- If you want to see life in 1986 through the eyes of some high school kids, this is the video for you! Notice the police cars, the stores, the clothes...amazing we survived. We were visiting all the places we used to hang out as we prepared to become "adults" and leave high school behind.
Time 8:52 is where we visit the Caravan in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This time, Randy does not know a video is being produced loosely based on "This is Your Life" for his 21st birthday. More shots of everyone dancing and having a good time on a hot Friday evening in Tulsa. Please post if you see someone you recognize.
Please enjoy and show your kids. They have those things...what are they? Iphones!!! We had to rent this stuff back in the day! It just took us 30 years to get it on the Internet!

Brings back a lot of memories, Randy must be a lucky guy! Class of 83 here. I left for Arizona in 88, back to Oklahoma 2007.
He is still out in Mesa outside of Phoenix. I just moved here myself in 2023. Everyone loved Mr. Randy Good those days!! No place like the Caravan that is for sure!
What’s crazy is I stumbled across this while looking for punk rock documentaries. From 95-97 I pretty much closed down the Caravan every weekend and worked at WH Sears from 90-95. This was a welcome blast from the past.
That is great. Look for our Caravan Ballroom 80s Reunion page on Facebook
Ah...the rolled-up t-shirt sleeve good ol' days!
Or no sleeves at all! Funny what I caught on camera that night!
Man so many memories, Jason Nicholson, Brady Rosette, Billy Ray, the twins blue, I can't remember his brothers name, Shampoo hood, Shannon "4,11" broyles, so many memories, I can not tell you how many times I fought in that parking lot,
Those parking lot "get togethers" were the best!
Is this Dazed and Confused? 😀😀😀 Born and raised in Tulsa. But a 70’s kid and Memorial graduate. Went to the Caravan a few times.
Did you see anyone you recognized? There is another video as well. Not sure if you found it. Just kids having fun when the first "video" cameras were coming out. Rare then...common place now.
OMG!! Back when Woodland Hills Mall had a pet shop and Caravan wasn’t country!! Wish I go back to this!! 1980’s!! LOVE THIS!! Thanks for the upload!!
Thank you Amber! This video is like a time capsule! Enjoy!
@@markmcnitt Hi!! Do you remember Images Night Club, a teen club, I believe, not sure how it was spelled, but I believe it was over by where Wood Craft Furniture was and Huggie Bears or something?? My older sister is 9 years older than me and I remember going to Images with my dad to pick her up.. I remember me going in with my dad, I believe he put me on his shoulders so I could see and I was in such awe!! All the neons and All She Wants To Do Is Dance was playing.. I remember I couldn’t wait to go, but it wasn’t around once I became old enough..
So cool! I was born in 94 in Tulsa. But seeing how it used to be makes me want to go back in time! Thanks for the upload!
OMG!!! I sure hated it when the Caravan went country.. I loved those days!! Thanks for the amazing video!!! Clark Edison '87!!! OMG Greg Koszack!!!
Hahaa this is priceless.
The Caravan had to change with the times. But we will always remember the rock n roll!
I went to the theatre in Woodland Hills back in '85 to watch Back To The Future, I saw "Octopussy", "The Dead Zone", Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Midnight Run, "Firefox", Motherload - Charlton Heston, "Popeye", Gremlins, and a string of other classic movies at other locations in Tulsa including Southroads Mall.
Fun to catch those places in the video. Its like a time machine.
I swear to you I think I saw the old me at about 12:45 on the video.
OMYGOSH, just came across this on youtube!!
Jimmy Lollis♥️ those were the days, oh the old caravan😁 good times:)
I hear a lot of people finding this are showing their kids. Who knows...you may be "cool" after all! 🤪🤪 Thank you for checking in.

Lol, my kids are 40 and think I'm silly, grandkids think I was a part of Fast Times @ Ridgemont High. This could be my own home movie, we were rock stars😁 such a blast to go back and observe! Thx for posting:)
Sweet! 6:28 71st and Memorial. Chi-chi's! Rad little tex-mex pub my parents would take me to that had tabletop arcade games.
Miss those places!!
I ran around at the Caravan from 1984 to 1991
We likely spoke at the DJ Booth!!
This video rocks!
Man people’s hair is fantastic
Damn I remember me and my buddy doing a power stall after closing time in front of that sign filling the whole parking lot with smoke then as soon as we left the parking lot and got out on the street, we went to jail, he got a dui and I got a public intox😂
Holy shit , rock music at the caravan ‘b
My old High School. Not very many windows in that building. In my three years there had one class with a window, Coach Lefler's Accounting class.
It was a crazy design for a high school!
Hahaaa, LOVE IT!!!
40 years ago woe
Awesome video! Looks like a fun time. What's the song playing at 9:15 ?

Doing well these days in Phoenix AZ!
Wet T-shirt contests and rock and roll.
Talkin' 'bout my generation.
+David Burns is gettin' down at 15:40 !!!!!
You can see me at 14:24 in a red shirt.
He was holding down the fort!
I graduated Bixby back in 86. That’s when memorial used to be a two lane starting at 91st. My how things have changed.
