The winners were NBC , One of my favorite tv shows, growing up , amazing to see A list actors and icons battle it out for what would be roughly $100,000 in todays value ,can you see A listers fighting out like they did back then , i think not LOL , the remake failed completely, love seeing how hard these celebrities tried and the competition to win is awesome , I'll be posting all 19 episode over the next few days ! Battle of the Network Stars is a series of competitions in which television stars from ABC, CBS and NBC would compete in various sporting events. A total of 19 of these competitions were held between 1976 and 1988, all of which were aired by ABC.All but one of the competitions took place at the sports facilities of Pepperdine University near Malibu, California, the exception being XVIII which was held in Ixtapa, Mexico.
Each network was represented by eight or ten of its stars from various series, and one of those people from each team would be elected to serve as the network's team captain.

Gabe Kaplan surprised us all with how good an athlete he is. Probably was a good basketball player too.
The only captain to help two networks to victory
This Tug of War was the longest in TBoNS, and certainly the most intense. ABC just didn't have the muscle in rhe front.

ABC always had the advantage when Scott Baio was on their team. He was very athletic. Looked good in a speedo too 😅

sorry, brother, not trying to mislead you at all , i bought these off eBay years ago, and because honestly they were some of my favorite TV shows from the times i wanted to share it and save people from buying them and of course bring back good memories, believe me i would love it if ABC remastered the whole series

I would like to see the Network stars competition on TV so I can see it on the big 55 inch screen. If they can't get the new stars to participate bring back the reruns
we use the RUclips tv app to watch it on tv . If you have a smart tv , it should be good to watch on your tv

Gabe Kaplan was in a short lived show called Lewis and Clark for NBC .

I think there was an unwritten rule about not being allowed to compete in anything you've actually done as an athlete... there was a similar show to this called "SuperStars" where pro-athletes competed in various athletic challenges ... and Greg Louganis qualified because he is technically a professional DIVER and not a competitive swimmer (he *still* wiped the competition)
