Man that hit a lot too close to home So apparently I made this comment over a year ago. To explain, I was exposed by a guy who I thought was my friend when I was 16 going on 17, he was 19, knew him for about a year and a half. I was already going through crap, and we were video chatting. That Monday, my friends told me my pic (that I didn't even know he took) was going around in the period before. After that, I had a depressive episode for about two months. My main regret was not seeing the signs and not asking for help instead of just venting. There were times when we'd talk on the phone and he said or showed something that made me uncomfortable, with our mutual friends laughing the background because they thought I was fine with it. I wasn't. He got mad when I called him a creep, and I didn't want to lose a "friend", so I tried to joke along. Please, try to speak up for yourselves. And if your "friend" gets mad at you for having boundaries, they are not your friend. Cut them out however you can. Also, it can hurt, believe me. But with time and support, it can be easier to bear. Lean on those who love you.
It legit does. Granted I only knew them for a year. But after a night of drinking with friends I woke up to them groping my leg and then like trying to finger me....
@@702d02 It doesn't matter if it's unfunny to you. There's no reason to be a rude person over simply not having the same type of humour. How do you people not understand common sense? Seriously, It's fine if you don't find something funny, but don't start calling people "losers" just because they're not like you. You're bullying by calling people names, and that's not okay.
This really hits home because I've been recently harassed at school by someone who I considered a friend. I cut him out from my life and I will never forgive him.
Same, and the fact they manipulated me and gas lit me to make me feel like it was my fault just still triggers me till today. The so called "friend ship" is over anyway but I'm still quite frustrated that I didn't stop it before they went to far.
As an animator, I clicked this expecting a cheesey, overly-dramatic PSA, but this was actually really well done. The storytelling (even the fourth-wall break) feels realistic/natural, and the animation and art style is pro-level. I hope teens get to watch stuff like this in schools. Great message executed in a professional and interesting way. 10/10
I remember seeing my schools PSAs that were overly cringe and bad acting. One was based on suicide that a friend forced a student to get help instead of talking to them before actually attempt to get help. You don't force a suicidal person to get help. Dear lord, it was awful.
…rewatching this a few years later makes me wanna vomit. This is exactly word for word how my relationship with a best friend of mine was. Even the final hang out and him being weird. Only difference is I didn’t stand up for myself. I endured it until I went home and the next day talked to my counselor. Proud to say I blocked him right after sending a long text letting him know just how awful of a person he was and how he made me feel. Haven’t seen him since and I hope he’s somewhere rotting. Stay safe you guys💕 Feeling like this is not worth it for anybody at all.
@@heavyweaponsguy6284 They are using the most common example of a Man abusing (or attempting to) a Woman. You can still identify the signs shown in the video though and it applies for everyone.
A good friend, a REAL friend, would notice you're uncomfortable. A REAL friend would understand when you say "we're just friends". Not get mad or angry when you say no. Edit: what the hell happened here
My friend didn't notice... He groped me for two years straight and was encouraged to do so by some jerks he hung out with at the time... 😞 Edit: Okay, so I see some people questioning me, so I'll go more into detail: I did try to stand up for myself, multiple times, it all started in 5th grade and whenever he groped me, I would run after him and attack him. He thought it was funny to make me angry to the point I was violent because he thought it was 'cute.' I even started bullying him in an effort to make him stop. However, no matter what I did, the teachers always took his side and I got into trouble (FYI: they never witnessed him doing it). I even opened up to my friends about it, however they always excused his behavior because "groping people was a guy thing. It's just what guys do." I started to feel hopeless, like nobody could help me. Then, I finally opened up to my parents about it and they were PISSED, they didn't allow him to come over for a long, long time. Then, after he stopped doing it, he and his sister tried to gaslight me by trying to convince me it wasn't him who did it, it never happened, and my mind was just making me think it was him. They gaslit me about almost every single shitty thing I remember them doing. I questioned my own sanity for a very long time. He died last year and I recently dropped his sister. I finally found the strength to realize I don't need these toxic people in my life, even if it means loosing my friend group. Edit: I forgot to also mention I was forced to live with my religious grandma, who was emotionally abusive and if I didn't behave a certain way, she threatened to take me and my little brothers away from our parents or take our dad away. So, it was very hard opening up to her about anything and I'd get scared to tell her certain things because she'd go off. I was also being abused and bullied by other kids and I reported about what they were doing to me, however nothing came of it. They didn't do anything about it either. The principal also had stuff against my family because of something my great grandma did, so I suppose that played a role as to nothing was done about the bullying or my friend. So, when we entered middle school, I had the mindset that the adult school authorities just didn't care enough to do anything about it. My friend was a part of a gang (the boys encouraging him were part of that gang) and whenever I stood up for myself (verbally or physically) all they did was laugh and continued doing it. By the time we got into middle school, I was living with my parents, but I still had the mindset I did while living with my grandma, despite my parents being loving, kind and understanding, so it did take me a while to open up. He also stopped touching me once he left the gang he was a part of and actually became a better person, in the sense he no longer touched women without their consent, not in the sense that he gaslit me constantly.
This video sends a really great message, but there’s another thing it needs to talk about. Sometimes the abusers won’t say sorry. They’ll get more aggressive and might hurt/force something onto you. If you’re feeling unsafe, bring something you can defend yourself with just in case. Please stay safe everyone
Andrew is probably one of those fat ugly incel. Because if he wasn’t she would’ve jump into his arms. And so would I. And so would you. Let’s be honest, if the guy was hot enough, it’s not assault, it’s rough foreplay ;)

