I just realized this whole new perk system would be an indirect buff to Vantage. Since she can see peoples shield levels before your team engages it'll be less overt than having to shoot someone to know what perks they have
Vantage doesn't have to shoot to know what shields the team has that she is looking at. She can just ADS without a gun and see all shield levels along with how many in the party.

The barrier to enter apex has always been high no doubt about that. The most BR I played you can kill at least 2 people without reloading so there was not that much of a need to rely on your teammates but in this one you can’t kill a single player in one mag if you miss 2 bullets. Death is pretty much guaranteed if 2 people swing at you at once. It took me about 7-800 hours to be semi-decent at this game
New players are always confuse, not just in Apex but in any game, trying to accommodate them is just waste of time. They just need to go through that learning phase
Thank you. What they need to do is just make sure the sweatiest of sweatlords dont end up farming these new players so they have a pleasant learning phase.
Newbies get munched in any fps, that's just the nature of it. Learning guns, maps, mechanics etc is always gonna be a rough and time consuming endeavour.
True but if your game is too confusing there can come a point when you start losing a portion of people who otherwise would stay and maybe even pay for things like the battle pass, so it's in Respawn/EA's best interest to cater to them to some extent.
The devs will definitely have to get SBMM on point for this perk system- to retain new players.

Ok for vantage it’s when you hit a player with a ult bullet. Your tax cooldown refreshes. Meaning you can jump, ult someone, send out echo, jump, ult, and repeat. A good vantage won’t need to touch the ground. Or she can jump, ult, jump to the tagged enemy, and abuse her damage bonus. As a vantage main it Seems very good. Also the additional bullet perk is Insane. 9 ult bullets in a fight is crazy.
Also I think the ballistic perk is that the dart stays stuck for triple time. I think rn it’s 6 sec so 18 sec you have to watch your overheat can actually be spooky.
I think it’s ok. It’s not as strong as her as it is with someone like Bloodhound or Revenant. Most of the time when you’re using ult with Vantage you’re not using your tactical at the same time and repositioning.
@bronzemercy you should though, as that's where her kit really shines. Having high ground when some legends can't simply get there means she has more options to choose when it comes to positioning, something extremely important for snipers. You don't to constantly switch positions after each hit, but not having to wait for a cooldown is really useful.
@@pinkplasticlagbelieve me if you see a vantage 60m out, flying in the sky, She shoots you, jumps and is 10m away drilling you while you have 20% increased damage, I’ll feel oppressive.
@@arctictropic1147agree the fact you can shoot then reposition is gonna be crazy. It almost invalidates the laser weakness on the ult.
I rly think they should narrow the hit box for vantage sniper, it only has to be slightly on target for it to hit which I think it sorta stupid especially with aim assist
Bloodhound's white ravens currently give ~25% ult charge, it could be that this either added as an additional bonus to the existing kit OR it's going to be nerfed, we'll see. If it's an additional bonus, there may be literally no reason I can think of to not be in ult outside of teamfights or ratting.
Scan duration typically means how long you stay scanned by the ability.
11:45 Vantage's purple passive their straight up just removes the cd of the tac if you hit someone with the sniper.
I have been suggesting for a while now ways to buff Lifeline, Mirage, and Seer. And with these perks, they implemented basically every one of my ideas! I'm psyched to try them out.

Honest question, I’m a Crypto main and wouldn’t the perk for saying how many squads are in the area when throwing out the drone make more sense as the first perk to choose? By the time you hit purple shield (i assume) it would be late game and a close ring so I don’t see it getting too much value late game. Idk tho it’s still a positive change so I’ll take it.

