Morning Chris! I love watching it work. Wow! Hey....what's all this green stuff all over me? Oh, it's envy! LOL! Enjoy it!
Thanks, yes, it is an awesome machine and I am luck to get to use it!
Good morning Chris!!😀😀
Well you made me look pretty good for being a rookie. I came a long way from the first log to the last one.
Can't wait to come back and run it again if you will have me.
Thanks again and take care my friend!!😀😀👍👍
Logger Al
Nice work!
For a rookie 🤣
Enjoyed your attendance and putting a face to your comments
You did great, let me know when you want another play day and we can make it happen! Thanks again AL!
Yup!
Obviously all those years of playing video games have paid off!! You are a natural on the processor Al...a real smooth operator!👍
Thanks for your guidance with getting Chris rolling with this operation!🇺🇸
I could set and watch that machine run all day. It’s mesmerizing !!
You can watch the video and the next ones to come all day long every day!
Fascinating! Been waiting for this one. Looking forward to seeing the progression of processing and adjustments you’re making. Cheers!
You and me both!
We've all been waiting on the processor video and man, you sure gave us one. Over an hour with a guest star, multi-trailer load and some of your best video work ever. Well done.
Thanks Phil!
Chris, This is the video I've been waiting for. Nice work.
Great! lots more to come! THANKS!
Making firewood fast!! Great machine. Thanks for sharing Chris. 👍🏻👍🏻GNI
Thanks Todd!!
My friend Logger Al seems to have found a new best friend. Am thinking he'd love to bring that processor to his place to get his wood cut and split. He sounds like a kid in an all you can eat candy store! He sure enjoyed himself running that machine! The power of the splitter ram is unreal. It sure helps to have a 115hp Kubota powering the thing!
Yup, it is awesome for sure!
Great video of watching the processor work. Y'all did an amazing job. Have a Safe Day
Glad you enjoyed it!
In The Wood Yard with Eastonmade equals world class production outstanding! 👌🏻🔥🇨🇦
Yup, I have a lot to learn on the machine!
Be a great unit for your brothers customers. What a wicked machine. Thanks for the entertainment!
You bet it would!
I enjoy watching all your videos. I have watched your processor videos for hours. I'm a retired mechanical engineer and can really appreciate the process. Lots of work went into a machine like that. I've cut up plenty of firewood in my day but nothing like that. I'm pushing 80 and can't do much anymore, but it sure is good to watch it. Keep up the good work!
That is awesome! Thanks so much for watching!
Awesome to see that thing fired up! From the Glacier to the 22MB....
Yup, a bit of an upgrade!
Awesome video Logger Al and Chris! As with any new machine, there is a learning curve and trial and error period, learning what works, wedges included to get the size splits you desire is all part of the fun. Awesome processor to say the least. Great work Andrew, Eastonmade is top notch in my book. I am sure Kenny will be by to check it out and run it as well. 👍🏻👍🏻
Yup, I have a lot to learn for sure!
Morning Chris. That Processor is a Beast! The pieces that come off of that splitter are perfect for my Fireplace Insert, that heats my house🪵👍
Thanks 👍, yes it does a great job!
Love seeing the woodyard expand as you invest in it! I actually bought myself a woodprocessor, and it will definetly return its value.
Keep going for it Chris!
Yup, thanks Daniel!
Logger Al is great! Perfect guy to have over for this maiden voyage. You've come a ways from the day of beating the rail straight on the glacier to the Eastonmade.
You got that right Al is a pro!
It handles the little logs like toothpicks but what impresses me the most is how it deals with the big logs, makes short work of them. Amazing! Will save your back for sure and production will go through the roof!! You worked hard for this, now let the machine work hard for you. Enjoy!
Thanks, that is the plan!
This is what we’ve been waiting for, for a minute I thought you had Si Robertson instead of Logger Al. If that gnarly tree service wood went through it the poles should be a piece of cake. Nicely done. Cheers
Thanks Gerry!
Nice work Al and Chris. Lots of learning to be captured there. Once log loading size wise and wedge selection is taken are taken care of you will be flying with this machine
Thanks 👍 I have lots to learn.
Great Video this is a really nice machine has a lot of really nice features on it
Yes it sure does!
Very impressive. Glad for you buddy!
Thanks!
Andy at Eastonmade should be very happy with this video. You put that machine to the test and pushed that deck past its limits and it never missed a beat!. Great video. And lastly. ITS ABOUT TIME!. Lol
Yup, it does good work for sure! There will be more!
That is awesome never saw anything like it.If I watch to much I would have to clean drool off my phone.thank you so much for sharing your time and work Loved the video
Glad you enjoyed it, lots more to come!
Awesome show! Think about keeping your truck hooked up to your trailer,so you can keep the tractor freed up to move wood.
Yup, that is probably going to happen!
