As a white belt, nearing blue... pretty sure my 80% " i got it " a month later turns in to "I barely understand what's really going on here!" all the time.
Six-month white belt here… nothing I hate more than trying to figure something out and my newbie white belt partner is yapping… “please stop coaching” said firmly usually stops it in its tracks.
People naturally want to help, especially if they think they understand the technique; however, it is so much better for your growth and theirs to ask the black belts for clarification.
If Khabib takes a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu class he will do it to learn and not to teach. Some of my best most attentive students are black belts in other martial arts, but white or blue belts in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
@@dragonballjiujitsu Interesting, you claim "doesn't really count" when a point is made that you can not counter. I never claimed Khabib only, I just used him as an example.
@@semperfortisjiujitsuOkay, any of your attentive students who are black belts in other martial arts Judo black belts? If you are teaching "white belts" and one of them is correcting the other on a takedown but the one giving a correction is a Black Belt in Judo is that okay?
@@yew2oob954 I think you missed the point completely. Let me explain. If a D1 wrestler comes to my JiuJitsu school and taps my guys do you think he should get a belt even though he doesn't even know Jiu-jitsu? Khabib knows sambo, wrestling and maybe judo but he is a white belt in BJJ and shouldn't be teaching anyone BJJ. Get it now? Also realize you are cherry picking hard core.

The struggle is real and I can totally relate.
As a white belt learning, I endorse this message. Leave your ego outside the gym!
Thanks my friend
Hilarious given the hypocrisy in saying "my ego knows more than you" lol. I can tell y'all haven't gone to a real college.
As a white belt with 9 stripes, I am open to the prospect of putting on a seminar at your school if you pay for my lunch.
Thank you,
OSS!
Thanks! Your comment definitely brought a smile to my face this morning.
Oh! It humor 's me very much.
Experienced similar situation many times 🙄
Thanks for sharing 👍
Thanks for watching! Hope you had a great weekend my friend!
Man I saw this and avoided the video. I was like I have not been to class in a few weeks lol. Glad it was not me this time. Hahahahahah
Too funny 😁

Me and the new guys we help walk eachother through the exercises and drills, because we all suck and forget haha.
I was incompetent and awkward as a white belt, but after a lot of training it got better. Best wishes on your journey!
LOL... great example, especially as it relates to t/Cardiologist!
Glad you liked it! Thanks my friend!
I’m more impressed with this man everyday! Now I learn he has the times tables memorized!?!
Glad that I still remember the times table. I was thinking if I get an example wrong, I would definitely get roasted.
@@semperfortisjiujitsu I didn’t check ur math mostly because I don’t know my times tables
Since when or what white belt is teaching????
Depends on the white belt...technically Khabib is a white belt in BJJ but if he's teaching top positional control...you might want to listen.
No one else is Khabib. Also Khabib is only a "white belt" because he doesn't really care to get ranked in BJJ. Doesn't really count.
