He has done a lot of good work . But him and Omar views on lgbt are not Islamic . You can’t hold hand and sing with lgbtq priest’s and try and justify it . In Islam is is a complete sin . And you should stay away from it period . Doesn’t mean you have to hate and attack them . Just make it clean in Islam this is 100 percent prohibited.

I can't say how much peace his barzakh series gave me after my sister passed away last year ....he makes it so simple even for people who are Muslims but have zero knowledge.... his words generate a curiosity and interest to learn more and more ..... may Allah swt bless him with a long healthy life so he keeps spreading his knowledge..... his lectures should be preserved for future generations

This is foolish concept. A public wrong ought to be corrected publicly. Follow the way of how the companions dealt with refutations. Private is dealt with private. If a Muslim claiming to be a scholar has erred it is our duty to refute publicly based on evidence. Perhaps be open minded about refutation. Scholars are not Prophets or rightly guided companions so Muslims need to stop treating scholars like Angels

The First Time i heard about Shaikh was from his critics who warned People to watch his Videos. But this made me very curios and i wanted to have my own Opinion, so i watched some of his Videos. And when i watched his videos , i Realized very quickly that no one of his Critics Is on his Level of Knowledge and intellect. There Are Not many People in this World which have so much Knowledge than Shaikh YQ. And i Never Saw someone who Teaches and preaches in such a Detail as shaikh is doing it. Thanks To Allah that we have shaikh YQ from whom we Are all Benefiting so much. Especially we Non-Arabs Are gaining so much Knowledge from Schaikh , which we Probably could never gain on our own Research. Your critics are just Waiting for any Sentence or Mistake they can misinterprete and make Videos about you. But no one of Them Is on your Level schaikh. YQ is becoming NORMAL and thats what bothers the HARDLINE “saliffiyyah”, who think they are the ONLY ones on the Haqq (and the only ones who derive their beliefs off the Quran and Sunnah 🤦♂️) - read Ghazalis “Faysal al-tafriqa..” he said this would happen - and yes, he was talking of aspects about it at his time, but he talked of the dangers of it and calling everything shirk, equating any haram bidah as shirk, and calling mass blanket takfir - and said it would get worst and worst.
I definitely feel like this video was nessasary to clear up recent and even years old 'criticism' for Sheikh YQ. May Allah bless Sheikh he has benefited the ummah so much in so many ways with his lectures and different series.

I highly appreciate this video. I still disagree with Yasir Qadhi on some important issues related to society and politics, but I am confident enough to learn Islam from him what I really enjoy.

I am disappointed with the stance of YQ. No one claimed that you or any Sheikh said that same-sex marriage is allowed in Islam. The real problem is what you said in this video and on other occasions that it is not wrong to cooperate with lgbtq+ politically " for good cause". We all know that in politics, there is no such thing as free dinner. So what is the price that we will pay for this cooperation? The answer is simple, look at the position of Ilhan Omar and think again if it is worth it. Is this position going to please Allah? We are obliged to refuse evil deeds and not help them to become normal, accepted and celebrated. Even if we are not capable of stopping them, then the least we can do is to isolate ourselves from them and their agenda.
It must be so tiresome to have to constantly defend oneself like he has to. I feel for him. It must hurt him a lot. All these he has clarified before. Yet, these claims are still around to haunt him. I know he may never read this comment, but he has single handedly made me a better Muslim. And I hope he knows that that alone is far greater than all those people that refute him. You have to be mature, sincere, and good muslim to understand the Hikma of this Sheikh. If the critic are in ego that what they follow is the only black and white truth, may Allah grant them maturity and hikma, or stop them from spreading fitna and disregarding great work done by Dr. Qadhi.