I'd kinda disagree. You don't fell awkward only when it somes to being abused. You sometimes can feel uncomfortable becouse someone smells bad, says some cringy shit or something. It doesn't mean you have to get the fuck out.
@@mzflighter6905 when I mean uncomfortable, I mean if someone is touching you or saying curd things to you. That kind of situation, you should either tell them to stop or try to get out the situation quickly.

well i respect your opinion but in my opinion andrew tate doesn't care about sex or kindness, he just wants to stop the rising growth of the power of women and reach total stability.

Here's my story with a situation similar to this -- you are not alone guys!! There was this one male friend I knew in school. He was nice, extraverted, friendly, and we would always joke around in class. I felt especially more comfortable around him because I was a bit more introverted, and he knew how to make conversations flow and be funny. One day, we had that class after lunch, and I brought a banana with me to class. This day he was acting so weird, something I've never seen from him before. All of his jokes were really sexual and I was feeling uncomfortable, but I was laughing anyway because I felt I would make it weird if I didn't. He took my banana and put it in his lap and was fake masturbating with it under the classroom table while looking at me (in my school, the classroom had one oval table all the students would sit around). He kept asking me to look at him when he was doing it. Anytime I looked away, he would stop doing it, and would ask me to look again at his lap under the table to him fake jacking-off. I continued fake laughing because I felt uncomfortable. After him doing this multiple times, I said in a half-joking, half-serious way, "You are being weird". But he responded by saying, "Am I?" in an amusing tone and kept doing it. Then he look the banana and rubbed it against my upper thigh under the table. I immediately stopped him and put the banana on top of the table. Because I was really uncomfortable, I laughed even harder and buried my hands in my face. This caught the attention of the teacher (who by the way was teaching the entire time this was going on). She asked "what's going on over there?" and he just responded, "(my name)'s banana". At the time, I blamed myself for this happening because I was laughing at it like I was inviting him to do it. In reality, a man should know boundaries and you are NEVER to blame. You are not weird or a buzzkill for speaking up when you feel uncomfortable! Let's love ourselves and give ourselves the respect we deserve!!! love you guys

I make a lot of sexual jokes with my friends- and these videos made me realize I should ask for their consent before making any kind of remarks- I often expect them to think it’s okay since it’s so normal between us... of course I’d never do anything (I’m asexual and not looking for anything) but I don’t want to make them uncomfortable- I feel bad. Definitely gonna work on communicating.
Yo, just wanted to say, It's a really nice decision. How you try to reflect on yourself and check whether your doing something wrong really shows that you care about your friends. It might just be a joke, but it's not gonna hurt to ask. Do it
Yeah, same here, I would NEVER EVER EVER want to abuse my friends and if I knew it would make them uncomfortable I would stop. Today I joked about something like that and I was so scared I groomed/sexually assaulted them.
This happened to me a few days ago. I am 13 years old and my guy best friend, made me uncomfortable and tried to touch and kiss me. I felt like crying because he wanted to take it too far. Thankfully, I told my mom about it, and she really supported me. He apologized to me, saying that he was a weirdo and feels bad about it. I forgave him, but I am not going to talk to him anymore. Girls who are in their teens should be extra careful and there is nothing wrong in voicing out your feelings and breaking friendship with someone who makes you feel unsafe and uncomfortable. Friends are supposed to respect your decisions, not take advantage of you. This video really helped me out!!

