    Hello from the US. Just bought the DGX 670 and am looking forward to exploring all the possibilities.

    One GREAT feature that is not available in the Kawai ES920 that I also own: the AUX input volume can be adjusted, so you can even drop the volume of the piano itself to zero and just listen to the Aux input sound. This is fabulous for Piano apps like Piano Marvel. In that you send USB signals to your laptop, and the resulting sound, is played on the DGX670 speakers. In fact it has a feature called SoundGate which eliminates interference sounds. Whereas on the ES920 I hear a strong humming noise so I just cannot connect my laptop to the keyboard's speakers; I use an external Bose speaker.

    I read thst this piano can transfer audio via usb cable ( without the need of connection to external audio interface) is that correct? is it possible to make a tutorial about it?

    • @ConsciousKeys
      @ConsciousKeys  3 года назад +1

      Yes that is correct. Simply connect it to a computer via USB and under your audio, the piano will be available to use as an audio interface as both an input and output device

    Great.
    How the audio is being recorded (via USB or any other way)?
    We hear the originally recorded sound, or any post-editing is done?

    • @OnlineMD
      @OnlineMD 3 года назад

      MOST if not all of these videos use Audio out using USB or line out audio. However, the onboard speakers put out fabulous, rich sound with more than adequate volume for a large room. In fact I'm in an apartment building with "quiet time" between 1 and 3 pm, and I don't think I'll play this instrument then! :)

    How can you see chords without backing tracks?" Can we just choose a piano sound and try to work out the chord on our own? For example, if we flat the 3rd in real time we would see it go to a minor chord and then if we sharpen it we would see it go back to a major chord. Is that possible on the 670?

    BiG QUESTION: Thanks for an excellent review of the DGX-670! This is my first modern electronic keyboard. I'm a home piano player / Singer-songwriter. Less of a traveling musician.
    I know how to record myself playing the piano and save my recording. My question is this: After I record myself playing the piano, how can I afterward record myself singing the song with the piano, and then save the combined piano/vocals as a WAV file? I hope that question is clear. I'd like to master and record the piano first, then layer my singing over top of the piano and save them as a single file. I've looked everywhere for instructions on this (including reading the manual :-)

      Yeas I did @@teddydavid2816. I appreciate you following up and asking. It is actually simple when you know how, but to a Noob with no background in electric keyboards, it was harder to figure out than it should have been. The User Manuals aren't very friendly to musicians who are inexperienced with the technology. Thanks again!

    • @ConsciousKeys
      @ConsciousKeys  3 года назад

      It will take external speakers, but because this also acts as a headphone output, it will be a lot more powerful than a standard line out. So just need to be careful you don't blow your speakers

    • @OnlineMD
      @OnlineMD 3 года назад +3

      Pls don't get dismayed by the seemingly low wattage of the speakers. The onboard speakers put out excellent volume and rich sound. Just as good as a Kawai ES920 which costs almost twice as much, with more than double the speaker wattage. I know because I own both now.

    Does anybody know a good alternative to the Yamaha DGX series? Because from what I can tell the DGX series has over 600 different instruments and other portable digital pianos don't offer anywhere near the level of voices? The only thing I can imagine comes close is the Casio PX560 which is no discontinued.
    I'm looking for something like the Yamaha DGX 660/670 but perhaps with better speakers and a better keyboard in terms of the touch.
    Can somebody help?

    I am a solo singer-songwriter who until recently always played acoustic. I have no musical education. I compose, write lyrics, sing and play piano. That's it. Now that you a bit about the person asking the following question...
    I have tried to fool around with some of the other features and have read through the two manuals. Here's my question:
    Who else agrees that the documentation is quite poor? Is in just me being a noob? It is split across two documents that are very similar to each other, but which are organized, paginated, and written very poorly.
    It almost reads like the documents were written to the people who already know digital keyboards.
    I'm not trying to be overly negative or critical here. But I do suspect that the documentation has not had a good look through by a professional documentor instructional design writer for quite some time.
    I will add that I looked only briefly at (I won't name it out of respect) a current Roland that is about as robust, about the same price, plays outstandingly, and has extremely well-written documentation.
    I love you, Yamaha. My accoustics have always been yours. I don't want to leave you know, but I need your help

    Two very good videos on that 670. It seems that many fans experience some difficulties with the registration procedure (passing from memory to bank to playlist) Or maybe it's just me, but I read many ''comments'' about that.
    When you transfer from memory to bank, il appears that the species of the last transfer applie also on the transfer that are already there, destroying them. I'm making a mistake and I don't know what.
    Maybe a little video on that procedure would be very appreciate.
    Many thanks. JP
