M'Quve is the reason zeon lost the war. he made the gyan unable to be mass produced, he didn't give Ral his doms because oh his secret mine, he made zeon fight in two fronts space and earth instead of just one front making zeon cut their focus in half.
The reason why it feels a lot older and hollow is because I think it's largely based on the old HGUC Dom kit, at least for the torso and head parts, but the arm joints are definitely modernized.
That leg clip will probably be for the Revive Dom/Rick-Dom. That is similar to the HGUC Dom/Rick-Dom kit. Those clips will hold the additional leg thrusters to make it a Rick-Dom from the Dom
With the OVAs announced we could hope that the Dom R35 has a role to play in them. Possibly the extra joints at the ankles and at the backpack could be for upgrades for the Dom R35 in the upcoming OVAs.
I have a feeling all those empty slots have some foreshadowing for the build fighter Ova that's to come, gonna call it now that there is an add-on kit for the Dom R34 later.
I wonder if the base of this is from the DomTropen. Of all the Dom's I have built the DomTropen is very light and creaky feeling in the legs. The Rick Dom/Dom, and then the Rick-Dom II are pretty solid but the DomTropen I was very disappointed with, and I am a Dom fan.
im getting a feeling that bandai is gonna release new weapon add ons or conversion parts for this guy soon. Those extra holes on the backpack and that "mysterious peg" on the ankles just got me thinking about that possibility :)
@8:59: "all this kit is all new runners-" wait, so you mean that there's a chance that we'll get a Dom revive???? :OOOOOOOOOOO I know this was from 2015, but I still want to believe that it will come :'D
I personally think that Bandai made a mistake by calling it "Dom r35" because the r35 part is from the previous mobile suit "gouf r35" which stands for "ral 35 yo" but this Dom makes an appearance in try(7 years later) so isn't ral 42 now? this should be "Dom r42" but oh well haha. great video as always and yes, a heat saber is part of the optional equipment of the Dom,even if they didn't include it
nice review, but I think something is missing... We need more thrusters, to much empty space without thrusters. but seriously I'm gonna parrot the statement, it's needs a head rod. I think this will be cool when the runners get re purposed for the origin dom.
Saw the quick review before this one. For me it has no extra value, but I think it's an excellent idea for people that only want to see a finished model. Guess I like your "rambling" too much ;-) Liked your comment on how it felt hollow, had to chuckle a bit. Most folks state the Nissan R35 is a bit soulless, hollow if you will. Coincidence or the mysterious ways of Bandai....? Hahaha. But seriously, great review
I really prefer the Rick Dom, personally because it seems like a more "Practical" thing for a Gundam? Even though it's really just some colors switched around. And you can't beat that purple! I was wondering, though - Do you ever top-coat over unpainted models? I'd love to see a video comparison! I'm looking for ways to make my kits seem a bit less toy-like without actually having to paint them. Lazy, I know :V
+KFJ Lazy, but at least it's something! Haha. No I never do, because I intend to paint them eventually. But I could maybe do one in the future just to show it!
I'm hesitant to call this a Dom. It doesn't have any of the things that makes a Dom a Dom like the bazooka nor the heat rod/sword. Doms don't use shields but this has not one, but two of them! Doms are also originally ground type mobile suits but this looks completely to be a space type suit. This. Is NOT a DOM! What are you doing Mr. Ral!?
Attack on Titan is actual feces I did say "originally ground type" and yes I have heard of the rick dom. I wouldn't say the rick dom was a great design to rehash a ground suit for space but that's beside the point. Doesn't change the fact that this is only a dom because it looks like one, and it doesn't capture the essense of the original suit.
This reflects Ral's combat style. He's a close quarters brawler, not a marksman, that's why the shields. Rip armor with the claws, blunt damage with shield, and mid to long with the MGs.
Luis-Gabriel Leal I decided to get the kid anyway and I love it. The hard points on the back worked great for mounting some heavy weaponry. Now he looks like a badass
Ral got his doms this time
When you think about it, in that one act of petty stupidity, M'Quve lost Zeon the entire war.
@@luminusprime not the only reason but yea it pays a huge part in it wtf lol
M'Quve is the reason zeon lost the war. he made the gyan unable to be mass produced, he didn't give Ral his doms because oh his secret mine, he made zeon fight in two fronts space and earth instead of just one front making zeon cut their focus in half.

"For better thrusting.. up and down.."
+kyuuzu sama Haha, I noticed that as well while I was editing. Oh well!
heard it.. didnt get it. read your comment.. now i get it.. lmao xD
kyuuzu sama for those deep powerful thrusts
Forgot about this Dom, gotta pick him up, love these giant suits so much.
That leg clip will probably be for the Revive Dom/Rick-Dom. That is similar to the HGUC Dom/Rick-Dom kit. Those clips will hold the additional leg thrusters to make it a Rick-Dom from the Dom
+bvzxa3 Agreed! I'm really expecting a Revive Dom now~
+bvzxa3 Agreed! I'm really expecting a Revive Dom now~
i think those unused clips for the ankle joint will be used in the inevitable hguc revive dom, and will hold the leg thrusters
isnt the joints based on the old HGUC dom
Nice review... the holes in the backpack can hold the shields through their handles
Ah ha~ hanks for the tip!
+ZakuAurelius You're welcome ;)
With the OVAs announced we could hope that the Dom R35 has a role to play in them.
Possibly the extra joints at the ankles and at the backpack could be for upgrades for the Dom R35 in the upcoming OVAs.
+Aston Twix Oh? I hadn't heard about Build Fighters OVAs
+ZakuAurelius It was announced on the build fighters try twitter. They've yet to announce a date tho.
Despite not being the best quality-wise, this suit looks awesome.
nice review man, I'm looking forward to building it, I'm not sure what to paint it, I kinda like the blues
Does this still hold on? I like Zeon Grunts, specially the DOM
Closest to a dom revive i must say
I have a feeling all those empty slots have some foreshadowing for the build fighter Ova that's to come, gonna call it now that there is an add-on kit for the Dom R34 later.
How well do arms hold in into the body cause some of these newer kits has weak shoulder joints that just fall off
+Josh McClure I didn't notice them being an issue!
good cause I have the Gouf R-35 and the arms tend to fall off
Butt thrusters are suppose to move up and link up with the upper thrusters for a "high mobility" mode or w/e
+steve eh Ah ha~ ok
I wonder if the base of this is from the DomTropen. Of all the Dom's I have built the DomTropen is very light and creaky feeling in the legs. The Rick Dom/Dom, and then the Rick-Dom II are pretty solid but the DomTropen I was very disappointed with, and I am a Dom fan.

