It's clear this is actually becoming enjoyable for you, rather than when you first started where it was more just a hobby and may not have been as enjoyable to share your thoughts. Thank you for sharing! Edit: I know we've talked about the name you have. I was curious if you have thought about shortening it to "Tactics Live" instead, just for the ease of searchability. Tournament is a long word and doesn't seem to really have much validity in the overall point of the channel.
It should be noted that unique characters almost always have much better stats and growth on their job that replaces Squire. Yes, that includes Ramza. That means getting Ramza, Agrais, Cid, Beowolf, and possibly Balthier to 99 on their base job is optimal.

I’m doing it now, and she has excellent HP bonus, and decent magic power bonus. Her attack is okay & speed is average. I have tynar rogue equipped & iaido to mitigate her shortcomings.
nah only for some character balthier, reis and to some extend maybe orlandeu or meliadul the rest you go with ninja, simply because 2 or 3 point speed do make different than 3 point pa/ma if you going to do delevel trick then i guess it didnt matter as long you dont leveling up with chemist/dancer or bard
Best uniques to level in their base classes are Orlandeau, Meliadoul, Beowulf, Reis (human) and Cloud. All of them will get good growth in HP, PA and except for Meliadoul, MA as well. Some a bit better than others of course but still better than average. Balthier has excellent speed and HP growth in his base job, but just average PA growth. Agrias should absolutely be leveled up as a Ninja (Speed/PA) or Knight or Dragoon (HP/PA for both jobs). Her base class has a great HP modifier for final stats but just average growth stats across the board. So for growing her PA, Speed or HP, you're better off going Knight/Ninja to level up.
After watching jasej7 and seen the background gameplays of his characters with 999 stats to brave 97 - faith 0 many months ago about this hidden stats gain topic that I didn't even know exisited until now I've witnessed what the table of context on how to grind for these stats through the de-levling and re-leveling process... Thanks for this content after a year ago that I was searching how to recruit special characters.

Thanks Igor! I don't have a video with actual leveling to show results, but I do plan on making one in the near future. For PVP you will want to use an emulator and a service to connect you with another user. I recommend ppsspp and zero tier network for these. I do have tutorials on getting set up in an FFT Tutorials playlist, I would start there. 👍
Man, i did this alots when i was kid and play the PSX FFT, leveling Ramza until level 40 as a Ninja, Deleveling to 1 as Math a few times, them i level him as Mimic to level 10, Delevel as Math (like 3 times), then he become like a "Super Ramza", very high speed, HP and AP, my focus was speed, he was so fast, he even beat Orlandu's speed(Orlandu with Excalibur) on his normal speed.
Last for this session of watching this particular video. Don't HP/MP stay regardless of whether you de-level, to an extent? Obviously, they lower no matter what. I thought that once you max them out, they'll be maxed at level 99 no matter how you level up.
If you get the raw stats high enough it will take longer to bring down from max - but I think theoretically your hidden stats can go up infinitely. You got the idea 👍

If you have access to a PSP with the WotL disc you are in luck and can follow along! The original PSX version does not have multiplayer unfortunately. Otherwise there are mobile versions for both iPhone and Android. I am excited for you to discover the world of Ivalice!
I just started playing the game myself. I started the game on my iphone and switched to the ipad mini. playing it on the ipad is probably the best way i have played it so far. the controls are a bit of a learning curve, as you can scroll up and down list by swiping anywhere and tapping anywhere to enter the command. then directly touching the squares that you wish to select when moving or targeting with a character. There is no control support for the phone versions though :/ hope you enjoy this game as much as i am right now. cant put it down
WotL is a remake with things added, just play WotL unless you specifically want the nostalgia of the old translation and glitches (e.g., JP Glitch or duplicate sword glitch).

