I think you’re my new favorite- because you are so quick in your delivery yet so thorough as well! And thank you for not sharing all the family memories of Schwarma, the first time you tasted Schwarma, the history of chickpeas, etc.
Just made this for dinner. My husband kept saying "it's soooo good." Followed the recipe for chicken, rice and sauce. It's just awesome. It's easy to make. I marinated the chicken in the morning and cooked it for dinner. Highly recommend making this. Oh, and for dessert I made her no bake mosaiko biscuit cake, which is also awesome!
@@anacorona2527 sorry I just saw your question. I actually cooked the rice in my little rice cooker but I did add more liquid bc I like my rice a little soft for long grain rice. I would recommend 2.5 cups of broth on the stove but it may need to simmer just a bit longer...if you like soft long grain rice. Hope that helps.
Wow! That looks delicious! Thanks for showing an easy and accessible recipe. The addition of the chickpeas really stretches the volume of food. Definitely going to try!
This like every other dimitra recipe is fantastic! The rice was so delicious! Definitely a winner! The olive oil she sells on her website is fantastic as well.
Thank you for sharing this recipe, I have made it today and it is delicious, even my picky eaters loved it, please share more easy and delicious recipes 😊
I would recommend starting with a slightly lower temperature and less cooking time, each air fryer is different, and when I used the temperature and time recommended here, my chicken got extra dry and carbonized a bit 😅 but, I can tell that if i do it again with those modifications it will be a winner!!
I appreciate the presentation of your recipes. You make them easy to follow and appear effortless to execute.. Thank you for this delicious looking chicken recipe. I love your channel.
I just went to a Mediterranean restaurant this week and are shawarma chicken for the first time. Perfect timing on this recipe! I'll definitely be trying.
@@jman4817 A friend came to visit me for my birthday a few years back and we went to Boston for the weekend. As we left the Museum of Art there was a little shawarma place down the street. I ordered a vegetable kibbeh in a wrap: it had pumpkin, pumpkin seeds, veggies I don't even know what all... quinoa, maybe. It was absolutely delicious and I have been trying to get back so I can try it again if that place is still there. It was just a little hole in the wall, it actually looked almost like where they filmed the closing scene in Avengers LOL. Don't limit yourself to looking for Greek places you will also find it in Lebanese restaurants and others

Latin food has the same ingredients as middle eastern food. Sad though sometimes bad things happen to people who aren't trying to sabotage or push out other people's culture and food. One time a really nice Hispanic woman was making her latin food and one of her hair got into the food. It was fixed fast though. Truth be told, if the ruling side offered me the ride of my life and market it as work, I would help them get rid of any side who wasn't offering me the same life most people fantasize about. Love the dark brown cabinets very office vibe.

Are 2 cups of chicken broth enough to cook the 2 cups of rice? 😅

This looks absolutely amazing Dimitra😍I'm going to have to get an air fryer now!!
It makes life so much easier. Especially for me because I don't go near the bbq grill. lol!
This looks delicious - thank you!
You are so welcome!
Thank you so much 🙏🙏🙏
I have got to try this thank you
You’re welcome 😊
Love these recipes. However, I have to wait on this one since Lent has started.
Use fish. Lessen the cooking time.
Thank you will be making this soon! If using the oven/broiler for the chicken how long would you say to cook it for?
About 25 minutes :)
I like the way your kids think, Dimitra, those "earthy" spices don't work for me, outside of baking.
I'll be making this one!
Will you be posting the recipe?
The recipe is on my website and the link is in the description box below the video :)

Yum
Can you do a cava inspired bowl with harissa chicken with tomato + cucumber salad
I have some Shwarma seasoning. How much of it would you suggest I use? I’m thinking 1-2 tablespoons.
That sounds about right. I would still add some extra salt :) enjoy!!
Great!!! Thank you 🌺🤗🌺
You are so welcome!

Sometimes I put pumpkin seeds in the rice as well as one or two whole cloves. It gives a good warm flavor to the dish.
Sounds great! Thank you for sharing!!
It sounds good but I have a question, is it the ratio for rice and water 1 cup rice 2 cups of water? You said 2 cups rice 2 cups water?
Do you use specific brands for the sauce? I try to look at videos as careful as possible, but the sauce always turns out bad.
Very nice recipe I will make it tonight- by the way do you use ammonia in your cookies- I need to make biscuits old fashion? Waiting for your reply
thank you! I have never tried baking with ammonia. I use baking soda or baking powder instead :)
