And for once he actually sounds kinda cool. Not saying Sean Schemmel's a bad VA, but just...I never did like his performance as Black Doom: it sounded too generic...like Goku trying to do an impression of Dr. Claw, ya know? This, meanwhile, actually sounds kinda intimidating. :O
As an aside, apparently Sean Schemmel wanted to reprise his role as Black Doom. Not sure about the particulars of what happened, though...maybe it was a contracting issue? :/
Launching enemies into the air to use them to help you advance in the stage is SICK
This is a concept i wanted for sonic too, a homing kick that send enemies to breakable walls, other enemies or switches to advance to places
Tails' wrench platforms in FH but cooler.
@@atari9477 Sonic does actually have a homing kick in Lost World, but it only works for sending badniks onto other badniks, and it’s to break shields too.
Apparently you can teleport to them afterwards too according to a description

The catch is you have to pre order the game for $60 to play as modern sonic otherwise all you can play as is classic sonic and shadow

It's been 19 years and Shadow finally has a second game coming this year
I like how Shadow can essientally throw multiple chaos spears in a cross formation! The wall climbing when Shadow is Using Doom Morph reminds me of the Green Wisp from Sonic Lost World!

The aesthetics remind me of Purple Frenzy wisp, and Venom, as well as the ground movement.
The wall crawling looks like Pink Spikes wisp
and the rope swinging mechanic is posibly what could've been the gameplay of the avatar's rope swinging if it wasn't automated.
Doom wings is basically the Crimson Eagle Wisp from Sonic Lost world.
Since Rouge is likely not playable in sonic heroes based levels, this is a nescessity.
Doom Surf is completely new to the series...
But I'm sure a manta ray-shaped sentient surfboard isn't new to anyone
who has played the Mantine Surf Minigame from pokemon.

Wait a moment does the addition of chaos island mean that we might get three more levels for the base Sonic Generations levels? Man I hope they bring a Mania level, a good Forces level and Ares Island.
Seems like it. Also, they did actually bring in a level from forces (i think). If you see 0:42 there’s a shot of the forces egg pawn far in front of shadow.

I'm glad they are actually making the doom dna theory canon. However, if they are really going with this theory, Shadow might end up becoming an endgame boss that needs to be stopped because he's no longer a hedgehog. He'll be in his true form resembling his alien roots, and those wings are merely a sample of it.

Glad theyre expanding Shadow to be more unique yet staying true to what Sonic is rather than giving him a friggin gun. Does the Doom stuff make him even more edgelordy? Perhaps, but it almost feels like the creatives are aware and just having fun with it how.
Maybe come the Sonic 3 movie, Shadow will use these Doom powers on screen.

Doom powers make a lot of sense since shadow is literally an alien which had little relevance truthfully aside from the shadow game for the GameCube until they started doing more now with it now. Edgy or not making him more alien in nature helps him stand out
The guns were awesome, and the doom spears seem to function identically to them. Same for the vehicles and Shadow's new wings and surfboard (jet glider/black hawk and hovercraft).
Setting this character up with new moves for the next smash bros.

Yes! The doom dna theory is canon. But if it truly is, then he may not want to use them extensively, for he'll end up becoming less of himself and mutate into his true form, and those wings are a preview of it.

I was 13 when Shadow the Hedgehog was released, now i'm 32 and sure as hell will play this too. Looks really nice so far!
My Guess is You will unlock a New Doom Power for Each Stage or Act, Going in the Order You see in this Trailer With the Doom Spears Being First or The Wings Considering he was in space colony ark when he Unleashed it, And The Doom Surf Will Be Unlocked Before You Fight Neo Metal or Overlord, And I Think Neo Metal Might be the 2nd Major Boss You Fight After the Biolizard. and as It was seen in the first trailer, doom can somehow change the Stage to however he pleases, so It could be multiple Stages in one, seems Wild though. But I Think Space Colony is First which is Where You see Doom, Then After Finishing it, The Time Eater Arrives, Something happens that sends Shadow to the White World, explore the area then that Cutscene from the start happens. Idk, This is still a Day 1 if Not then Day 2 for Me❤️🖤

I enjoy how they're giving him a moveset beyond the Chaos abilities. Yeah the chaos thing is what he's most known for but now he's got more variety, like Sonic.

I think it pretty much fits even with the morph and transforming. People are uses to seeing shadow as hedgehog but him being ultimate lifeform isnt just a petty title.

At 0:54 you can see what appears to be a Forces Death Egg Robot in this. Does this mean Shadow Generations is after Forces, or it's Generations Shadow traveling to the future?
As far as i know:
Shadow's compaign takes place at the same Time as Sonic's
(Generations Shadow travels into the future)
the time eater is part of shadows generations so it is possible the time eater is bringing stages from the future
Just like Crisis City is a stage in the future, so are Sunset Heights and Chaos Island.
That mean we might see infinte. Izuka is going to have a hard time explaining this and why shadow didn't say anything to sonic about the islands

I was expecting the Egg Emperor over Metal Overlord. Biolizard was recovered from the 3DS version, so I was expecting the Egg Emperor would be too. Too bad the Big Arms had no chance no matter how you put it.
They should put each level a boss instead 2 each area