There is a levelup simulator for FFT that you can search for online that will give you accurate stat growth to figure out just what you're looking for. Having tried it myself to level Ramza as a Ninja to 99, then delevel to 1 as a Bard, then back again: I gained 2 SP for each delevel and re-level. So, probably a crap ton! 💀
Need some help confirming stat growths specifically speed Which is more efficient for stat grinding? Deleveling - Releveling 1-99 or 1-50 This mostly due an old forum post about a 1.70(ish) to 1.05(ish) % efficiency claim at speed stat growth at levels 1-50 Rather than going for 1-99 1.70(ish) to 0.85 %(ish) growth (Assumed class used are Ninja lvl up & bard lvl down)
After repeated tries, I got 999 HP and About 900+mp but the speed one really does slowly increase and I usually do it with level 99-1-99. Will using Ramza's Tailwind affect the Speed Stat you get if I use it on him he is the one I want to increase the speed off which is now 20 at 99. Also, will the stat growth of his unique Squire class change each time his pictures like how his chapter 1 pic changes in chapter 2 and that changes in chapter 4 Sir? Also does Bequeath Bacon count as a Death Toll or not like poaching your own monsters in battle?

The delevel relevel trick also works great on specific unique characters, such as Reis (human form). She has the best stat growths in the game as her Dragonkin base class, which you can level up to 99, then delevel back down to 1 as a Dancer. Personally I don't like her base class's abilities, she's probably best suited as a Ninja with Brawler and high Bravery and low Faith.
You will need to use a character with the Beastmaster passive skill and have them stand next to the Mindflayer to unlock the ability, but otherwise yes this is a viable option to de-level a unit. 👍
Heads up for those playing FFT Tweak. Read the readme file. There are changes to growth stats across the board. For example, you now need to de-level as an Onion Knight, not Bard/Dancer.

You're good, it's a strange mechanic at first glance! The stats do go down, yes. This is the reason to de-level with units that have poor growth, so the drop is small. 👍
Awesome video! I wish they had allowed the Wild Boar trick with the Onion Knight to transfer into WOTL... It sucks to find out about such an amazing stat growth option and then not be able to use it.
This video was made using FFT:WotL on PSP. I can confirm that the Wild Boar level up trick for Onion Knights works! It is hardly worth the effort, as it will take more than one cycle to get huge stats, but the growth rate is notably higher in some areas.
Best process I found for Boar Onion 8 leveling is to have 1 char like agrias who can solo all stages so you can do 3 boars at a time. Still a lengthy process.
Started a solo Ramza run and am working on this so I don't over level the storyline to much. I'm not planning on Mac everything but I think like 10 speed at level 1 will be a huge ease to the game without breaking it like having 50 speed
If you only want to do this once, you might as well have Ramza level up then as a Mime also for the PA/MA/Speed. If you really only want MA, then go with a Wizard (Black Mage) or Summoner. I'd recommend the Mime personally though, especially if you ever want a hybrid physical and magical attacking Ramza

@@SatriaDermawanAuth Sounds like you have the gist of it, EL! This process is entirely about your stats, and less so about learning abilities from the Jobs. It will take a few cycles of leveling to 99 and de-leveling to 1 then back to 99 again to max out your stats, so be warned this is for the super serious player! 😬

From what I read NO Raw stats still determines your speed growth So if you starting speed 6 (lvl 1) then it will take longer to level up but as you build up stats you do get the boost Once your base speed stat is at 20 lvl1 (afaik) you will notice your speed stat will increase In growth faster i.e within 3-5 lvl ups 13- 17 is optimal for most generics (17-18 for dragoons jump specifically) past 21 is overkill since you also have haste buff and other speed boosting equipment
Does this means that the stats can grow up infinitely, or this trick is more for optimization of the stats? The first lvl up of the characters can be done with any class?
At a point, the final stats will max out and further accumulation of raw stats will be useless. You are most likely to get 'past' 999 HP as a final stat with your raw stats, but the game won't show it or give you 'extra life'. It will take a loooong time to do this for Speed, PA and MA which all have much slower growth rates (especially Speed), though their maximum final stats are 99. I'm not sure what you mean by your second question, but what I think you might be asking is if you were to de-level down to level 1, can you start with any Job to re-level to 99? The answer to that is yes!
Definitely! With a Mediator (Orator), you can Invite (Entice) any of the Squid type enemies, and let them lay eggs. Eventually you'll get a Mind Flayer. You can also directly invite a Mind Flayer if you find one in a random battle

You can re-trigger the same trap - it's best to use the Teleport movement skill and intentionally attempt to move beyond your range so that you keep setting off the trap. Reason you want to use Chemist to de-level is their growth stats are worse, and they aren't as slow as Arithmetician so it makes the grind a little better. 👍

