@ramin47rs been back to the dealership many times. They have changed the ABS core/block and the display. Also had 2-3 checks on the electronics on the bike. It looks like the problem I solved now👏
Im lucky not any problem with mine yet, usually im the one always gets these issues. I really hope it gets resolved for you. I really feel your ”pain”…
Someone said this as well, about the traction control, make sure you hold the buton wright,.... Not easy until you are used to the procedure. I never turn it off anyway because it is permisive enough for me. Good luck!
I have no problem with this before. Could easy turn this off/on. After I got it back it’s suddenly not so easy😁 bike is going back on Friday. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻
It works on mine. I did the following, hold the button as it says, HERE IS THE MAGIC TRICK - when you close the throttle - grab the throttle and actually roll it forward and hold it there until is says "release button". That should do it. Make take a few tries to get the hang of it. Same with the reset of the service light and mileage which takes a few tries to get that to work too. Good luck, let me know if it works for you.
Getting the bike back from the workshop next week. They have changed the ABS core and tested the bike for som km. It looks like the problems are solved. They will contact me on Monday.
Someone already mentioned this in the comments, you must keep holding the left button when releasing the throttle. Only when you get a message that TC is off then you can release the left button.Test this while the bike is stationary. From the video it looks like you dont hold the left button long enough, this could be an user error!
I ended up solving my Norden 901's issues entirely withing about 1 hour. That's how long it took to complete the purchase of my T7. 🤣 Joking aside...I'm quite sorry to hear about your troubles.
Trust me, I went through similar things as you. Every time the bike comes back, it will still have problem - I guarantee you. Why bother and get stressed, and spend 20k on top of that. Life is too short to be stressed about things that you spend money on. I got rid of 890, and found a solution - it’s called Honda Africa Twin.
Hi, can really understand your frustration. I have also had some problems with the cruise control. It turns on but does not work, the engine light comes on but the machine runs. Drive for a while then ignition off still no cruise control and check engine light on. Then I set it up in the workshop for a day starts to check if the engine light is still on but lo and behold it goes off and the cruise control works again. KTM/Husqvarna should probably recall all the bikes and replace the electronics on them. I will probably replace mine and find a Triumph Tiger again, it was expensive but at least jointed or it will be a Japanese bike. Waiting for the Honda Transalp Rally
The Norder is a beautyfull bike. So sad of its problems. My KTM 390 adventure was a very troubled bike as well. Forkseals were moist sinds the first mile. 6th gear broke after 600 miles. The steering lock broke. And its first small service (600mls) took over 5 hours an costs me €360.
I have a 700ES Gas Gas and I hate the freaking method for turning off the traction control. I heard though you can shim out the wheel speed sensor and it will deactivate the traction control and the rear abs. I know that's not what you want to hear but I bet it could be done on your bike.
Spurs fans are used to failed expectations but these multiple faults are beyond disappointing, this Husqvarna needs replacing. "Even a broken watch tells the correct time twice a day" and your bike is 'perfect' for half of the year - unfortunately that seems to be during the winter, sat in the totenham compound in Norway! Best of luck getting a resolution soon.
Going on for to long this problem and now I have to go back to my Husqvarna dealership on Friday for the 5th time! The staff has been great and they really are trying to resolve this problem. Think someone from Husqvarna HQ in Sweden will come and have look at it. Cross fingers&toes.
I say this with no joy but….. I’ll never buy anything under the KTM umbrella. Makes me sad because for a short period I was romancing the thought of buying a Norden expedition. Such a beauty but like most “lady’s” that are attractive, they are completely untrustworthy 😂 Japanese seems to be the only option. I’ve been eyeing the transalp for awhile now. Rumor is, a “R” version is in the works 🤞
As a long time KTM Owner (640 LC4, 300 EXC and 950 Adventure) i was pretty sure i was going to get a 890 Adventure R as a Replacement for my 950 Adventure (2003, 80k). I heard about the reliability issues but was about to give it a try. Went to a local dealer and the 890 broke down 5km into the test ride. Bought a T7 World Raid and im increadibly lucky with it. Japanese is the way nowadays. Hopefully KTM can turn the ship around and reestablish themselfs
I remember (need a new tire before I can ride and confirm) the button needs to be pressed quite a while before it brings the release message. And also that during riding it didn’t want to go in and exited the toggle screen cause the conditions (hold button & closed throttle where not met for the desired time) which is similar to cancel. So my guess either your inputs or sth wrong with the inputs (eg wiring or left control block)
They're nothing like a KTM/Husqvarna. They're under powered, so I would need two bikes instead of one. Oh no, I need two bikes anyway, because the first is a KTM, therefore I have a Jap bike as backup - it's a 1988 Honda Dominator that's never missed a beat. It's great fun, but nothing like the KTM.
Try fitting a lithium battery. Someone said they help with the electronics. I've had one since I got the bike, and have never had problems. I admitt, it sounds pretty unlikely, but worth a try if you can borrow such a battery. Maybe pull the ABS fuse? And remove the rear ABS sensor for off-road rides.
I had two Honda crf1100l , two electronic nightmares. Sorry, back to my old F800GSA. Les power but o so reliable. All this electronic crap these days... the Honda dash flipped for 50%... not so funny
Hi ,my bike is the same. Maybe it's not a problem. I've got 901 expedition 2024 .
Now, what I've got is immobiliser sighn on my dashboard 😬 new bike
Same as my new expedition one, what did you do?

Sorry for the ongoing bike issues. i feel the problem is tbe overcomplexity of motorcycles these days. It has become ridiculous.
I agree with you on that. My bike is now at my dealership. They can keep it until the problem is 100% fixed.

Hope so too, brother! Good luck (I still have my Norden btw…amazing motorbike!)
@Moto_on_the_Marble Thanks. Looking forward to have it back in my garage.
Put it in RALLY mode and set TC to 1 - same as off -- you good to go

Frustrating mate. Mine is in the workshop for the 5th time now😳
Ok, please keep us informed. I will take mine in for 15000 km service on Thursday this week so we will see if there are some issues or code left
@Stigvisir I will. The bike is in the workshop now. Getting it back in 14 days.

I got some thinking to do this winter…
I was new bike shopping had 3 bikes on my list KTM890R NORTON 901 and Triumph tiger 900 Rally pro, I love my Tiger and happy with my decision
I really like the Norden and hope they will fix it once and for all.
You can always buy yourself a T7 ;-) But sad that they can't get your norden in order .
My brother says the same mate😁
@@simpleguyon2wheels1975 I thought so 😅

Husqvarna will get a new chance to fix this. This will be the 5th time🤪
You have to hold down the button for it to turn off the MTC. You should get Explorer mode and not mess with MTC anyway.

@@leon81061 I hope so too, KTM has great concepts but prioritize profit over execution. Toyota in the USA is headed down the same path.
