@@Gutslinger I would say season 1 is the weakest. It's still great, don't get me wrong. But the show reaches such heights later on that it makes this season look amateurish. At one point 4 out of 10 of the top tv episodes of all time on IMDB were from season 3 of this show.

One thing to answer *spoiler free* the author told in an interview that he had this experience of being on a travel and encountering a drunk man yelling at him. Due to the language barrier he could not calm him down. This mix of seeing someone so familiar yet so strange in a way aparently served as an inspiration for the Titans design.
And THAT'S how a truly great author takes inspiration from reality. He inspired me for my own works and how I see the world itself as inspiration for storytelling.
This show is a masterpiece. This show, arguably, can be given credit for massively increasing anime popularity on a global scale. The music, script, characters, and story are all absolutely worth the experience of watching and following. Be prepared, this show is one hell of a ride. It is without-a-doubt worth the time. Studio Mappa (the animation studio) outdid themselves, as well. I stumbled upon this channel on accident and will immediately subscribe to watch this with you! I started watching this show when I was 8 years old back in 2013. I’m 19 years old in college now. Attack on Titan is a huge part of my life. I met my bestfriend because of this show. I met the creator of the series last year. I love seeing other ppl experience part of my childhood.

@@RAHUL37976 Mid thanks to the amazing animation and score of the anime. Without that, I think it's straight up bad. The character work is non-existent and cliche, the world-building is awful, the plot is as basic as it gets and the power-ups are bullshit. The anime made the manga a great service.

Welcome to the show, this is THE show, you arrived weeks after the series finally ended, however the vast majority of us are very keen to not spoil this show, there are moments that we live to RE-LIVE, watching someone else see for the first time is important. I will say that dub is actually fine, but most of the anime community will fucking tear you to shreds, the dub does something nice: the sounds the "story-titans" make is not just a guy yelling, its a lot more haunting, just consider that, but either is fine.

Can't believe it's almost 10 years since I've watched season 1. I was so sad back then for having to wait for season 2. That's how good I felt the show was. Truly a masterpiece

I can see that Haylo enjoy it a bit more, but Kiss was kind of thinking "Oh my God! Will this be the mood of this entire series?" LOL! I could see Kiss suffering in her expression.

This story is a work of epic fantasy, but at the same time it is a truth about the real world in which we live and humanity itself, and it is also a question for us.
This isn't just flashy action, or terrifying horror, or a simple battle between good and evil. Please watch till the end.

Okay, so yes I am way late to the party, but I found you guys when searching for reactions on Haunting of Hill House(I've watched a few different channels' reactions to that show) and yours is definitely my favorite. Your genuine empathy is just so plain for everyone to see. I'm the same way.
When I saw that you guys had been watching Attack on Titan, I immediately saved the whole playlist because I knew what you guys were in for, emotionally, and I had to see it.
Also, I love that you pause and take notes on the info screens. I always paused to read them, too.

Welcome to the show, this is THE show, you arrived weeks after the series finally ended, however the vast majority of us are very keen to not spoil this show, there are moments that we live to RE-LIVE, watching someone else see for the first time is important. I will say that dub is actually fine, but most of the anime community will fucking tear you to shreds, the dub does something nice: the sounds the "story-titans" make is not just a guy yelling, its a lot more haunting, just consider that, but either is fine.