This is a good reminder that we don't owe anybody more like our body, If this was shown in my school everybody would've been saying "EEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!"
These stories are well animated and well written with stuff that actually happens to young men and women. Like it hurts to watch because it is so realistic. Thank you for this.
2:29 there is another abuse happening behind them the teacher and the poor girl. . you know the teacher dating the minor. It's wild how we never noticed it but this shows how abuse is everywhere
There's ways to tell long-time friends that you like them. Touching them is *never* a respectful or viable option. *Never.* Thank you for making this video.
As a person who has a friend like this who repeatedly say sexual stuff even tho I said I felt uncomfortable and touch me and sometimes even ''accidently'' touch my boobs, I really love this story. Remember just because their your friends doesn't mean they can touch them without consent and don't be afraid to set boundaries and if they don't obey them it's better off leaving them.
Having sex with your friend and stay being friends is fine but if you will have both sex you must have each others consent,Not just because of your thought that its okay.
As soon as Andrew tried kissing Laura it INSTANTLY made me uncomfortable and especially when he tried playing it off YALL, don’t be scared to tell a trusted adult if u feel uncomfortable with situations.
These videos helped me recognize that I was being sexually assaulted by a kid in my choir class. We had just met that year and I didn't know him well but we quickly became friends. As soon as I met him I knew something was off but I thought it was just because I didn't know him. My friend was quarantined most the year so it was mostly just me and him. Our 1st semester we really didn't sing and my teacher was always in her little office so we just talked about stuff and he started to get touchy he would play with my hair, grab my bra strap, ask to tie my hoodie strings (may I remind you my hoodie strings lay on my chest) and right before Fallbreak I told him he was a flat out creep and he needs to leave me alone. Then he would sit across the room. 2nd semester we got 2 new girls. Now he would look me up and down and lick his lips. We've told the councilor about it multiple times but made no effort to try and help. One day he was calling me a ho* and saying disgusting stuff, so I told him if he laid his hands on me again I would either sue, file a police report, or take him to court. Luckily it's summer so I don't have to deal with him for awhile but next year I'm not gonna be so nice.
3DEMON AGREED!!!!! The animation is beautiful, this would be perfect to be shown in a health/personal development class when they talk about domestic and dating violence
If Andrew was more upfront about his feelings and told her, even if she didn't feel the same way, they could have still stayed friends. The primary issue with Andrew's behaviour was that he felt entitled to her body and her affection. Nobody is entitled to anyone else's body and affection. Not even married couples can do that stuff without mutual consent. Communication is key.
yeah this hit close, not a friend but a boyfriend, especially not wanting to lose him. please, if you're suffering from sexual abuse or unwanted advances, whether at the hands of someone you do or don't know, please inform someone. if not parents, then teachers, if not teachers, there's helplines that will deal with it for you Also, the frame where she walks into the light after confronting Andrew was really good!
If the guy is older than 14, you being his girlfriend.. You picking him taking him away from other girls that would be more likely to do him, taking away his opportunities. He will feel trapped in relationship, if he left you because you reject his slightly touchy advanced with no intention of sex he will lose confidence. You women dont realize the situations you put men through. Andrew in this story his best friend being a girl makes other girls stay away or think they hook up.
@@mariae6041 What attracted you to him? Body or personality? In the case of best friend is girl, other girls see that, makes him less approachable or more likely to get rejected by other girls. If this best friend girl is spending so much time with him it takes up opportunities to talk to other women, because she is always there. So when teenager goes to make his moves there is nobody else. Thats how you get the depressed guy having his best friend who is a girl comfort him about not having relationship or "you will meet somebody". But then the best friend girl gets jealous of the time he spends with new girlfriend and wants that same treatment where she didnt before. The girlfriend will also get jealous of the best friend.
truth be getting told he made me really happy and i never hung out w him otherwise. his humor was the first thing i was attentive to. i just started to text him and told him that i wanted to be friend. i asked him out and he rejected me. he asked out one of my friends and she denied him and they never hung out. so for revenge he asked me out and i said yes. i didn’t know this beforehand
Laura you did the right thing telling Andrew that you are best friends and that he should never abuse you if his parents found out what he was doing to you he would be grounded for a month ❤
And this is important because this touches many "why" people are forced to say "yes" or nothing even when they want to say no. People usually says after a sexual abuse "you should had to say no" "it's too easy to say no" BUT HELL NO, sometimes people feel like they owe something, or are manipulated to accept. I hope with this people understand that IT'S NOT YOUR FAULT IF YOU WEREN'T CAPABLE TO SAY "NO".
Andrew= friends cant be friendly? Me= oh honey that’s far from friendly edit- tf! i thought i would get like 10 I got so many this is the best day ever i cant belive the highest number of likes ive ever gotten is 26
@@reeetawd But what Andrew is doing is not okay tho. He's making "harmless" sexual advances of which she's not okay with and has said no to. At that point if he's still continuing, it's not okay. So yes they should show it in schools to show that this type of behavior after you said no already is not okay.
This is important. Especially for survivors… As someone who said no and still got violated I need to see more examples of when it works because once you have an encounter like that… it makes you want to give up.
These are amazing and helpful. it's not too cheesy and the artstyle is nice. I wish I had these in highschool. everything she felt i felt. but I didn't say no...
Just here to remind you that just because you didn't say "no" or fight back does not mean it was your fault. Yes, ideally, you should fight back. Sometimes, they'll back off, but sometimes they won't. Either way, you didn't do anything wrong. No one is entitled to make you uncomfortable whether you say "no" or not.
This is good lessons, teachers should put these videos so kids and teens know what to do in a situation like this. The team who made this video are life changing! Keep it at it