Nice wonderful day cutting, splitting and dumping Chris & Al.
Chris done forget Al gift for visiting In the Woodyard 😀🇦🇺
No I did not, Al got a wood award before he left!
@@InTheWoodyard that’s nice just checking...😀
Wow Logger Al makes an Appearance!! Love to read all his comments….
Thanks for bringing us along on your journey Chris!!!
More to come! Thanks!
Thank you for having a variety of people over to learn this machine. Every one is just a little bit different and so we get a different perspective from watching them. Now I understand why you took in all that "not so perfect wood. To see what they do with the irregular wood. I have an idea for helping the splits to clear the wedge: but maybe the engineers have already addressed this. Put "bosses" or "monuments" on the front of the pusher plate that stick out and push the splits farther through. It was interesting watching Logger AL work through the day, learning and adjusting his technique. Thanks AL and thanks Chris. And thanks Andy!
Yup, there is a big learning process for sure! Thanks for watching!
I think what puts the eastonmade above others (besides the ruggedness) is the roller and dump capability for cookies. Man oh man what a sweet machine. Your relationship with Andrew is the next best thing to winning the lottery.
Yes ans yes!
Nice work guys. I could see how Al was figuring out the efficiencies quickly and his methods changed from the start of the video to the end. I bet with another day or less on it he'd be flying through the wood very smoothly. Dave
Glad you enjoyed it! Yup, time in the seat is needed!
Wow Chris, just wow. Awesome machine. I see you doing a lot of resplitting and stacking soon. You need more wood!!
Thanks, yes and yes!
Wow that machine is impressive, I’m going to start saving towards one.
Go for it!
Good morning Chris congrats on getting a processor to demo 👍 That thing's awesome! I'm counting the actual functions at 10 x 2 ways = forward & reverse &etc... = Lots of functioning controls 🤯 That's going to take a lot of time for muscle memory to take over!
Yes, there is a lot going on up there!
Chris I like it I may have to get one lol. He was really making firewood processing look easy and I’m going to agree sure beats the chainsaw and the maul. Take care, Ben.
Thanks Ben, yup, it sure is nice!
Finally we get to see the processor in action
Yup, lots more to come!
I could watch this all day
That is a good idea, you should!
That processor is amazing! I think it'd be best to load the live deck from smallest to largest if possible. That way the wedge doesn't need to be lowered for smaller logs as you go only raise for bigger ones. Can really pump out the firewood with one of them. Next level production for sure.
That's a great idea! Thanks!
That is one impressive machine Chris. The splitter is insane, I don't think you could stop it. I think you guy's did great. Only thing left is experience running it and it will come in due time. Great video and I'm glad you gave us extra footage today to see it work. A big wooohooo out to you and AL. 👍🪵
Thanks a bunch Turk!
Amazing mesmerizing Great job 👏 You haven't even got the paint off it yet It will take some fine tuning Thanks for sharing Chris 👍
Thanks 👍, yup, I have lots to learn!
Nice movie Chris & Al. I had to stop for popcorn in the middle. You will master the controls and find ways to speed up / improve material handling, but will be running that thing in your sleep as a result. GNI
Sounds good! Was the popcorn buttered? mmmmmmm!
Awesome to see the processor getting a workout. Chris you’re in the chips now buddy. You’ll get your cardio in jumping on and off your tractor and stacking for weeks on end. Remember to pet your Husky’s once in a while.
Yup, it is a great machine!
Good to see the processor in action fellas.
Yup, lots more to come!
Never to long..... i enjoyed it ever second
Thanks!
Good video I enjoyed it I like that processor a lot of money set there
Glad you enjoyed and soon it will be running!
I’m tired from watching all the lever action and the learning process😀👍🏻. It’s a beast of a machine👏🏻👍🏻!
Thanks 👍
that’s nicer than the dyna for sure! my firewood competition buddy would have a guy by the wedge throwing the big splits back in to get split down smaller, but that slows down production so he would have the guy throw them over to a splitter and another guy split them into firewood size, basically the only problem with a processor…i bet your back feels terrific!
Yup, there does need to be some re-splits.
And the magic begins, Andrew makes nice toys , it’s a two operator machine, one of them is the tractor. Enjoy, keep on cutting
You got that right!
Looking good Al, hope you’re well mate.
Adam
Yup, he does good work!
Just amazing ! I think I talked to logger Al at Buckinstock a couple years ago. Have fun !
Hi Bruce. I think we did. I talked to a lot of people there that year.
Very cool!
Those are pretty good machines. It's about as close to my Blockbuster as you can get. Plus it helps to have nice processor logs !!
Yup, good wood is important!
That is an awesome machine
Yes it sure is!
Great machine chris, great work, but u need another wedge for smaller pieces.Go man go.👍👏👏👏👏🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
That's the plan! Thanks
Great video, fantastic machine. It’ll only get faster and faster with practice
Yes, and practice I need!
