Drones are not allowed in Griffith Park, but the Hollywood sign is just outside the park. Here is a post showing how to get there: hollywoodsign.org/hiking-to-the-sign/
You can actually fly in Griffith Park too. The federal government is the only organization that can restrict airspace. Not even states can barr you from flying. You are not allowed to take off or land in griffith Park, but you can still fly anywhere above it as long as you are following any FAA restrictions.
wow awesome dude! did you have any problems with cops, rangers or something similiar? i want to fly my drone there but i’m pretty scared to be caught...
Hi, I work for South Korean broadcast company tvN. we would like to use your video on our history show. I'd like to use it to introduce local travel destinations related to the topic. Could you please let me know if we could use an excerpt from it giving the credit to your channel? Thanks :)
Can I use this in an independent music video?? Please let me know as soon as possible! This is the final missing piece I need! Will link you when it's out later this month!
@@Wrecksy I have just checked on a Airmap app and the sign is located in Griffith park. Moreover it is in Burbank airspace that requires authorization. How did you manage it? Im flying soon to LA. I am not sure if I should take my drone. Looks like you can fly nowhere in LA :( Please advise!
The Griffith Park has its own map, but the LA County map shows it’s just outside the park, check the GIS boundary system, google the official map done by the city not the tourist Griffith Park map.
IR on google, it definitely shows the Hollowood sign in the green space of Griffith Park. The road or trail behind it is not in the green, but if you satellite image it, the sign is in the green. I’m all for it, I’m taking my drone to LA on Saturday and I’d love to take it there, but it is in the park and there’s literally a sign at the sign that says “no drone zone”
Amazing footage!
Great shot of Forest Lawn Memorial Park Hollywood Hills and Mt. Sinai Cemetery.
hello dear can i use this clip for my vlog with proper credit please ?
Awesome drone shots! How were you able to fly a drone up there? Pls give me tips as I plan to visit LA in June.

It's actually okay to fly here. Drones are not allowed in Griffith Park, however this is just outside the park. :)
@@WrecksyI took my Avata thinking it was ok. There are signs posted everywhere up there and cameras all over the Antenna station fences.

NO 😁
Hey man, I was wondering if there's any way I can purchase that first drone shot?
Hi! Thanks for your interest. At the moment I am not selling my work because of other obligations. Sorry about that.
@@Wrecksy I get that. Thanks for replying tho!
Can I pay you to use this?
do you need a permit to fly at the Hollywood sign?
Nope. Griffith Park bans drones but the sign is just outside Griffith park.
@@Wrecksy thank you for the quick response... awesome video by the way...

Did you need some type of permit to fly there?
Nope. You can fly at the sign. Just not in Griffith Park, which surrounds the area.
Can you contact me regarding licensing this shot for a film? Or send me your contact info? Thanks!
This is awesome work! Do you by chance do any drone videography for contract?
Thanks! At the moment it's just a hobby, and I don't have a part 107 certification so I would not be able to do commercial work anyway.
Ah gotcha, thanks! I have a question about this shot- would you mind messaging me at Lawlor.andrewj@outlook.com?
