thank you man really appreciate that!!! i do use the onboard fx card in the xl for my drums and snare... the beat you hear at the end of my videos are just quickly normalized and compressed... im also going to be utiliing the 8 outs more and sending it to a mixer with gear... im just in the middle of moving atm so all my stuff is still packed up...
I feel the overpriced records viewpoints but you gotta make one exception for the tone poet blue note reissues. You get the goods for 40$ and the sound quality cant be beat. Lots of super dope jazz records on tone poets.

yeah g 83 coupe deville 90d out... thank you i really appreciate that 🫡. i have a bunch of videos of me digging, some talking and going through records and some very little talking but i will definitely be coming out with these on the regular and see what people want to see more of... yeah the car i had more footage but it came out fucked up and i had put my car away for winter the next day... it was in november late october and it just happened to be sunny warm day... in the fututre ill definitely show more of the car and three wheels and hopping around

yeah cds are still a dollar no matter hwat and the quality is amazing, i found that sonic boom is reallt good for prices but not the re-issues theyre an arm and a leg i dont fuck with those at all, the hipsters fucked up the vinyl game i find that the new dollar bin is 2.50 or 5 dollars now... sonic boom has one of the best dollar bins with the dollarama label in the corner by all the expensive stuff, its messed up though thats why i always talk shi about expensive vinyls and overpriced garbage smh@@Brooklynsagemusic
its not the equipment its you that makes the music, you can make the same type of beats on the computer with fl studio or whatever daw... but i use the mpc 2000 xl, mpc x, stanton t150 turntable, usb numark dj mixer, presonus audio interface
this is a good question. theres different ways to go about it. if you have a bunch of chops that have no snares or kicks in it then you can choose whatever tempo youd like. play around with pitching your sample to make it sound like how you like. then from there play around with the tempo. its all about trial and error. if you have a loop or samples that have snare and kicks in them then lay down the sample in your sequencer and play with the tempo until it loops properly. let me know how this goes
doesnt get any better than the dollar bin!!! what i love about the dollar bin is that you get records youll never ever dig for and find some super gas on there!!!
appreciate that homie, when im using the xl i will eq the sample if i feel it needs to be eqd, lets say i want to do a high pass on it and tak eout all the bass, ill do that on my mixer and then sample it in... if im using the mpc x then no i dont do any eqing, i can do all that within the machine... ill sy this though that when i eq out the bass from the mixer it will sound better than doing in within the mpc x... but not a huge difference
game changer man, youll be able to extract drums and guitar riff etc and them chop them up at your will... at the end of the day its going to be another resource for youto sample... ill mostly be sticking to the way i already sample because with stems youll have to layer things if its all seperated... with stem programs youre able to keep certain elements and only take out lets say the drums... im curious to see if youre able to do this in mpc... it seems like its just strictly a track separator
Dope content bro🔥 but man how do you get your vinyl audio so crisp?..I sample from a pioneer plx 1000 with a Numark M2 mixer & I get a lot of dampening sound from it. Any tips on what I should do?

@@dubsbangermusic I’m sampling into my Mpc X..the needle I use is the ortofon club concord needle..I might try out a different one to see if that’s the issue
the dampening issue youre having is with the mpc x itself... anything you sample into it will sound flat and thin... ive covered this before and will be coming out with a youtube video covering this... youre going to have to add effects like air flavour to it and turn up the volume of the sampke in your pad mixer bank... theres no way to fix this issue except with post production mixing... i have a video on my ig that was reposted and caused some controversy check it out... in the off chance that this is not the cause of the problem check the condition of your needle and make sure its not broken (theres youtube videos on how to tell if its broken) check all your wire connections grounding etc... try using headphone and listen to what it sound slike form the mixer, put your headphones into the mixer and listen to see if you hear any irregularities... let me know what happens @@SolidKampSounds
amazing, big fan of it, ive been using stem separating programs for a while, ill only use it if im really feeling the sounds in the background of a sample, sometimes its too much time to do but if its right in the machine ill definitely be utilizing it a lot more

thank you man really appreciate that!!! i do use the onboard fx card in the xl for my drums and snare... the beat you hear at the end of my videos are just quickly normalized and compressed... im also going to be utiliing the 8 outs more and sending it to a mixer with gear... im just in the middle of moving atm so all my stuff is still packed up...