That ram cycle time is awesome. Luckily the operator had neck protection from the flying chips. lol.
Yup, it is a beast!
Sweet machine!
It sure is!
Great job guys!!!
Hi Andrew!!😀😀
On a scale from one to ten how did I do after about 4 hours of running it?
Be honest with me. I can take it. LOL!!
@@aldredske6197 I'm not Andrew but you were at 10 in my books! Great job. Dave
@@oakrunacres2564 Thanks Dave!!
@@aldredske6197 i would say close to a 9 1/2 lol
@@EastonmadeWoodSplitters Thanks Andrew!!🤣🤣👍👍
I'll do my best to take care of your baby!!
great video even though I will never be able to afford this unit it is still nice to learn.
Thanks, it is a great machine for sure!
Wow amazing!👍👍
Thanks!
Loved the video.. that machine is a beast! I mean what 30 men could chop all day long, in short order.. thanks for sharing.. from SE Texas Bear beards are what ALL Men use to wear..
Thanks for watching Barry! I see you have an award winning beard there!!!!!
Hey finally running the processor. Don't look like he's scared of it. Saves a ton of work
There isn't any kind of wood industry equipment that actually makes me nervous. There's just a learning curve with all of them.
Tanks my friend!!😀😀
Yup!
Yup, it will save a bunch of work!
Looks like you need 3 dump trailers...1 for the split wood, 1 for the sawdust and 1 for the cookies haha!
4 would be better, that way I could have one for deliveries!
@@InTheWoodyard The one with the most stuff at the end wins!!
I thought this was great , we got to see all the little details up close, well filmed!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
My momma always said Life is like splitting rounds.......you never know what your gonna get lol
Yup, my momma aid that too!
Morning Fellas, nice production, Awesome machine! Liked Logger Al with ZZ Top, the drummer, the one without the beard- his name is Frank Beard- go figure. When you go thru that crooked tree service wood, and sink your teeth into the straighter logger John wood she”ll really fly. Take care
Thanks Mike I hope so!
I don't know why, but I like Logger Al negotiating the not so pretty logs. Show the capability of the machine better. Most videos of these machines show the machine flying thru perfect stock. Good to see this can handle the cookies and nasty crotches if necessary. I thought that tree service wood wasn't gonna be worth it to you with all the extra work. This thing ate it up.
Yup, Al is a real pro, he knows wood!
Wow!
Looks like tree service wood is kinda of a pain. You can really make hay with the logs that are nice and straight and the same length. 👍🇨🇦
Yup, good wood will be nice and fast!
That’s an amazing machine Chris. The split size is definitely too large for your traditional customers. I’m thinking there is probably a wedge available to split smaller pieces.
Yes and yes!
@@InTheWoodyard C. no worries, I'll stop by and take what you don't want. Just right for me.
@@scottf6604 HA!
My goodness Al! You sure don’t get bored running that behemoth! Feel like coming to Nova Scotia and do a cameo on my channel? I can find you a machine to run! 😂
He just might!
A little tip for you, reverse your trailer back door towards the elevator so that the logs will be falling in the middle of the trailer that way the load will even out all the length of the trailer and you won’t have to level it from one side to the other 😜
Yup, I did that the next time you will see it!
Gunna be hard to hand this awesome machine back Chris .
Yup! Hopefully I can get a lot done before that happens.
I could watch this for hours just dreaming when my company will be able to obtain a machine like that one.a machine like that would take my bundle and wood bizz to the moon. hopefully one day
You should watch for hours! HA! And you should get one!
That first "cut" was more like a bit of wood being guillotined. Wow.
The first large diameter log through there was a bit of a wow moment too. The amount of wood from log to firewood in a few seconds :O
An hour in I was thinking I hope Chris has now learned to keep a nice neat deck to make it easier to process and then he makes a colossal mess. A few hours on the processor sure made a good pile of wood.
Yup, there is a big learning curve for sure!
RUclips needs to give Chris a super-Like Button, call it “Insane”
Ha! That would be cool! Thanks David!
Stupendous! Just put the word fun back in firewood. Still is alot of work I've found running my own processor by myself.
Great to kinda meet Logger Al
Yup!
He is a great guy!
@@jimrichards8703 Now you and others can finally put a face to the name.
Impressive production Chris , hopefully you have some help stacking this summer
Yes....ME TOO!
Very nice machine, I would look into the 16 way wedge for it tho to save the extra handling and re-splitting
Thanks, yes, I agree!
I like the camera angle at the top of the conveyor belt pointing down.
The guy you have as your operator catches on quickly.
That thing will definitely push out some firewood but it does look like some of those pieces will have to be re-processed they are a little too big.
Thanks, yup Al is a real pro! Yup, some resplitting!
