster they thought he was. In fact, what Joker said to Batman applies here, that people are only as good as the world allows them to be.
I don’t think Corey would have killed the dude who gave him the motorcycle cause he has been kind to him and Corey took the mask off to reveal himself to him so I won’t think he would have killed him.

Something I'm sure true horror movie fans would appreciate. This recent Halloween that passed, I was out with the boy, as he collected his candy. The night was just perfect, horror movie picture perfect, that is.
Dark, poorly lit streets, with a heavy fog. My son had just finished collecting candy, when I look to my left, and see none other than Mr. Michael Myers himself, walking alone, slow, knife in hand, gaze directly towards me and my son, uninterrupted.
Honestly, my heart just skipped a beat. His look, his height, his build, his walk, HIS STARE, it was all PERFECT. After finding my composure again, I had the biggest smile on my face. This scene reminds me of John Carpenter’s Christine.
I just love this kill streak in Halloween
I think Corey was better than Michael Myers in Halloween ends. that scene is 👌 pretty good (Corey is my favourite villain and michael myers)
So this murder scene. I'll say the music reflects Corey Cunningham. Michael Myers murders indiscriminately for the sake of killing while Corey Cunningham goes after those who wronged him all in a vengeful murder spree lashing out against the town that made him a monster.
This all started on Halloween 2022 morning where he went to the sewers and stole Michael Myers' mask after a lengthy struggle. That evening, he went to the gas station, carved the word "Psycho" on the hood of Terry's father's car and stuck around long enough to give them a knowing smirk before riding off which enticed the 4 to give chase. Leading them to the junkyard, he locked the gate and himself leaving his motorcycle out in the open for Terry and his friends to find. As he got the idea to destroy it through dragging it around after finding a chain, he gave Billy the keys to move the car which is where Corey struck.
As Terry went to check on him upon realizing that the car was not moving, he finds Billy dead with one of his drumsticks in his eyes. Immediately after, Corey starts up a pickup truck and drives at a fleeing Margo and Stacy pinning the former under the fence and emerging out the truck with a wrench to bludgeon the latter to death as she tried to help her friend out. As his uncle comes along and tries to help Margo out, Corey appears and Terry lines up a shot as he puts on the mask. With his uncle getting in the way, he gets shot by accident and as Terry comes up to see the scene, Corey appears again, hits him down with his double-barreled gun, and starts up a blowtorch aiming it into his mouth. Afterward, Corey walks up to Margo and stomps her head in before climbing back into the pickup truck and running over her corpse as he drove off.
Looking at their reactions when Corey was thrown over the bridge said a lot about who they are. Margo was of course utterly horrified by what was done while Stacy expressed both shock and horror. Terry seemed to feel shocked, guilty, and remorseful and loudly denied what he did so he didn't have to think about it while Billy clearly could not care less if Corey was dead judging by his emotionless reaction. They were bad and had some sort of retaliation coming but murdering them was extreme.
I love how you tried to provide reasoning for this. Its a Halloween movie (albeit a garbage one), just sit back and enjoy the good and bad kills. Whether they deserved it or not didn't matter.
@@MrDCHun I know. I know. That last part doesn't change that they're dead. It doesn't change that I want more than pointless deaths in slashers.
