- Paul Bunyan Show 2023 didn't disappoint as we got our first look at the super impressive Easonmade 40C firewood processor! In my opinion this machine will be king of the hill at this price point. With a circular saw, full automation, a fuel efficient Yanmar 35hp diesel engine, and full live deck we were left impressed at every turn! Not to mention the customization of a 24ton 3 second cycle time splitter or a 37 ton machine with a 16 way bundle wood wedge as options! All of this at right around $100,000, what's not to love! Thank you to Andrew and the crew @EastonmadeWoodSplitters for the first hand demonstration of this unit!

That video turned out great guys
Thanks Andrew! It helps when you have a pro running the PROcessor.
Dang Heath!!!! You even got mommas blesssings 💪Time to upgrade to a prOcessor
Now I just have to figure out what I’m the future means lol. Think I may get in a little trouble if I showed up with one tomorrow.
@@hardworkingmanoutdoors easier to ask for forgiveness. I see it as Rachel giving the approval.
Thanks for the complete coverage of the 40c. Your channel is the only that gave the indepth description of this machine. Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day
Thanks David, I really wish we hadn’t lost our audio as Rachel and Andrew had a great conversation after the demonstration. Plus the circular saw sounds awesome. Appreciate the feedback.
Heath the Eastonmade sales Team! 😂🪵👍🏼🇺🇸
Thanks for watching guys, I was definitely impressed by this machine especially at the price point!
This is a very nice machine . Can’t wait to see it in your wood yard !!!
Del, that would be awesome.
Great video. Nice machine for sure. Have a great weekend team. 👍🏻🪵🪓👋🚜
Thanks Noel, have a great weekend as well.
Time to begin making room for a new PROcessor!!
I have some time, lol. Still have to do the kitchen!
hi there great look at the machine , thanks john
Thank you John. You should add one to the Woodyard! Then you could retire the second fastest splitter on RUclips. 😂
hi there i had rented 2 in the past thinking it would be faster and easier , wow was i wrong , The differance is the input wood and how you are going to stack ,sort ,stuff ,save the pot put wood , the in put and out put is most of the problem not the machine doing the work ,. the big thing about a proposer is it can do it for 8 hrs each day , i now am only good for 30 mins. john @@hardworkingmanoutdoors
@fricknjeep very good points, it’s definitely all about the entire process/system. You run a very efficient process.
Nice detailed video ! And the fact Rachel wants one of these processors in the wood yard ! You’re a lucky guy 😂
Thanks Tom, I definitely am a lucky guy. We’d love to add one some day!
@@hardworkingmanoutdoors welcome!
That 40c was sweet! I got the chance to see Andrew run it Saturday morning. Good explanation video on this prOcessor Heath 👊🏻🇺🇸
Thanks Todd, it is a sweet machine for sure.
@@hardworkingmanoutdoors Let me know when you get your 40c so I can come and run it🤣
@toddsoutsideagain will do 😂
It was a very impressive machine
Yes it is!
good video really nice firewood processor hope you can get one soon. take care, be safe and well.
Thank you, I’d love to add one some day!
AWSOME PROSSER, MUSTA BEEN WICKED COOL TO OPERATE, KEEP PUSHIN' ON GUYS... PEACE, FROM CREEL CHIHUAHUA, MEXICO...
Thank you, it was an impressive machine! Awesome to see in person.
Great review, I saw this machine last Saturday at the show but didn't get to see it running. Very nice!
Thank you, it was a lot of fun seeing this thing run.
Its a beast. I got to run it and so did my son. It will definately be the processor to beat in that size range.
Awesome great job!👍👍
Thanks Jeremiah. Maybe you can skip the commercial splitter and jump right into one of these!
You should absolutely get one of those and make lots of videos.
I’d love to, maybe one day we’ll get there!
Nicely done, always enjoy your videos, find them very informative as you make them fun as well. Can see you running your own one day,it would be a tremendous help. Cheers from Northern Alberta.
Thanks Gerry, we’d love to be running our own one day!
The 40C is the Best Electric Processor on the Market at $105,000 thats a lot of Money its worth it, you do not need to sit in the cab for along time that is a nice Machine that Andrew and his team have produced,
It is a sweet machine, it is a diesel powered into though. I wouldn’t be surprised if Andrew and his team produced an electric one some day though.
Very nice.
Thanks JB!
Thanks JB!
That thing would take a lot of wood to keep it running to pay for it's self, another great video guys
Yes, but I look at equipment like this as an investment. If they’re taken care of they usually hold their value pretty well.
@@hardworkingmanoutdoors
Depreciating investment.
The only way to make money from it is to produce.
Well guys, that 40C would look like nice in the HWM wood yard.
I agree but that’ll be down the road if we keep building! Definitely demands consideration though.
Great voice over
Thank you David.
Hi Heath and Rachel. I purchased 2 12 cord loads of ash. I kept close track of everything. I found we had around a 15 % loss from log cord to split cord. I am at the mercy of the logging truck to bring a true 12 loggers cord. So we ended up with a 4 cord loss or roughly 20 full cord of split wood. I think you will end up with about 50 face cords including scraps and cookies. Keep close track and let us know. I’ve heard of low of 10 and high of 30 percent loss. A lot depends on the honesty of the logger. See you guys next weekend. I’m looking forward to HFH.
I was thinking about there. Time will tell. See you in a bit. Should be fun.