I feel the overpriced records viewpoints but you gotta make one exception for the tone poet blue note reissues. You get the goods for 40$ and the sound quality cant be beat. Lots of super dope jazz records on tone poets.

yeah g 83 coupe deville 90d out... thank you i really appreciate that 🫡. i have a bunch of videos of me digging, some talking and going through records and some very little talking but i will definitely be coming out with these on the regular and see what people want to see more of... yeah the car i had more footage but it came out fucked up and i had put my car away for winter the next day... it was in november late october and it just happened to be sunny warm day... in the fututre ill definitely show more of the car and three wheels and hopping around

@@dubsbangermusic sonic boom is cool, me and my boy went a couple months ago but they also be charging an arm and leg. The new generation fucked up the vinyl game because they think it’s trendy so now it becomes a hot commodity, that’s why I try to sample cds cause nobody buys those anymore
yeah cds are still a dollar no matter hwat and the quality is amazing, i found that sonic boom is reallt good for prices but not the re-issues theyre an arm and a leg i dont fuck with those at all, the hipsters fucked up the vinyl game i find that the new dollar bin is 2.50 or 5 dollars now... sonic boom has one of the best dollar bins with the dollarama label in the corner by all the expensive stuff, its messed up though thats why i always talk shi about expensive vinyls and overpriced garbage smh@@Brooklynsagemusic

its not the equipment its you that makes the music, you can make the same type of beats on the computer with fl studio or whatever daw... but i use the mpc 2000 xl, mpc x, stanton t150 turntable, usb numark dj mixer, presonus audio interface
This may be a stupid question I'm new to making beats, but i want to learn.
How do you know what BPM to use when making a beat?
this is a good question. theres different ways to go about it. if you have a bunch of chops that have no snares or kicks in it then you can choose whatever tempo youd like. play around with pitching your sample to make it sound like how you like. then from there play around with the tempo. its all about trial and error. if you have a loop or samples that have snare and kicks in them then lay down the sample in your sequencer and play with the tempo until it loops properly. let me know how this goes

appreciate that homie, when im using the xl i will eq the sample if i feel it needs to be eqd, lets say i want to do a high pass on it and tak eout all the bass, ill do that on my mixer and then sample it in... if im using the mpc x then no i dont do any eqing, i can do all that within the machine... ill sy this though that when i eq out the bass from the mixer it will sound better than doing in within the mpc x... but not a huge difference
What do you think about the MPC Stem's?
game changer man, youll be able to extract drums and guitar riff etc and them chop them up at your will... at the end of the day its going to be another resource for youto sample... ill mostly be sticking to the way i already sample because with stems youll have to layer things if its all seperated... with stem programs youre able to keep certain elements and only take out lets say the drums... im curious to see if youre able to do this in mpc... it seems like its just strictly a track separator

Dope content bro🔥 but man how do you get your vinyl audio so crisp?..I sample from a pioneer plx 1000 with a Numark M2 mixer & I get a lot of dampening sound from it. Any tips on what I should do?
thank you so much 🙏 what needle do you have? the quality of raw audio is going to come down to your needle... what are you sampling into a mpc or computer?
@@dubsbangermusic I’m sampling into my Mpc X..the needle I use is the ortofon club concord needle..I might try out a different one to see if that’s the issue
the dampening issue youre having is with the mpc x itself... anything you sample into it will sound flat and thin... ive covered this before and will be coming out with a youtube video covering this... youre going to have to add effects like air flavour to it and turn up the volume of the sampke in your pad mixer bank... theres no way to fix this issue except with post production mixing... i have a video on my ig that was reposted and caused some controversy check it out... in the off chance that this is not the cause of the problem check the condition of your needle and make sure its not broken (theres youtube videos on how to tell if its broken) check all your wire connections grounding etc... try using headphone and listen to what it sound slike form the mixer, put your headphones into the mixer and listen to see if you hear any irregularities... let me know what happens @@SolidKampSounds

amazing, big fan of it, ive been using stem separating programs for a while, ill only use it if im really feeling the sounds in the background of a sample, sometimes its too much time to do but if its right in the machine ill definitely be utilizing it a lot more
