Animal Crossing New Horizons just released for Nintendo Switch so I thought it would be an awesome time to turn back the clock and look at some weird oddities and discoveries from Animal Crossing on the Nintendo GameCube. Idk what's creepier: Getting a gyroid face when you reset or being stuck in an endless black void when you glitch out the game.

When I was younger, playing City Folk, the idea that I was confined within that small town always kinda scared me. Yeah, there's the city, but that's also really small and ominous. I always wondered what was beyond those huge walls. I would often have dreams that there were more places to travel beside the village and the city. It still kinda creeps me out to this day.

As a kid I bought an Animal Crossing game shark (in retrospect, it's wild they used to sell those in stores) and loved to explore out of bounds ALL THE TIME. So much fun.

While you move to a new town or when you are starting?
@@armyshope while you're go to or coming back from another town. Wait until you return to your town and then Save before you quit or you'll get the Easter Egg(because it's an intentional feature not a glitch).
If you do accidentally get it then while you can't recover the items you were carrying you can get your face back. Just save & quit, then load your save and your face will be normal again. You'll have to earn back the money you lost or use the password that was a promo for a Zelda game to get 30k bells from Tom Nook free. Ironically you can get around the 3 password uses a day limit by traveling to another town & sometimes you can use the word in the other town or wait until you get home and the limit will be reset.
Ah, the bells code slightly differs if you're playing the game on the original GameCube or if you're playing it on the Wii (which is the console Dolphin emulator counts as). There's also codes for nearly every item in the game. Oh, and the codes can be finicky sometimes so persistence or save/quit/change the date on your system to the next day and try again to get the other codes to work. Oh, and the NES games are playable except for when using Dolphin emulator.

I used to play Animal Crossing wild world for a long time... And there was a single fish I noticed as weird and uncatchable... I never hacked the game but as my main income was from fishing I saw it appear 3 or 4 times... It's a fish the size of a shark without the finn in the river or the ocean... I tried with the gold rod but even with that it just bites and swims away fast as if the effect of the rod didn't exist... I have no clue if it is a bug or an Easter egg but with at least 800h spend I only saw it 3 or maybe 4 times... The 1st time I was rushing to get a ballon and only saw it for a moment before scaring it away by accident... If anyone had this happen it would be neat if you shared your experience

Not really a scam given the whole no deadline, no interest aspects of the loans. Plus if you do a dollar to bell ratio they are very reasonable prices.
It is indentured servitude, Tom Nook pays for transportation and housing with a bill for large amount of bells. I forget the exact amount sorry.

Enaronia Plus from my days of game, you can easily amass a fortune which exceeds Tom Nook’s wealth quite easily. Hell, I made 500k Bells off of selling a Garden Wagon DIY recipe. I then made about 550k off of brokering a deal between two guys over a piece of furniture.

I had a feeling there's going to be a split when it comes to the response to her narration. I think some people will really like it, and others not so much.
I personally do like ASMR, and channels that do have soothing narrative voices, but there's something weirdly lispy and fake about hers that I don't like much

I did once get the whale to spawn on the trip to the island, which freaked me out enough I shut my GameCube off. Then a few days later, I tried over and over to see that giant shadow again, but even after what must have been hundreds of trips to and back from the island, I never saw it again. I knew I wasn't just imagining it!
But like....why does everyone hate on Tom nook he just wants you to have a nice place but I mean of course you gotta pay for it

I loved the first Animal Crossing for Gamecube. It didn't have a lot of content, necessarily, but it just felt amazing to play. For me, the characters had more personality, and always seemed to have something new to say. I kinda wish the newer Animal Crossing games would look to the first one (and New Leaf) as examples of how to write their newer games.

I am a fan of ASMR, but her voice is really fake. She's trying to sound like a cutesie anime girl, and it feels really off and unnatural

Why not speak with normal intonation, like all ASMR artist do when they're not currently doing an ASMR video (these are regular people with regular voice pitches, after all). Ugh, I could go on and on about this! 🤣
I don't like ASMRs too, they make me unconfortable and anxious instead of relax myself, but anyways the way she sounded was pretty strange and so it gave me way more anxiety than usual

Does anyone know the glitch in New Leaf where you teleport onto the top of the museum (in Main Street) using the beans glitch and then once you’re on top of the museum if you point the camera up you can see a GIANT life sized version the menu where you open you inventory, design shirts, etc. just floating in the sky?? So I found something weird well playing, I was in my characters room listing to K.K lullaby and I wasn’t looking at my screen at the time then something weird happened, you know how your character always smiles (except when you do reactions) and I looked back at my screen and my character was frowning so I thought “oh I’m probably doing a reaction” but then I started to walk around and the face still had the sad looking. I don’t know what it was about but when I did a reaction it went back to normal, I don’t know what that was all about but I thought it was weird.. 👀

It's actually an easter egg made to further discourage the player from quitting without saving cuz apparently Resetti wasn't traumatic enough to scare kids into "behaving" and Nintendo feels that resets are a sin worth of punishment via trauma. People who buy the games have the right to reset if they want to!
Also, google "what is a haniwa" and compare it to gyroids. Sweet nightmares! >;3

I wish it was either available on mobile or pc. I know its a dream since.. well... Nintendo but a man can dream.

You may not be able to play that specific version on mobile or pc but there's some good news. You can emulate the original on pc, or play Animal Crossing Pocket Camp on mobile. The mobile game is freemium but still playable without spending real money. If you do spend real money do it before the Happy Helper subscription free trial runs out, it's only like $3 a month. As for emulating the emuparadise forums should have the rom, just use the Dolphin emulator and make sure that you have the Wii passwords instead of the GameCube ones.
Can someone tell me why this game so good?
Every time I hear new leaf music I feel emotional and when I hear wild world music I feel nostalgic
