The Rock n Roller Cart i have looks like the one you have! I fly everywhere with mine and as it turns out, you can gate check it for free and it allows for me to work all over with the gear i roll with! Great to see you mentioned your cart!
Gotta agree here. I love my Rock N Roller Cart. Highly recommend the tabletop part for it too. Rolling light stands are a plus as well and I can't get enough ThinkTank Red whips. I'll have to check out the lap desk. Cheers
i bought a Rock n Roller a few years ago and it's made life in general sooooo much easier lol. got it for a photo tethering station, and I've barely used it for that compared to everything else its great for
That monitoring app looks like it's design was ripped from the Black Magic Pocket series, which is great. Still to this day that menu system is unbeatable for it's ease of use and functionality. I'm very pleased to see manufacturers and designers implementing similar designs into there products. Very future proof and versatile UI.
and the icons on the bottom row are similar to Atomos products, so it seems they used different ux elements and that's good. What they also did is made me consider buying an ipad
a7siii rigging video would be dope! Do that for sure, as it looked like you had a couple configurations. Some really helpful items here overall..that camera app is clutch!
Cool content man! You might also consider implementing chapters that show the break points on the timeline by subject or topic. I've been seeing a lot of those on other people's channels and really love it.
I have the A7siii and it’s been my baby since getting it I can’t see myself switching anytime soon edit: pleaseeeee so a video on your Sony rig I would love to compare !
Thanks man. I have been trying to get the Monitor + to work on my FX3 but it cuts off after 20 seconds all the time. Been trying for weeks. I think maybe my wifi on my brand new FX3 is a dud...
Thanks for the video. Would you say that the following gear cart from Rock N Roller is better than the one you recommended? The Rock N Roller has a higher load capacity and more accessories.
Wait a second, isn't the Monitor+ App doing what DJI Video Transmission, a $2499 DJI Add-on, supposed to be doing? Does Monitor+ have a Canon alternative too? I'm genuinely curious
After having spent countless of thousands of dollars on GÉARS in hope of making better videos, I have come to the conclusion that NO GEAR will ever make you the next Steven Spielberg. Only your creativity and talent may do so and yet no one on RUclips talks about that.
Everyone on RUclips talks about that. Not in a rude way. It is true, but “gear doesn’t matter” is almost a cliche in the filming community at this point. Unless you already knew that. Then I applaud your sarcastic wit.
@@JonJosephKuhn Hello Jon. Fair enough but what I mean t is that the “average” RUclipsr is really only interested in selling you all kind of gears so they can make money and they do so by trying to convince you that if you buy that gear, your video will just magically improve and that is simply not true. Most YT videos are about that ”new and amazing product that no one can live without”. BS. Cheers my friend.
What kind of ball head did you pair with that tripod? I've been looking for a sturdy tripod to hold my A7IV while I record videos but I can't afford a dedicated video tripod and fluid head. Do you like the tripod legs and ball head combo you showed?
If I'd live in the US, I probably would get a A7Slll for $3500 as well. But since I live in Europe, this camera costs 4700€ - convert this to USD and you're looking at a price tag of $5500 which is just stupid - got a 6kpro and 3 lenses for that amount of money lol
Do you press and hold the autofocus in video mode and have the camera track for you, or do you just tap it to get into focus and then pull on your own? Never used AF with video before
I'm in the film making industry for almost a year now, Just came across your channel and what a shame I didn't hear of you sooner! DAMN! I love your videos and your style!! Quick question: At 6:02 What are those black cases that you are loading on your cart? I really need a case that holds the same amount of space as a backpack, just more Rugged Thanks Man!
In your title, you stated: "Filmmaking...." I have to ask you what type of film are you using? That doesn't look like a film camera to me. Hey, it's 2022 and most of us are using DIGITAL cameras and not a roll of film in sight. You get an F in your presentation.
Hell yes! I think simplicity is key, as creators we deffo get caught up in gear, but this takes us away from actually hitting record! lets go people!
100% my man!
Can't wait for 2022! 👊🏻
So pumped. Feels like it’s going to be an incredible year
Those Mini V mount batteries have been very helpful for me .
That's way better than my collapsible wagon cart that I've got from target lol. I also have the SmallRig multi-tool thing-a-ma-jig

Yessss a lot of these tools will help with workflow and convenience when filming day to day. Great video 👍🏻
Thanks John!! :)