@@nazeervalli2047 That's why I fell in love with YQ, his logic is sound, he's always careful with terminology and definitions, and he's cognisant about consistency and coherency when dealing with fatwas and modern issues. I miss this level of academic analysis in the mainstream islamic websites and videos, as I grew up with finding all my answers to islamic questions on sites like IslamQA, and I wish I YQ's videos were available when I was a teenager. But Alhamdulillah, better late than never. I'm trying to collect his answers and statements from his videos and am intending on making a website like IslamQA so that people can easily find islamic answers to modern issues in the west :)

What an absolutely fantastic conversation! When One Shaykh condemns another Shaykh, on a religiously ambiguous topic, I personally look for two things:- 1- Which Shaykh has made the most contribution to the Ummah in terms of knowledge. 2- Which Shaykh is surrounded by other shuyookh and Imams, collaborates with them, and is part of masajid & institutes, as opposed to being a "lone wolf Shaykh", who doesn't work with anyone or any institution or masjid, only present online... It's not a perfect assessment, but it helps give me a quick idea on the authenticity of the Shaykhs.
Alhamdulillah. This person (Dr. Qadhi), I consider him as My Teacher. Though I'm from Bangladesh and never visited USA and in any ways i have never met him either. But the lessons I've learned from his different series like Seerah, Barzakh, end of times, his sahaba series and countless lectures on many many many issues that's enormous. If I search "Yasir qadhi" in youtube there are lots of vdos for refutations to him... Why I don’t see it? Because It's also his teachings that to avoid other's criticism and focus on your actions for which You'll be rewarded or punished. May Allah give him the best reward in this world & hereafter for his teachings.
Now that YQ has cleared the issues that people thrown at him, it is up to those who falsely accuse him to say sorry because wallahi, you have misunderstood a good shaykh of this Ummah.
Sheikh is a forward thinking man who derives fiqh from within the tradition. The so called juvenile internet trolls refutes are simply not educated or knowledgable enough to understand his points of view. Sheikn is courageous enough to speak about difficult issues concerning Muslims publicly - issues that many scholars avoid or simply not equipt to speak about. It's a shame he even has to clarify himself. The modern pseudo salafi movement is only a minute faction of this Ummah but sadly they do have a very strong online presence. I find comfort with Dr. Yasers Qady opinions and lectures.. it makes Islam so easy like what the quran says. For me islam is so easy only the interpretation of some scholars are making it dificult.and its not the knowledge that makes islam easy religion its the interpretation and clear explanation.

The benefit I get the knowledge of Shiek Yasir Qadhi is what made me to be a better Muslim and Allah is my witness. May Allah swt reward you. To those who Criticize YQ never gave us any knowledge but they know only how to refute to those who are superior than them. May Allah guide them and forgive them. We don’t need to follow shieks. We need to follow our Quran and the sunah of prophet Muhammad csw. Didn’t sahaba fight each other after Osman’s death R.A. People have different point of view but the Quran and sunah is a must and that’s but I learned sheik YQ.
I listen to Dr YQ almost every day. Although I do not agree with everything but I have learnt so much from him. I see him as a teacher of mine and love him for the sake of Allah.

I find it strange people misunderstand or misinterprets what Dr Yasir Qadhi says. I've learned sooo much from him. Ive come across a few people who claimed he is misguided or what-not and it always shocks me that they can even think that. The only fault I can find in Dr Yasir Qadhi is sometimes he teaches too advanced information so people who haven't educated themselves about Islam (say they only know what they know because they were born Muslim but never actually learned anything for themselves) are shocked at the different opinions and theological and historical teachings of Dr Yasir Qadhi. I highly appreciate everything he teaches.
Interesting interview, but it would have been good to see the interviewer challenging Sh. YQ a bit more and pushing back on some of his responses, instead of just agreeing and even helping him with additional arguments.

Have they opened his chest and have certainity of YQ teaching/promoting Kufr or saying things that makes other Muslims kafir🤔... Najdi brothers have no morals to teach Yasir Qadhi. I grew up in Somalia in the 80s and I remember my country was a wonderful country despite it's political situation. We had tolerance with each other until the Najdi dawa reached our country. I remember vividly how everything became strict. In a matter of view years, anyone who is not conforming to the new Najdi understanding became Kafir ..Takfri started, Suufis and other "dariikas" were labeled Kufr.....and the rest is history. That should tell you something about the critics of Sheikh Yasir! I left Somalia long time ago, but I was told one sheikh I use take my hadiith "may Allah have mercy on him", a graduate of Al-Madinah university is now part of the Al-shabab movement. Therefore, people's deeds is what I believe in, not their words. Sheikh Yasir should not entertain their shenanigans and narrow mindedness! May Allah protect my Sheikh, Yasir Qadhi and all the Muslim Ulima!