+rick hernandez I think it's because they will make a Revive Dom. Possibly~
Well that aged poorly
still hoping for that 😅
@8:59: "all this kit is all new runners-" wait, so you mean that there's a chance that we'll get a Dom revive???? :OOOOOOOOOOO
I know this was from 2015, but I still want to believe that it will come :'D
I'm still hoping for an announcement any day now lol
Maybe you can squeeze a build burning gundam in the Dom? Kinda sad that this Dom doesnt have the heat sword/saber or even some kind of ranged weapon.
This should’ve been retooled in the HGUC MS-09B Dom (Revive).
I personally think that Bandai made a mistake by calling it "Dom r35" because the r35 part is from the previous mobile suit "gouf r35" which stands for "ral 35 yo" but this Dom makes an appearance in try(7 years later) so isn't ral 42 now? this should be "Dom r42" but oh well haha.
great video as always and yes, a heat saber is part of the optional equipment of the Dom,even if they didn't include it
+Salvador Cuarto Good point! Should have been Dom R42! I guess he was embarrassed about his age~ He clearly wasn't 35 before anyway
Nah R35 is from Nissan GTR
nice review, but I think something is missing...
We need more thrusters, to much empty space without thrusters.
but seriously I'm gonna parrot the statement, it's needs a head rod. I think this will be cool when the runners get re purposed for the origin dom.
+fuzzyhawk down Thanks! And yeah, it's pretty clear this isn't the last we're going to see of those new 'Dom' runners!
Thing is, of course its gonna feel like a old kit, ima guess it's based on the HGUC dom which is number 59 in the HGUC line
on my kit the legs don't stay on the kit. I can't even pick mine up or put it on a base without losing the legs.
would glue fix this or would it lock the legs and keep it from moving?
which one is better gouf or dom
Both
wait... isnt ral supposed to be 35 years old in season 1? why the heck is he still 35 in season 2??
Lorenz Retiro well he claims he is 35 in season 2 which he clearly isn't
Looks like a Dom Tropen hit the school of veirners.
Those claw hidden weapons are confusing.
we need dom revive or MG 2.0, why Bandai sleep on dom?????
Dom R35 feel off without any heat weapon or it just me
+DJz Zero I'm really thinking those runners marked simple "Dom" are going to be used for a Revive kit.
welp, most HGBF kits just there to hint there will be some old kit to revive with new mold
not surprise Dom R35 also follow the pattern
Saw the quick review before this one. For me it has no extra value, but I think it's an excellent idea for people that only want to see a finished model. Guess I like your "rambling" too much ;-)
Liked your comment on how it felt hollow, had to chuckle a bit. Most folks state the Nissan R35 is a bit soulless, hollow if you will. Coincidence or the mysterious ways of Bandai....? Hahaha. But seriously, great review
+Tim Lemmens Haha, great comment! Glad you enjoy the reviews~
the front booster kinda seems out off place in my opinion..
Very dissapointed with the lack of effect parts or a beam saber.
it's like a DOM and a GP01Fb decided to have a baby >_
lots of thrusters and a lot of "mysterious" connector/holed parts as well... hmmm...
sahki🐎🐎

Ral 35
a dom in goufs clothing.. hmmm
First
Wow what a waste of human intelligence
Theoreviews I very much agree.
Fucking loser
I'm hesitant to call this a Dom. It doesn't have any of the things that makes a Dom a Dom like the bazooka nor the heat rod/sword. Doms don't use shields but this has not one, but two of them! Doms are also originally ground type mobile suits but this looks completely to be a space type suit.

Alvin Tay This probably what would happened if ramba ral got the doms he requested
This reflects Ral's combat style. He's a close quarters brawler, not a marksman, that's why the shields. Rip armor with the claws, blunt damage with shield, and mid to long with the MGs.
Attack on Titan is actual feces it looks like a Ric Dom two mixed with a Kemper in the back
bruh i dont really like the new intro
This video is years old...
sorry bro didnt notice 🙏🤣
I hated this. such a waste of $$.
Luis-Gabriel Leal thanks for the tip. I was hesitant to get it. I will just have to wait for the standard release origin kit
Luis-Gabriel Leal although I did find a painted version of this kid that looked amazing
Luis-Gabriel Leal I decided to get the kid anyway and I love it. The hard points on the back worked great for mounting some heavy weaponry. Now he looks like a badass
I found this kit to be complete shit.