"The best way to grow stats is to level up in a job with good growth, then de-level through the degenerator trap or enemy abilities as an Arithmetician, then re-level as a good stat growth job." So the arithmetician should have a de-level skill, right? Or that was what i understood. Other thing... "If the character does not have the Treasure Hunter ability or a low enough Bravery stat, traps will cause negative status effects." If i try the trap should i avoid that skill or character with high bravery?
I want to try this but, having to level as a mime....ugh! Only easy way i see to do it, is level only 3 at a time. Kill all enemies ,but speed and power break the last. Then spam spin punch, potion and chakra to keep the mimes healed and leveling.
Hi Fukimo, thanks for checking out the content! You do not need to be lv99 to begin your de-leveling, but waiting until then will give you more noticeable results, and the re-leveling will grant larger bonuses if you go from 99 down to 1 and back again.
This game is bad for my health. I just got out of my "Breed the perfect IV and EV Pokemon for competitive use despite never doing competitive Pokemon" and now you're saying I can have super characters?!

As far as I am aware there is no multiplayer on mobile versions of War of the Lions. That would have made creating this channel a heck of a lot easier, as finding players with PSPs these days is very difficult.

Squire stat growth doesn't change from chapter to chapter. Bequeath Bacon doesn't count towards gaining kills.

Onion Knight was added in WotL if I recall correctly. I don't think it existed in the original.

This is strictly character level, as you get stat increases only from gaining character levels.

It will take a few cycles of leveling to 99 and de-leveling to 1 then back to 99 again to max out your stats, so be warned this is for the super serious player! 😬

From what I read
NO
Raw stats still determines your speed growth
So if you starting speed 6 (lvl 1) then it will take longer to level up but as you build up stats you do get the boost
Once your base speed stat is at 20 lvl1 (afaik) you will notice your speed stat will increase In growth faster i.e within 3-5 lvl ups
13- 17 is optimal for most generics (17-18 for dragoons jump specifically) past 21 is overkill since you also have haste buff and other speed boosting equipment

The first lvl up of the characters can be done with any class?
At a point, the final stats will max out and further accumulation of raw stats will be useless. You are most likely to get 'past' 999 HP as a final stat with your raw stats, but the game won't show it or give you 'extra life'. It will take a loooong time to do this for Speed, PA and MA which all have much slower growth rates (especially Speed), though their maximum final stats are 99.
I'm not sure what you mean by your second question, but what I think you might be asking is if you were to de-level down to level 1, can you start with any Job to re-level to 99? The answer to that is yes!
I have a Mime at level 30 with 27PA and 999 HP. I deleveled her three times as a Chemist at level 30.

Definitely! With a Mediator (Orator), you can Invite (Entice) any of the Squid type enemies, and let them lay eggs. Eventually you'll get a Mind Flayer. You can also directly invite a Mind Flayer if you find one in a random battle

This is the one, I just wouldn't recommend Arithmetics for de-leveling.

You can re-trigger the same trap - it's best to use the Teleport movement skill and intentionally attempt to move beyond your range so that you keep setting off the trap.
Reason you want to use Chemist to de-level is their growth stats are worse, and they aren't as slow as Arithmetician so it makes the grind a little better. 👍

Even with wild boars it would take several cycles. Plus you need an almost empty roster to breed them efficiently. Much faster with the former method.
I want to try this but, having to level as a mime....ugh! Only easy way i see to do it, is level only 3 at a time. Kill all enemies ,but speed and power break the last. Then spam spin punch, potion and chakra to keep the mimes healed and leveling.
do i have to reach level 99 before de-leveling?
Hi Fukimo, thanks for checking out the content! You do not need to be lv99 to begin your de-leveling, but waiting until then will give you more noticeable results, and the re-leveling will grant larger bonuses if you go from 99 down to 1 and back again.

This game is bad for my health. I just got out of my "Breed the perfect IV and EV Pokemon for competitive use despite never doing competitive Pokemon" and now you're saying I can have super characters?!
Haha, everything in moderation! It is pretty interesting to discover how much there is to learn and expand upon in this, and other, game when you look at it through a competitive lens. Even if you aren't competing with your friends it helps buff up your characters for those challenging story battles. Thanks for watching!

As far as I am aware there is no multiplayer on mobile versions of War of the Lions. That would have made creating this channel a heck of a lot easier, as finding players with PSPs these days is very difficult.