Good conversation. YQ's position on L G B T is ambiguous because he presents a political position and a theological one. This is a suitable approach for a classroom. He's not a politician and as an imam, this can be conflicting. His position should be as clear as it is on Zina, Riba etc.
He was pretty clear on his stance, imo. Theologically, LGBTQ+ acts are haraam, and so is zina, riba, etc. But politically, are we allowed to support someone who is pro zina and pro riba, but they have some good quality that is beneficial for the muslim community as long as we focus on that good thing and don't get involved in the haraam stuff they support? Because otherwise, you're never going to find anyone politically who doesn't support at least 1 major haraam thing. That's why YQ said that politically he would support figures that do promote haraam stuff, but they also promote halal things that are good for the ummah, and the benefits of the halal things outweight the haraam things. If a politician is fighting for muslim rights, but they're also fighting for the right for everyone to have intimacy whether in marriage or outside of marriage or wear whatever clothes they want publicly, should we support such a figure? If it means it helps the ummah get more rights and less discrimination, then YQ argues that we should.

A Dayee (Preacher) is going to invite towards Allah Azza Wa Jal *All Ulema are human beings *One of the problems we are facing in our times is, people who don't have Ilm (capacity to understand / interpret Heavenly Knowldge) have taken on the responsibility to find the mistakes of people who have Ilm (Heavenly Knowledge), and they spread their concept among other people who don't have Ilm.

I really felt the Sheikh should be challenged a bit more on topics like calling upon the dead and his responses probed a bit more . If all of us had our wrong views and deeds and things we’ve moved on from publicized, we would have a very drastic and dramatic reaction than this.. We need to clarify that we don’t budge on the LGBT issue and not try to be political about it honestly but put yourself in his shoes for a moment.. Maashaa Allah. Dr. Yasir is one of the greatest Uluma who devoted to uphold the most sacred Deen in Islam. Even, prophet Mohamed had critics in his lifetime from his close relatives. Al-A'raf 7:81 إِنَّكُمْ لَتَأْتُونَ ٱلرِّجَالَ شَهْوَةً مِّن دُونِ ٱلنِّسَآءِۚ بَلْ أَنتُمْ قَوْمٌ مُّسْرِفُونَ Indeed, you approach men with desire, instead of women. Rather, you are a transgressing people."

This is foolish concept. A public wrong ought to be corrected publicly. Follow the way of how the companions dealt with refutations. Private is dealt with private. If a Muslim claiming to be a scholar has erred it is our duty to refute publicly based on evidence.

The First Time i heard about Shaikh was from his critics who warned People to watch his Videos. But this made me very curios and i wanted to have my own Opinion, so i watched some of his Videos. And when i watched his videos , i Realized very quickly that no one of his Critics Is on his Level of Knowledge and intellect. There Are Not many People in this World which have so much Knowledge than Shaikh YQ. And i Never Saw someone who Teaches and preaches in such a Detail as shaikh is doing it. Thanks To Allah that we have shaikh YQ from whom we Are all Benefiting so much. Especially we Non-Arabs Are gaining so much Knowledge from Schaikh , which we Probably could never gain on our own Research.

I am disappointed with the stance of YQ. No one claimed that you or any Sheikh said that same-sex marriage is allowed in Islam. The real problem is what you said in this video and on other occasions that it is not wrong to cooperate with lgbtq+ politically " for good cause". We all know that in politics, there is no such thing as free dinner. So what is the price that we will pay for this cooperation? The answer is simple, look at the position of Ilhan Omar and think again if it is worth it. Is this position going to please Allah? We are obliged to refuse evil deeds and not help them to become normal, accepted and celebrated. Even if we are not capable of stopping them, then the least we can do is to isolate ourselves from them and their agenda.
It must be so tiresome to have to constantly defend oneself like he has to. I feel for him. It must hurt him a lot. All these he has clarified before. Yet, these claims are still around to haunt him. I know he may never read this comment, but he has single handedly made me a better Muslim. And I hope he knows that that alone is far greater than all those people that refute him. And I pray that Allah rewards him in multitude.

