I’ve sanded down my painted orange peel walls to a smooth finish. Do I I need to size the walls when I’m using peel and stick faux grasscloth wallpaper?
Hi Spencer- Very informative as usual! You have been a wealth of knowledge and I’m feeling confident in this DIY wallpaper project. However I have some questions. I am currently renting and I have Orange peel textured walls. I want to hang wallpaper on (1) 12’ x 8’ wall. 2 questions: 1. Is skim coating the orange peel texture absolutely necessary? 2. What product should I apply to ensure paper removal does not damage these Orange Peel walls in our rental.
It’s an excellent question. Here’s what you wanna do, I will assume that your walls of painted already and that’s a good thing. It’s even better if you have a semi gloss paint on it. Semi gloss paint is hard and it will protect the texture underneath it; however, if it’s porous flat paint, then you wanna take extra precautions. Here’s what I would like you to do: go on Amazon and order a gray container of weld bond glue. www.amazon.com/Weldbond-8-50030-Universal-Adhesive-101/dp/B00RM70LKI/ref=sxts_rp_s1_0?cv_ct_cx=weldbond&dchild=1&keywords=weldbond&pd_rd_i=B00RM70LKI&pd_rd_r=221b7f08-9ea0-4b55-8024-fb51ffdf9c90&pd_rd_w=vr0Wy&pd_rd_wg=jhVU5&pf_rd_p=6eac80ba-829a-4e87-bfad-12a47eca0d05&pf_rd_r=58FBN1FBKMN7KN69QWCN&psc=1&qid=1625597779&sr=1-1-cb9ed203-36f2-497c-b389-dfec57adb781 It’s approximately 1 gallon and it’s only about 30-something dollars but what you do is you pour it into a bucket and you put one part well bond and three parts water. Rolled out on your walls twice and let it dry overnight and your texture will remain intact when you take down your wall paper, trust me brother. Would you do me a favor and give me a five star review on my Google profile on the below link? I would greatly appreciate it and if you could say something nice, all the better! www.google.com/search?q=tampa%20wallpaper%20installer&tbm=
@@spencercolgan thank you. This is going to be an interesting hunt, I live in Trinidad and Tobago where we dont have all brands readily available. Took me a very long time but I was able to find Roman Pro 880. Fingers crossed.

Hi Spencer what would put on MDF wood before wallpapering ,I was thinking of using bullseye 123
Nope! Zinsser BIN
Love that mop ;)
I primed my new drywall with drywall primer and now decided to wallpaper it, can this go over the primer to seal it? Or is it not necessary?
Use gardz. Let it dry 6 hours.
