  • In this video I’ll show you how to make an ecosystem & how it looks after 200 days of growth.
I’ve done very little maintenance to this terrarium & only watered it 2-3 times since setting it up. It sits under LED lights & received 12 hours of light a day, this just goes to show that terrariums & super easy to keep & thrive with minimal maintenance:)

Larry Mo and Curly for the snails, after the Three Stooges. Curly is especially fitting, for the curly swirl of the shells. 😁💕🐌🐌🐌

My guy, the plant shop you link is so dang amazing. As a beginner I really appreciate the site telling me the lighting and placement needed for these plants. Only downside - they are always out of moss. XD

I also plan to purchase a bromeliad (cryptantus earth star) from our towns botanical garden. It's really cheap - less than 2$, and I can get some isopods in its pot as a bonus :)
I think it's going to be great for my future build in a 10L tank.
    Any tips for keeping cryptantus?

    • @TerrariumDesigns

Cryptanthus are beautiful plants! My only tip is that although they are considered epithets, they grow great in soil:)

Garden snails unfortunately get too big in small set ups & a know to eat the plants. These ones are called garlic snails & they stay super tiny:)

That makes me think of all the times I accidentally stepped on snails…. Snap crackle, pop!! After the rain, snails cover the sidewalks, and try as we do, they snap crackle and pop under our shoes and leave a blob of slime and guts. I like Larry Mo and Curly better, Three Stooges 😁 and the shell has a curl too
