CARLTON IN LINDRICK ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: - The Vernacare building used to be the UK base of Ericsson - the mobile phone manufacturer - The demolition is of the county's only dementia care home and elderly carehome. It was James Hince Court EPH, which was closed in late 2018 - The Ramsdens still exist to this day and they still own a vast amount of the village - Bombay Spice was previously Lindrick Lodge. It was a transport cafe run by Eric and Eileen Matthews. Their chip butties were apparently legendary! - The spoil tip mentioned is accessible and has numerous public footpaths leading to it, some going as far out as Gildingwells and Wallingwells. You are also allowed to walk to the top - Carlton Cycles was first built in Carlton before moving to Worksop
Really enjoying your videos very interesting and great detail of information each time. I have moved from Firbeck, to Langold to now Carlton in Lindrick and it’s great seeing them all covered! Thank you!
The demolition is of the county's only dementia care home and elderly carehome. It was James Hince Court EPH. Which was closed late 2018 and now demolished. For yet more development. Such a shame. The Ramsdens still exist to this day and they still own a vast amount of the village
the house that you said was being demolished is NOT a house it was a care home called James Hince Court which provided respite care and was closed by the council. It has since been demolished and at some point bungalows are apparently going to be built on the land