I miss this level of academic analysis in the mainstream islamic websites and videos, as I grew up with finding all my answers to islamic questions on sites like IslamQA, and I wish I YQ's videos were available when I was a teenager. But Alhamdulillah, better late than never. I'm trying to collect his answers and statements from his videos and am intending on making a website like IslamQA so that people can easily find islamic answers to modern issues in the west :)

His PhD is literally on Ibn Taymiyyah’s writings. And he’s also dedicating his entire life to learning Islam exactly like what Ibn Taymiyyah did. So calm down, it’s highly and definitely possible that Sheikg Dr. Yasir Qadhi would be as famous and reputable as Ibn Taymiyyah, Alghazali and the like

When One Shaykh condemns another Shaykh, on a religiously ambiguous topic, I personally look for two things:-
1- Which Shaykh has made the most contribution to the Ummah in terms of knowledge.
2- Which Shaykh is surrounded by other shuyookh and Imams, collaborates with them, and is part of masajid & institutes, as opposed to being a "lone wolf Shaykh", who doesn't work with anyone or any institution or masjid, only present online...
It's not a perfect assessment, but it helps give me a quick idea on the authenticity of the Shaykhs.
Also its not even people of knowledge that said anything against sh YQ, its random popularizes and their Ilk...
Yasir Qadhi has single handedly given the best and detailed description of the Prophet's life (pbuh). So much to learn!
Alhamdulillah. This person (Dr. Qadhi), I consider him as My Teacher. Though I'm from Bangladesh and never visited USA and in any ways i have never met him either. But the lessons I've learned from his different series like Seerah, Barzakh, end of times, his sahaba series and countless lectures on many many many issues that's enormous. If I search "Yasir qadhi" in youtube there are lots of vdos for refutations to him... Why I don’t see it? Because It's also his teachings that to avoid other's criticism and focus on your actions for which You'll be rewarded or punished. May Allah give him the best reward in this world & hereafter for his teachings.
Now that YQ has cleared the issues that people thrown at him, it is up to those who falsely accuse him to say sorry because wallahi, you have misunderstood a good shaykh of this Ummah.
Sheikh is a forward thinking man who derives fiqh from within the tradition. The so called juvenile internet trolls refutes are simply not educated or knowledgable enough to understand his points of view. Sheikn is courageous enough to speak about difficult issues concerning Muslims publicly - issues that many scholars avoid or simply not equipt to speak about. It's a shame he even has to clarify himself. The modern pseudo salafi movement is only a minute faction of this Ummah but sadly they do have a very strong online presence. I find it strange people misunderstand or misinterprets what Dr Yasir Qadhi says. I've learned sooo much from him. Ive come across a few people who claimed he is misguided or what-not and it always shocks me that they can even think that. The only fault I can find in Dr Yasir Qadhi is sometimes he teaches too advanced information so people who haven't educated themselves about Islam (say they only know what they know because they were born Muslim but never actually learned anything for themselves) are shocked at the different opinions and theological and historical teachings of Dr Yasir Qadhi. I highly appreciate everything he teaches.
Interesting interview, but it would have been good to see the interviewer challenging Sh. YQ a bit more and pushing back on some of his responses, instead of just agreeing and even helping him with additional arguments.

Najdi brothers have no morals to teach Yasir Qadhi.
I grew up in Somalia in the 80s and I remember my country was a wonderful country despite it's political situation. We had tolerance with each other until the Najdi dawa reached our country. I remember vividly how everything became strict. In a matter of view years, anyone who is not conforming to the new Najdi understanding became Kafir ..Takfri started, Suufis and other "dariikas" were labeled Kufr.....and the rest is history. That should tell you something about the critics of Sheikh Yasir!
I left Somalia long time ago, but I was told one sheikh I use take my hadiith "may Allah have mercy on him", a graduate of Al-Madinah university is now part of the Al-shabab movement.
Therefore, people's deeds is what I believe in, not their words.