Honestly... its weird af that the other scout legends get access to ring consoles but not crypto "the hacker" 😒
They can keep the 10% tac cooldown i want my ring knowledge back. Also bigger emp range also means he has to stand further back or basically emp himself most times. But atleast with these changes he can grief more big team fights for free shields and pretty much obliterate all control legend setups late game
Especially since his upgrades were pretty bad
@@atp1483id have rathered they added something he can do without the drone. If anything the instant drone toss squads call out thing should also be a early choice. Its nice to know, its a good change, but knowing there are 6 squads in the area is kinda moot late game, as you would probably already know that and doesnt change your current situation. Its still "To emp, or not to Emp" at the end of the day
I’m excited for a lot of the changes - especially ranked, and I like the perk idea (though it might end up being needlessly confusing, idk). My main concern regards shield swapping - picking up shields that spawn on the ground is essential to winning in crazy hot drops or if you’re outnumbered. I heard there will be somewhat of a replacement to white shields with like, an EVO boost? But I’m still concerned it’ll make those types of fights go from difficult to just impossible. But we’ll see
I think the shield change is great no more shields on the ground messing up loot pool and everyone has white and only damage or new means to boost shields means no more dying simply from rng where a dude lands on purple and a weapon.
I hope they allow us to pre-set what upgrades we want, so when our shield levels up, it just auto-sets the one we chose ahead of time-- with the option to manually adjust if that one maybe doesn't fit the current circumstances.
I doubt it. It would be too unreadable if you could switch your perks back and forth at any time. It looks like you'll have a one time upgrade for both of the upgrades

Everyone will be picking the “refresh grapple on knock” which is OP but damage resistance on zipline pushes/rotations is crazy too!
What I got from the wording of Ballistic's final perk is that the duration of the missile if it is placed somewhere in the world (floor, wall, etc.) it stays there for triple the time it would normally be there before disappearing.
I think if it was the overheat effect being tripled in duration that would be OP so it can't be that
Im a vantage main what i did is i levels everybodys evoshield to purple always with my ult and a sniper its easy i wonder if thats still possible can i level evoshields for teammates or not?
I hate how some characters get really character specific things, but then they gave horizon "See grenades through walls" like she's fuse. And rev and ash have the same ping enemies after squad wipe
With the leaks I have seen, fuse is the one that gets the perk to see grenades through walls. These leaks may just be wrong but I don't know
The barrier for entry has already been high for awhile now. I know quite a few seasoned gamers who were pushed away by how sweaty the game was while they didn’t know the legends, weapons or maps.
For blood hound it was already 25% from the white ravens smh 🤯

I saw you throw the wrecking ball and then heal, but the developers intended for you to run with the ultimate using the wrecking ball as cover and get up close with your shotgun. I know this has nothing to do with the video and you probably already know this but I couldn't help but notice that. I agree with what you said and hope they don't mess up this Upgrade mechanic and it's a cool concept I think for some legends

I'm excited for the legend upgrades because the game has been out for 5 years and the legends are all boring and stale now. Hopefully this will make the game more fun. And the new players can learn the game just like we all did. I wouldn't want apex to strictly cater to new players. 120fps on console is what I'm most looking forward to, as it's been way overdue.
RE: The skill ceiling
With how absolutely terrible solo-queueing in pubs has been for me the last few seasons, I'm not looking forward to this at all. It's going to be so much worse. It doesn't matter how fun the new perks are - if Respawn doesn't make some effort to fix matchmaking this next season, they lose me. I play a lot, I have 1250 hours total. I'm over lvl 700, and there is no good reason why I should be consistently matched with sub-level 100 players.

one thing that should be noted is they admitted that they sat on these changes for an entire year, but they were ready at the classes redesign. they purposely trickle in changes to soak up money

I hear you. I actually think 3 strikes was fun in the beginning now it feels like you need to 3 stack or else you don’t stand a chance at winning. It’s unfortunate

Mirage and other legends being able to revive and instantly give teammates 75hp and then Gibraltar only being allowed to revive with 50hp… that’s lowkey dog Dookey
I’ve tried to get 9 people to try this game out and they all gave up I can only imagine them trying the game out during the new season
I’m on the fence about whether or not it’ll make things harder for new guys, but it’s definitely made things easier for those of us who have been around for a few seasons.

I don't think it will be so much harder than the current system for new players. It's just our illusion, as we are now very familiar with the old system. Old system already was hard for new players. Also, old replicators are gone, which took me a while as a new player to start using them effectively. It will be okay if SBMM is in place and new or low-skilled players aren't matched with Plats+ or even Gold+.

