I wouldn't say it was 100% of folks cuz at least a few leave it on and appreciate the aesthetic. Granted, if it's implemented in an obtrusive fashion it gets the axe, but elsewise it actually looks pretty nice with eyecandy games.

That's what watercraft propellers used to look like back in the day. Not sure why, considering that windmills had been a thing for centuries before propellers were invented, but they did be like that. Maybe it did make sense in the context, dunno.

Ksp2 Is only Over Negative is because Take Two shut down the devs and the people are uncertain about continued devolvement of the game. Will it complete or just die... we don't know yet.

I hate all the fake camera effects in games, lense flares, motion blur, field focusing. When I ask on Reddit people say that it makes the games more "cinematic", but why do people want to mimic an inferior media? Movie industry estimated as 104.49 billion, gaming industry is 347 billion.
That's a weird reasoning. Accessibility is part of the reason why gaming is now 3x size of film. Not that it made it superior in any way, as you might imply.
All those camera effects are added to reduce stutter. Unlike cameras, each frame in is generated from discrete value. Either you consciously add a motion inducing effect, or you limit your audience to people with high fps devices.