Edit: Okay, so I see some people questioning me, so I'll go more into detail: I did try to stand up for myself, multiple times, it all started in 5th grade and whenever he groped me, I would run after him and attack him.
He also stopped touching me once he left the gang he was a part of and actually became a better person, in the sense he no longer touched women without their consent, not in the sense that he gaslit me constantly.

nice guys be like: "idk why girls only like awesome people and have their own feelings, instead of nice guys like me, i mean i smell and im a complete disaster but ill treat her right"
Here's my story with a situation similar to this -- you are not alone guys!!

@Unknown-user instead of update just ask politely, like "hey hows ur situation rn? is he still doing that?"
My number 1 rule: You dont owe anyone anything. Especially not things you're uncomfortable with.
I'm gonna go tell that to my jewish friend
Unless you owe them money?
@@toaster83 that's different

I love how all the stories and videos are connected with hints as well.
Like how clay is in the background
I can’t be the only one thinking that I like the animation art right?
I was thinking the same thing
It's definitely professional
I love the animation, That's why I'm watching these again. They should show these in schools.
3DEMON AGREED!!!!! The animation is beautiful, this would be perfect to be shown in a health/personal development class when they talk about domestic and dating violence
Honestly I agree I'm 2 old 2 be watching these. but the animator in me is impressed on how these videos look.
@@marysia5365 f your mouth shut
yeah this hit close, not a friend but a boyfriend, especially not wanting to lose him. please, if you're suffering from sexual abuse or unwanted advances, whether at the hands of someone you do or don't know, please inform someone. if not parents, then teachers, if not teachers, there's helplines that will deal with it for you
Also, the frame where she walks into the light after confronting Andrew was really good!
I went through the same thing with a romantic relationship. it took me such a long time to heal again. thank you for posting this.
Andrew in this story his best friend being a girl makes other girls stay away or think they hook up.
truth be getting told so you’re saying his touchiness with full knowledge he is making the other person uncomfortable is okay?
Yes agreed
Not if you want to…
Andrew= friends cant be friendly?

I know gamer girls who talk and act exactly like “Andrew” I’d just like to note this PSA goes for everyone
Agreed but this was just an example
Yes
It goes for EVERYONE it’s just an example
Yes Andrew, I completely agree with your statement, Andrew.
ANDREW?!?
my respect to the Girl who Genuinely stood up and educated people really well: 📈📈📈📈📈📈
This needs to be broadcasted as a whole commercial because this stuff is real
Yes they need to teach kids (girls especially) that harmless sexual advances like Andrew did was not abuse.
@@reeetawd But what Andrew is doing is not okay tho. He's making "harmless" sexual advances of which she's not okay with and has said no to. At that point if he's still continuing, it's not okay. So yes they should show it in schools to show that this type of behavior after you said no already is not okay.
Maam and u need to become a reporter on this ( ˘ ³˘)♥︎
Bootifel
This would be a PSA, not a commercial. But I do agree with Yvung on this one.
That’s why boundaries are very important in friendships including relationships. There always needs boundaries regardless to whom you’re close to.
Why is this so goddamn realistic, like the f*ck
BRO DISCORD TO TF
ikr like what the f*ck bro-
John-a-thon
OMG YEA ITS SO REALISTIC LIKE THEY INCLUDED DISCORD?!??! AND DISCORD IS IN REAL LIFE TOO?!?! NO WAY THIS IS REAL LIFE
This is important.
But now you know you can say no!
Nice Satori pfp! Also oh geez.. I'm sorry if something happened to you.
'its not too cheesy'
Andrew:hey you wanna play forknife?
Just here to remind you that just because you didn't say "no" or fight back does not mean it was your fault. Yes, ideally, you should fight back. Sometimes, they'll back off, but sometimes they won't. Either way, you didn't do anything wrong. No one is entitled to make you uncomfortable whether you say "no" or not.
Did you guys notice that the two guys that were playing with them in the beginning were also victims of Sexual Abuse in the other video?
Oh yeah, I'm starting to feel bad for this group of friends
Laura looks a character who should be in Overwatch. She looks a bit like Tracer mixed with Mei.

This is good lessons, teachers should put these videos so kids and teens know what to do in a situation like this. The team who made this video are life changing! Keep it at it
