I want to loudly say that I'm NOT quitting streaming, and any clickbait articles that try to say that should be shunned 😠 + I want to thank Twitch for being my home for so many years 💜 I'm simply looking forward to exploring more avenues of content creation, while still visiting "home" frequently 🙂

I think this is because a lot of early streamers from 2010's are getting tired rn, and considering that streaming getting harder/more competitive every year i would expect the space to be divided in 3 parts: relatively new competitive streamers, the ones who don't wanna stream every day for 8 hours and choose quality over quantity, and the ones who have big enough viewer base to don't have to stream often and will be able to earn a lot just from merch and sponsors, many of them will likely do the brand-based side business.

Not to minimize your experience, but do you feel that's a larger systemic thing? Everyone in many ways is often/always performing in their jobs. Burnout feels like a pervasive societal issue, especially if you are struggling to make ends meet. Not to say streaming is not a challenging job in its own way, it's just your comment about "missing out on things in the real world" is a fair assessment for a lot of young people in our society. The mass amount of attention and criticism that streamers do face is totally fair and valid. But also we all, in a different scale, are also judged and feel like we need to meet certain expectations

I've been thinking about starting streaming and I've been really trying to learn what kind of content I should do. If I were you Poki & anyone else who wants to stream, do more games and content that you want to do! Sure, it's nice to do fun new games that will get views but it's also good to do content that you like, so it doesn't wear you out as much. 💖

I'm not a streamer or anywhere near in the entertainment space. But I feel this exact same way about work. I'm a business analyst and the work is good but a part of me feels like I don't own my life anymore. Contract obligations and work pressure leave you with no time for yourself at the end of the week. Been thinking about taking my life into my own hands through business or other things that aren't just work, or in this case, streaming.

Loved the breathing analogy, it actually reminded me of all creators of great things whether it be painters, authors, musicians, scientists… the list goes on. Every phase of creation and discovery must be balanced by a period of rest and rejuvenation. Sometimes we are so in the moment that we get stuck. I enjoyed this video and I’m happy for you that you are consciously recharging.

I'm so happy for you Poki and I just wish you the best in everything I'll always be a die heart no matter the decisions, changes, or restrictions you have or make. But I really do feel like this needed to be said because I get the pressure of content creation and streaming daily and consistently doing that just for your viewer's and supporters' appeal but what more people need to understand is that all streamers and content creators are human and they sometimes have issues and breaks for THEIR comfort.😍🥰❤

Kumusta and G'day from Australia and a proud Filipino! Just wanted say I stumbled across this lovely video of yours, I found it touching, educational, motivational, and inspiring! The message your conveying here I find very invaluable and I thank you!
I'm a freelance Illustration Artist based in Australia and I've been on the fence a little to start streaming any videos when I create illustration work but I love to share my work with everyone on different platforms and you run into the highs and lows which is difficult but the best part is we grow from them and use those experiences to grow into something even more greater. I hope you flourish even more now in what you do and love and find your peace.
Be blessed, take care, stay safe, stay healthy, keep happy, and all the very best in life!
    Kind regards,

You've already done the hard work to gain a big fan base so no need to worry about what you decide to do. It's best to prioritize your happiness and do what you want to do, you already went through the stress of doing many streams, following trends and trying to grow as a creator, so no need to feel like you NEED to continue to do those things. Best of luck.

I can't begin to imagine how much effort it takes to talk about all that stuff...as a musician I too recognise the importance of taking a step back to breathe, I've often found myself going so hard at it that I then negatively impact myself and my creativity, taking breaks should be normalised, we all need to do it and see the world around us as well as doing what we enjoy 💜

This really hits home. I hope you find that sweet spot between work and yourself. At the end of the day there is always more time to put out content or do projects. But if you aren't taking care of yourself you will never be able to do any of the other things. So definitely take more mental rest days or weeks etc.

You were the main reason I stuck around on Twitch when I first started watching streams (your days of maining League). You and the community were really awesome and easily the best first experience to twitch. This kept me on the platform and let me meet so many of my friends I have now and this wouldn’t have happened if I didn’t find you. Glad you’ve managed to find a sort of new lease on life and are able to do what you feel is best for you. I think the core of the community will all understand the decision and where you are coming from with it. Really puts things into perspective when you’ve achieved a level of happiness with yourself to not feel the need to chase something for the sake of chasing it. So good job on growing to where you have.
