I am always surprised when I get asked "When am I getting promoted?" but it happens and it is usually by people who are no where close to being ready for promotion. Have a great weekend!
Don't grab fingers Don't ask the instructor to roll, they'll ask you Don't use your full weight against a female or much younger partner Don't rip submissions in training
your professor is the absolute king of the tatami. He is the lord and you have to be grateful he lets you pay to get classes. Any misbehaving, bad humour, or irresponsibility must be automatically forgiven and forgotten, never speak about it to anyone, remember, be grateful he is letting pay. DO NOT dare to do any contact sports outside of your academy without asking for the professor approvals beforehand, it doesn't matter if you are 30+ years old and have a family, you professor is your master. Do not befriend or talk about other gyms, never!.
Great point! I forgot about that one, because at Semper Fortis Jiu Jitsu my rule it is okay to ask higher belts to train. However, I am one of the few schools that do that and the invitation to train aka roll would not be received well by some schools and higher belts.
I always thought this was a dumb rule. I understand and agree with the rule that you can’t choose another partner over the higher belt when they want to roll with you, but maybe I learn a lot training with a particular brown belt. I don’t see why I can’t ask to roll. It’s not like they can’t say no
Ultimately, it would build self confidence for the lower belts to ask high belts to roll and it would be good skill set for the high belts to actively work positions on the lower grades, giving them a chance to find positions and become familiar with techniques without smashing them at lightning speed with submissions thus teaching them to roll at the lower belt’s pace.
3:53 is killing me!! 😂🤣😂 When do I get my black belt I just started last week?! 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂

Excellent 👉 points
Think its fair to say that all gyms do things differently under different circumstances. Dont agree with all these but dont disagree either.
I have visited many schools over the years, and each one has a little variation in their rules and customs.
Wet wipe/shower/bidet before training. Dingleberry swamp ass is a surefire way to stop someone's deep half entry
Interesting tactics 🤔
😭😂😂😂😂😎👍... Yeah swamp ass is not a good way to start rolling definitely
bidet?? lol who does that? how about just wiping your ass

I'm not sure if your comments are meant to be satire or you had a bad experience at a BJJ school?
Some schools have the unwritten rule that lower belts should not ask higher belts to roll.

@@jacobwalther5171 I agree with you. Seems silly to me that some schools do not allow lower belts to invite higher belts to train.

@@Robsinsane333 Good point.
Leave the chi ball techniques for the streets. They're too dangerous for the mats...
Too funny 😁