Good conversation. YQ's position on L G B T is ambiguous because he presents a political position and a theological one. This is a suitable approach for a classroom. He's not a politician and as an imam, this can be conflicting. His position should be as clear as it is on Zina, Riba etc.
He was pretty clear on his stance, imo. Theologically, LGBTQ+ acts are haraam, and so is zina, riba, etc. But politically, are we allowed to support someone who is pro zina and pro riba, but they have some good quality that is beneficial for the muslim community as long as we focus on that good thing and don't get involved in the haraam stuff they support? Because otherwise, you're never going to find anyone politically who doesn't support at least 1 major haraam thing. That's why YQ said that politically he would support figures that do promote haraam stuff, but they also promote halal things that are good for the ummah, and the benefits of the halal things outweight the haraam things. If a politician is fighting for muslim rights, but they're also fighting for the right for everyone to have intimacy whether in marriage or outside of marriage or wear whatever clothes they want publicly, should we support such a figure? If it means it helps the ummah get more rights and less discrimination, then YQ argues that we should.

* Ilm (Heavenly Knowledge) is recognized by the scholars of Ilm (Heavenly Knowledge)
* A person of knowledge understands that opinions change over time. there is no alim who has not changed and evolved over time.
*We are allowed to disagree, and respect the person at the same time.
*Question:: Can a Dayee (Preacher) talk about Aqeedah (Creed)? ; Answer:: So what is he going to give dawah about. A Dayee (Preacher) is going to invite towards Allah Azza Wa Jal
*All Ulema are human beings
*One of the problems we are facing in our times is, people who don't have Ilm (capacity to understand / interpret Heavenly Knowldge) have taken on the responsibility to find the mistakes of people who have Ilm (Heavenly Knowledge), and they spread their concept among other people who don't have Ilm.
*The interviewing sheikh should not be saying, "one of the criticisms", but one of their criticisms, as such criticisms are not shared by everyone, neither are they divine revelation but simple rants and raves of individuals who are jealous of Dr. Sheikh Yasir Qadhi's popularity.*

Some of these questions were needed to be asked but it would be great to have a face to face with Daniel H or Adnan Rashid . I really felt the Sheikh should be challenged a bit more on topics like calling upon the dead and his responses probed a bit more . But al in all I love Sheikh YQ and he is a great blessing for his Ummah

If all of us had our wrong views and deeds and things we’ve moved on from publicized, we would have a very drastic and dramatic reaction than this.. We need to clarify that we don’t budge on the LGBT issue and not try to be political about it honestly but put yourself in his shoes for a moment.. He’s done a lot of good and he’s trying to do more in the way he thinks is best. And it’s not easy to live in the US as a Muslim anyway. We must not dismiss all the good works he’s done.. People are so quick to condemn others
Maashaa Allah. Dr. Yasir is one of the greatest Uluma who devoted
to uphold the most sacred Deen in Islam. Even, prophet Mohamed had critics in his lifetime from his close relatives. Yes, I agree with you Dr. Yasir that Humans seek one context out of thousands of contexts that are favored of his/their interest.
Dr. Yasir, you are doing great and Muslim people need someone like you who is very knowledgeable and well-educated.

I found it ironic people saying YQ is falsehood when he never undermine other scholars and have good akhlaq meanwhile those who call themselves salafi (like the madkhalis) keep talking crap about others and believe they are the righteous people being deluded by their own ego 😕

Y'know, this is a lot like imaan. It goes up and it goes down, and even though we know and have heard all those reminders thousands of times, sometimes a small, personal and straightforward miracle/answer from Allah is always needed every now and then to strengthen our imaan and keep us firm in deem, for we are frail human beings with weaknesses. This video only affirms that what you've been preaching is indeed backed by sound sources and that people have been misrepresenting your views. JazakAllah khair!
