I honestly want a game or story where the friend of "Guy who was shot for no reason other than to make the villain look intimidating" just shot and killed the actual villain after they did that, hey if Evil mc Badguy is allowed to do that why not everyone else?
Plot twist: You're the friend of "Guy who was shot for no reason", and "Villain" has been built up as a mentor/leader to you (the protagonist) up until this point, and you have to escape from the organization you've been a part of, after seeing your leader kill your closest friend and then you killing him.
The guy being shot clearly had still enough time to draw his own weapon and kill goldfishglass-John Snow.
if you're looking for an interesting COD single player campaign, go check out Black Ops 2, it also has some of the best zombies except for Die Rise and most of Buried
it could also be used to show how smart your villain actually is, if they get shot by their men for shooting one of their comrades for no reason and it turns out to be a fake, where the laser-armed satellite he was moving into position while monologuing fires on your position.

I mean... maybe but all the Halo "rip-offs" in this game aren't since the Pelican from Halo was based off the dropship from Alien... And it's the only design that looks similar to something from Halo... All the other designs look like space aircraft carriers or battleships. It's like if the USMC sued Ridley Scott for the USCM... It's just 4 letters and a dumb "they stole from Halo" argument/joke that has been re-used about 10,000 times since the game came out.

I'm here to counter this validation though the hitler comment towards the GoT actor was funny.
Call of Duty hasn't been the same since World at War because the series lost it's identity. The games used to be about the horrors of war, and how being the hero didn't always pay off. (ala the nuke scene from Call of Duty 4). But ever since Modern Warfare 2, the series has just been about you being some kind of Michael Bay action movie hero. But with some shock value thrown in. (ala the Airport scene in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2).
I think it's pretty ignorant and self important to say someone "hates something for the wrong reasons," it implies that one person's opinion supersedes another.

I also don't really agree that CoD4 is where Call of Duty lost its identity, for me that was the snow level in MW2. I think 4 demonstrated the horrors of war pretty well, with the nuke sequence and everything.

yea... so, here is the thing with the titanfall games. EA published the first two, but at the time they did not own (and thus did not have any real control over to an extent) respawn. however, they where recently brought out by EA outright, meaning EA now has the power as the owners of respawn to demand whatever they want. and if battlefront 2 proves anything, all they want is a shell of an experience that acts more as a perpetual money bin for them to collect from than an actual game.
Cause im not a fucking nerd, EA can do whatever they want. They just need titans and parkour and thats it.
They didn’t sell out they where being bought by a South Korean company and ea had the right to essentially bid for them and they won that bid war

+oTTer Sorry to say that the game will never be "dead". It has too much of a cult following and no matter what they do there will be kids buying the game. They could make it a trashy indie shooter and they would still make millions off of it. The game is a lot worse though for the Veteran community and the cancerous part of COD's community took down CS with them. The whole FPS industry is pretty much "dead".

Huge agreement here. Campaign lost all emotion when your character cinematically almost died, and Dark Quarry was the most fun mission by far, actually eliciting emotional outbursts from me as psychotic robots ran at me whilst avoiding sunlight. Online is okay, but as fun as jetpacking is, visually you look like a really slow man-shaped balloon to any viewing your stunts.

Damn, why haven't I subscribed to you before now? There are billions of amusing game review channels out there, but this is one of the very few that actually makes me laugh out loud on a regular basis. Your turn of phrase is Charlie Brooker-esque, which may not mean much to an American, but trust me, it's a compliment.
Looking back on this game, the only thing I really miss from it is the Specialist mode. It gave a different kind of difficulty and reminded us that space exists, making helmets destroyable while also making a somewhat believable damage system. No helmet and you get shot in the head? You're dead. If your arm gets shot enough you can't aim as good, leaving your weapon flail a lot as you try to aim and so on. Wishing that it went beyond Infinite Warfare but it never did, made the only thing I enjoy about the game when I borrowed this from a friend out of curiousity.
Hey, Shammy, love you work, subbed liked and all that fanboy shit, but I have a correction to make.
Your intro is pretty harsh on Infinity Ward and while it is warranted to a strong degree I think you're ignoring the massive, necessary disclaimer that a lot of the core members were forcibly fired from the company after releasing Modern Warfare, the majority of which went on to form Respawn and form Titanfall.
The drop in quality is pretty visible just in how the post release MW2 multiplayer was handled, I was kind of surprised to see you not note this in the video considering how awesome everything else holds together.
Yeah it was in the original script, but I removed it because I always stumbled over that bit because of how awkwardly it fit into the rest of the review and I felt it was more important to talk about the game's quality itself than the history of the studio. I stand by what I said though, there are a lot of *crazy* talented people working at Infinity Ward, and I legitimately don't think they should bear all the blame for the quality of their games when Activision keeps assigning them the hardest ones to make people like.
MW3 - IMO this sub-series peaked in game 1, but I felt a third was a stretch regardless and they had to make the game take itself seriously despite being fucking ridiculous plot-wise.
Ghosts - Complete technical overhaul of the game, given that (I think) this game was developed in 2 years it's honestly an insane feat that it even functioned, regardless of how much of a game-mechanical step backward it was.
IW - No one wants space Call of Duty, I don't think anyone has ever wanted space Call of Duty, but when that's what you've been assigned you just kind of have to cross your fingers and hope you can make it work.
I don't think they're absolved of all of the issues, obviously, it's still on them to deliver a good experience, but again, I don't think it's fair to the devs to rest the blame solely on their shoulders when there are larger factors at play that the players don't get to see that shape the games outside of their control. Just my 2 cents.

The last enjoyable campaign for me was Black Ops 2, Advanced Warfare had a decent story, and the movie like cutscenes were actually good. But bunny jumping ruined it. I really hope Cod WWII brings back a good story like the MW series

I thought it was because there wasn't any 'special features' information to give other than alternate firing modes. The thing that appears on-screen seems short, but I haven't played the game so for all I know they spend 5 minutes explaining several degrees of nothing.

i liked the single player campaign bc the space stuff, freedom of choice in missions, and all that, but goddamn you made me laugh so thank you. i think infinity ward had a great idea and executed it as well as they could before it was inevitably pushed out before it was done by activision.

I really liked the Reznov twist. Especially how if you play the game again you notice really suspicious stuff like him speaking to other soldiers but not the other way around, or soldiers being confused whenever Mason says things to Reznov.

5:06 is it just me or is the design of Ethan striking similar to the mrvns in the god tier titanfall series that its two games alone stomp any recent call of duty and most FPS games and especially battle Royale