Maybe you could buy it and have Rachel put it in her new kitchen. 😊
He promised the kitchen would get done in 2023, but I’m thinking that was fake news lol
Rachel your choice kitchen then processor or processor then kitchen
David, I’m thinking she’ll pick kitchen 😞
100% guys.
Thanks Kenny!
it is the best machine for 105K, but it is bested by the 70K Japa 405.
There are definitely some pretty impressive machines available these days.
is there a processor that you can load tree trimmers wood onto to process proper lengths? and split? tree trimmer wood is often shorter that regular logs that i recieve
I am not sure on that. We are just starting to learn more about processors.
So are you prepping the wood yard for one?
Curious if they’ll PLC control it? 🤔
Not quite yet but hopefully one day. What does PLC control it mean? You know technology isn’t my strong suit.
@@hardworkingmanoutdoors PLC = Programmable Logic Controller. Basically, it’s a computer of sorts that is used for machine control. Back in the day I was a controls engineer so I’d design controls for automated equipment, etc…..
@@backyardfirewood9852 it may be, you’d have to check with a legit Eastonmade rep to find out.
@@hardworkingmanoutdoors I’ll know when I watch your review of the one you buy!
I’ll stock some more wood
We’d need to!
@@hardworkingmanoutdoors I’ll get bored this winter I’m sure lol
I mean, it looks like a good machine, and build quality looks incredible it’s just not for me maybe if I had a wood yard and my own personal land, with a bunch of mature (15-22in) white oak, red oak, and post-oak it would be a different story
Aaaaaand you have to have other machines with hydraulics to help run this. Definitely a minni hoe and 50 hp tractor or a skid about that side
You mean Yellow Poplar...that's all they ever show them splitting when they demonstrate new fw equipment...
Lucas for sure. These processors like pretty straight decent quality firewood poles. Dealing with big trees, tree service wood etc. the HD commercial splitters are they way to go!
Not sure what type of wood this was. It was at the Paul Bunyan show. I do know that they were running some really tough splitting wood through their splitters. Definitely not poplar etc.
Looks like a machine for someone who wants to spend a lot of time making firewood. A machine like that is made to be used a lot. That is the only way to get good value from it. I don't have the statistics to prove it. I am only speculating. Obviously it is a medium-sized professional-grade firewood processor. I would be curious to know what the millimeter size is.
I don't remember seeing a 6-way wedge like that before. It is like an eight way on top and like a four-way on the bottom. Perhaps that is so it can be raised and used as a two-way, or lowered and used as a four-way, or in the middle as a six-way. Am I right?
When the value of the dollar drops by 50% the value of the machine will go up 100%. The more the dollar drops, the more the machine is worth. After a machine is used it is normally has less value than a new machine.
I can see how the feed trough is slanted to the backside to help with log alignment. I figured they put a belt infeed so the belt could slip and nothing would get hurt. I am not sure.
You already have a circular saw so you know they are better than the bar saws. I would rate the Ultra and 40c as their two best creations. Eastonmade is an innovative firm.
Very good points, it is definitely a professional grade machine. As far as the wedge design and circular saw dimensions I don’t want to give out bad information so I’ll let @Eastonmadewoodsplitters or someone else from Eastonmade answer. You also make a good point with inflation etc. the only time I’ve seen used machines sell for more than new are when supply runs out or wait times are too long. A lot of us like the instant gratification once we commit to spending a large sum of $$. I sort of look at my equipment as to what it owes me. So if I buy something for $10,000 and say produce a product and sell it for $7,000 I look at the machine owing me $3k. So in my mind if I could sell it for $8,000 after I used it I’d be $5,000 ahead. If that all makes sense. Once a machines cost is recouped it’s all bonus $$ from then on. Obviously there’s operation costs, etc. but the one thing you can never get more of is time!

It would help the reader if you used paragraphs the way I did.
Andrew described the blade in a video he made. It is 40 inches in diameter and a thinner style to reduce horsepower requirement. If the hub is 4 inches I suppose The cutting capacity would be 18 inches.
The machine rating would be the log diameter rating which would be given in inches that could be converted to millimeters. Now that I think of it, splitters don't have log diameter ratings. You are starting to learn more about processors..
You have a community of RUclipsrs and manufacturers with an interest in firewood production. How would you describe these people?
They are in a similar social and racial class. The education level would be about high school. Their parents or grandparents were rural, armed, Christian racists. After all, the name of one channel is Back 40. I have the same ancestral background.
One section of land is one mile by one mile which is 640 acres. A quarter section is 1/2 mile by 1/2 mile and is 160 acres. One-quarter of one quarter is 40 acres.
You-all are living on the fumes of the culture you came from. We are living in chaotic, uncertain and distressing times. The revolutionaries are thrilled with the prospect of victory. Civilization is about to be annihilated or reborn.
Firewood is probably a good investment for energy security. If you keep it inside, it will give you protection easily for 20 years or more. That is if you do not get evicted.
P.S. Return to your roots and be a counter-revolutionary. See the Wranglerstar short. He does not want his children fighting in any Middle East war.
So, as he is saying both hands on the trigger, or it will stop, and you cant put your hand in while its operating, the guy LITERALLY takes his hands off to adjust the log in the loading area, and the saw IS STILL rotating. LoL
The saw is rotating but will not come down and splitter will not advance. For the saw blade to stop spinning would be completely uneconomical. Pretty’s sure you can’t reach the saw blade from there.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂😂 thanks for watching!