I wish there was an actual point to play mixtape. With no badges or anything to earn or grind for it’s a big waste of time to play mixtape unless you’re a super casual that just wants to shoot your gun.

I dont think the shield thing will be that big of a deal for new players, imo. As a siege player, for years people said it was “too hard” etc so it wasn’t popular, then jynxzi came around and everyone and their grandma started playing the game.
For the octane tap strafe ability, i really hope they remove tap-strafing for PC players on the pad. It doesn't make sense for a PC player to choose the tap strafe ability, when they can already do it. Plus, they can just pick the other ability and boom its like they have both unlocked. Its not fair to controller players if PC players can literally have both abilities unlocked while controller players have to choose to get an ability that all PC players can already do.
I feel like valks options are kinda bleh, which sucks because she's been kind of bleh for a few seasons now too :(
we want a endgame mode. 10-20 teams final rings rng fully kitted loadouts and fully kitted guns on ground, can YT help it happen?

My only concern with the perks and evo shield changes is that they will benefit better players more. The 'barrier to entry' comment at the start of this is very real. It might attract new players, but will it retain them? Not so sure, but without new players the life of the game gets shorter.
Now we just need a mode without sbmm. Killing off casual players will be the death of Apex.
I think they need to stop catering to players who dont want t9 learn and improve, those players wont stay long term. Make the game fun and interesting with a challenge to it for high skill learning, real, committed players whos genuinely like the game in this manner will stay. This new season is something that has me excited for the future of apex and BR in general. It gives alittle more freedom of how people play but also in ranked make it somewhat more challenging because ypu dont exactly know who your fighting all the time. And actually the new perk system kind of help not so good players have more in their kit

As a maggie main with a little over 10k kills on her this was hard to watch, you basically never use her tac or ult and when you do it's horrible timing for the most part. Not even trying to hate just can't help but notice

I feel like the best way to incorporate the perk system in mixtape is to make the perks become killstreaks. You got three kills in a row. You can get your first perk. If you got five kills in a row you can get your second perk.

This update is the best in apex history and if you think not then you are trash because finally no fake masters this season or people camping with ranged weapons being rewarded for ratting as a team for points in addition to abuse of configs.
I wish they gave back seer the ability to revive cancel and heal cancel as a perk but take out the silence and slow.
L take. I was stuck in gold in s15, switching to seer immediatly solved the problem. It was a really skillfree legend back then.
Im sure power can be removed from other parts of his tac to make it balanced plus his ult is still pretty bad. That interrupt made him unique, give seer a reason to be picked over bloodhound, maybe buff the silence duration?
it does not matter in ranked everyone is going to play revenant and conduit this seasons again... they are so broken.... and now maybe lifeline aswell. time to kill is going to be fucking bad.... The problem this game has had is time to kill has been to long for like 10 seasons and now its going to be even longer... This season my recommendation is fight 1 team early and then sit in a house and do nothing until end fight...
If TTK is the issue go play CoD, no disrespect intended but that and the movement is the whole reason most people like and play apex. The fact that you actually have to be accurate instead of just Landing three bullets to get a Kill gives me a greater sense of satisfaction. Games with lower ttk are basically who sees who first peek-a-boo Shooters and promotes camping
Yes this game has a high learning curve but that is not the issue for new players the main problem for new players is 2 fold. Not being able to do ranked until level 50 and the absolutely trash matchmaking system. As a new player who started 2 months ago. It took me almost 60 hours to level up to 50. This means doing pubs or mixed tapes for 60 hours and 3 out of 4 matches the matchmaking is trash. Going against players with over 1k hours as a new player is demoralizing.
The level to enter rank is now 20 and the provisional matches are now gone. As for the match making.... We'll see.

How are you meant to enjoy this game? All I do is land and maybe last 4 minutes then get obliterated. Zero teamwork or communication going on and everyone else seems like they have a modded fkn controller… I’m great at COD, overwatch and any other shooter but this annoying arse game (which I happen to prefer the aesthetic/characters/maps) is a joke!
They could at least be creative in horizon's perks, they suck ass