Finally now I have a face to put with AL..
I See Al has a good sense of humor too..
Yup, Al is one of the good guys!
That machine looks like it would be challenging to get used to but Al made it look easy. I think you should hire Logger Al for a day or two a week. With him on the machine and you moving wood you two could process an insane amount of wood in a day! Obviously some pieces look a little big but I'm sure you already know that and you'll figure out an efficient way to get what you need.
Yup, he will be back! Thanks!
Can't wait to see that thing run when you get used to it
Me too!
that saw must have done some serious cutting that day
Yup, it is made to do that every day.
Great to see the processor working, I think you’re going to need a 12 way wedge to get those small pieces and reduce the amount of re-splitting. Thanks for the long video, really enjoy the time lapse 👍
Thanks for watching, yes a 12 or 16 way might work well.
Looks good Chris. I’m sure you will let us all know how much wood was processed in how much time…
You will be rocking that machine in no time…
I have lots to learn!
Looks like make lot wood in hurry. Looks like a two man job keep it going. Between loading the deck dumping trailer. Nice see that machine run. Have good day.
Thanks 👍, yup 2 people would be best!
Chris, that machine is pretty amazing, and I'm impressed at the power the hydraulic power the ram has. As you run it you will get better at controlling it. I would like to make one suggestion from my observation of it running. On the smaller logs could you try cutting several off and stacking them up in the splitter. This way you could split many pieces with one pass. Just a suggestion. I think I saw this done at one of the demos. That was the best thing Andrew could have done sending you that processor!
This type of processor were the piece roles across to splitter. Cutting more than one piece at a time doesn't work because the second one doesn't roll into the splitter chamber and just hangs up on the tip plate. If it fell straight down into the chamber then you could cut more than one at a time before you cycled the splitter.
@@aldredske6197 Thanks Al I didn't know that.
It sure is a great machine, the stacking is tricky, I will play with it and see if I can figure it out a bit better.
Yup.
That 22MB is going to really increase the output! I think you might need some more space to store all of the processed wood!
It looks like the processor will also make more scrap pieces/kindling, but the gain in efficiency will more than offset that.
Have you thought about your strategy with the processor? I was thinking that you could just use the single wedge to reduce the amount of waste, you could then offer larger wood for those who heat large homes (boiler slabs) and you can further process with the Ultra for the fireplace wood.
Is Andrew working on a stacking machine now? 😁
Yes, a lot to consider for sure!
Just a suggestion, but on your pulp wood you may want to consider lengthening your cuts by 3/8-1/2” to get rid of some of the shorts.
That is possible!
Those rollers in the splitting bay work well to properly orient the blocks. You are going to need a lot of pallets !
Yes and yes!
I love it. That pile of wood will be process in one day
Not likely! There is a lot of wood there!
Very well built and designed machine. I would like to see improvements to the wedge design to allow split pieces to clear the wedge. When it takes the next piece to push the split wood clear, that's when things can go sideways real quick. IMHO.
Yup, sideways is bad!
Chris I'm an old fan who just thought to ask "Hey, where's my wood guy!?! I don't know how I got unsubscribed, but I'm back. Now I got to catch up on weeks worth of content.........over beer and brunt hotdogs. Could be worse...no hotdogs??
Thanks for coming back!
Hey chris, with all your spare time you can rig up a drip oiler for the conveyor chain.
That is a good idea, I am not sure it is necessary, if it was needed they would put one on it.
You going to have plenty of help now. Everyone wants a turn to ride.
Yup, everyone wants to play.
Wow that thing is impressive 👍 Those are some pretty thin hinges on those big (Ash?) logs at 25:30. Those things must have been standing straight up and down and have been wedged over
Yup, it looks like it! Thanks for watching!
The one thing I've found to really increase your production once ya get some time on the controls is to load the logs smallest end first. You won't fight the wedge as much and it will keep it all moving along. I know everytime I train in someone else on loading the log deck I get to explain this over and over again. Nice machine tho. Not even making it grunt yet.
Thanks for the tip Jason!
What an absolute hoss! Any shady spots in the woodyard left? Might have to take it in the studio for some conditioned air. Now that would make for some videos
Should've had Ken and Tony down. Let all the kids play with the new toy
Tony already did and will again soon!
BEASTONMADE!
I like it!!!!!
I feel like this thing with 18” logs would get Ken’s Woodward filled up in a long weekend!
Yup!
Unreal! Crazy massive piece of equipment! Go Eastonmade! I am curious about the time it takes for the chainsaw cutter to actually reach the wood itself? It appears that is the slowest part of the process? Is that just the way Logger Al was choosing to operate or is that a fixed speed on the chainsaw arm lowering?
The speed is adjustable but constant, so you do not want it to fast while cutting especially in big wood.
Good morning everyone.
Hello Stanley!
