Wow! As I was watching, I kept saying to myself: "It has that too??" That is feature packed, and everything works. Not bad sound quality either.

It's good. The only thing i didn't check and it might not have is random track play from the SD card. Perhaps it does, I will have to read the manual. Some of these mp3 players only play in the order that tracks for added to the SD card. So basically you build your playlist by copying files in the sequence that you want them to play and it will play them in that order every time. The little unit I use for my test source on the bench for example is such a player it plays the same songs in the same order every time but some will have a random button which I like because it's nice to not hear music in the same order. In my other little portable radio with an MP3 player for example it has random playback which is nice because the 32 gig SD card has 4500 tracks on it so it's nice to hear them and random as opposed to sequentially. but then again if you're streaming from your phone you can set that to random playback anyway

I agree with the battery that makes me a fan already. So easy to use the 18650s compared to built in kind and those weird flat batteries. The lights on it are nice.

Exactly, the last crank radio I reviewed the "cell phone" type flat battery has now gone puffy so its shot. 18650 east to replace.

Honestly, I like this radio very much.
It has an extremely good sound for its size. It receives in am and sw like a champ. FM is working fine. BT is working as expected, mp3 is a gimmick as it does not have a random play feature (only the v115 has it...). Battery life is ok !
The default filter bandwidth seems to be 3 khz, which is a wise choice.
The additional led panel and beam are nice to have.
It's not missing a lot to be the perfect radio. A mp3 random play, a keyboard for direct frequency access and maybe a record feature.

1 minute or cranking gives about 10 minutes radio play.

What the air raid siren. Only my home phone that that ring tone. My alarm system calls me direct so I have a loud ring tone for when the house number calls.

    • @dobrindorin1420

I left it out for 4 hours and it added 1 bar. So basically what it will do if if you leave it in a window it will keep the battery charged up but it is not there to charge a dead battery. The crank however will charge the battery the solar just keeps it charged because remember even when off or in the NOAA alert mode there will be consumption. Therefore if you were using this radio for NOAA weather alerts you can leave it turned on in standby mode and keep it in a window that gets full sun all day and that should keep the battery relatively well charged so that the radio can be left on monitoring for those alerts that may come at any time I believe that's the idea behind the solar panel if you can position it in a window and leave it there turned on and standby mode and it'll keep that battery pretty much fully topped up when it gets sun that way you won't have to charge it on a regular basis
