Of all the retro wave music that has come out over the past decade, I think 'Days of Thunder' might be the best song of them all. It sounds like an actual 80's hit song.

I love how everyone here is having a good time. We are just enjoying some music and feeling nostalgic about some memories. Nobody here is spreading negative thoughts, political opinions or something else. We are just a group of people who are happy and enjoying life (at least for 10 minutes ;) )
I listen to all types of music that vary from hip hop to light metal no head banging stuff, it’s good to be able to throw on this retro type of stuff and get such a feeling no other music really gives, bless to whoever created music like this
Born in 71, so I was a teenager in the 80s. Good times. Would give up all my future days if I could go back with my 40s mind to that small awkward teenager.
I thought I recognised something familiar, and then it struck me that the chorus has the same notes as Days of Summer by Don Henly playing int he background. They're almost inaudible, but they're there. Might not be the same scale, but the intervals are certainly the same.

The 80´s as a kid was listening to Rod Stewart, Brian Adams, Madonna, and the 90´s started with a lot of hopes and expectation of a new century coming, the computers just evolved so fast, 8086, 286, 386, 486, Pentium, Napster, eDonkey, McAffe antivirus, DiskDoctor, 100 mb, 250 mb, 500mb, all was too fast, Rap, Euro Dance, but the sense of music was never like the 80´s probably because I lived on a caribbean island, and watching the sunset throught the windows while listening this music was exactly like you can see on Lofis youtube art channels lofi girl lofi hiphop etc..

just found out about synthwave today. this is like hearing heavy metal, or psytrance for the first time all over again. my new fav thing EVER.
🤙🤙🤟🤟
The beetle must be happiest car in town.
Is just amazing how Music can transport you back to younger years ... when everything was so exciting and new... the 80's is the best era!
Jealous for those who lived back in those days. Never gonna be the same 😢
Its going to be even better.
True Linas
I like this music
@Linas Jusys Exactly. If only we were all born sooner...
We're living in "those days." The Midnight is with us *now* .
gotta love how the vid has 2 sides (songs) as if it were a cassette tape
Oh my god, this is so wonderful. The singing, the music, everything!
God I live in this these songs right now.
Oh dear 80s where are you? I miss you so much...
Born in 82, glad I got to experience a little bit of it, 90s were ok to but the more time goes on the more the world becomes more toxic. Music like this is a godsend. Flashbacks are a great thing.
That sax hit my soul so hard I exited the atmosphere
That saxophone goes super tuff🔥🔥 lovin these tunes 🤘🏽🤘🏽
I love how everyone here is having a good time. We are just enjoying some music and feeling nostalgic about some memories. Nobody here is spreading negative thoughts, political opinions or something else. We are just a group of people who are happy and enjoying life (at least for 10 minutes ;) )
I must admit I've watched this video 5,964,982 times 😂😂😂
I listen to all types of music that vary from hip hop to light metal no head banging stuff, it’s good to be able to throw on this retro type of stuff and get such a feeling no other music really gives, bless to whoever created music like this
the sax reminds me of Men at work's who can it be now. Liking this song.
I am 90's child and it sound like my American dream.... and these images perfectly fits
This track is just AWESOME. The baseline and everything.
feels so comfortable back in the 80's
This was my intro to the midnight all those years ago. Thanks youtube for suggesting.
Born in 71, so I was a teenager in the 80s. Good times. Would give up all my future days if I could go back with my 40s mind to that small awkward teenager.
I feeeeeel you
that sax dammmmmm the then the back ground sounds woah like a wave's rolling in and out on the beach
2020 and counting, this music will never die, I can't get enough of it! :D
So dang good ❤
I thought I recognised something familiar, and then it struck me that the chorus has the same notes as Days of Summer by Don Henly playing int he background. They're almost inaudible, but they're there. Might not be the same scale, but the intervals are certainly the same.
You mean "The Boys of Summer"?
It's very noticeable to me as that's one of my favorite songs. It fits very well in this song.
They used to play Boys Of Summer before Days of Thunder live
Es increible poder estar vivo y poder disfrutar de estas joyas musicales y visuales, gracias universo. Gracias Dios. Que viva la musica!!! 80s y 90s
Gloria!
I was born in '71. Perfect timing for me to enjoy the 80s during my teen years. Great music, great films. The local video rental never asked for ID! :D
Clicked for the babes. Stayed for the music.
THESE SONGS ARE PURE GOLD. THANK YOU.
This is like a 80's movie end title song
Days of Thunder is a 1990 Tom Cruise movie as a Nascar racer
That's exactly what Synthwave is about.
I don't know if I should be happy or sad. Because this isn't more popular, or because not many people can have real gems. Just finding and knowing this song is gem
Glad I found this song. The music in the beginning reminds me of an old song can't recall what it was called.
Don Henley, "Boys of Summer," most likely.
YES THAT'S THE SONG I WAS THINKING OF. MY DAD ALWAYS PLAYED IT! THANK YOU MAN!
You are most welcome ☺
"Ghost of the Boulevard" hit so hard, my old Ion Redline was named "Ghost". As if the nostalgia of the sound wasnt enough, I had to remember my 2.0 supercharged underdog. RIP Ghost
Almost ten years searching for this master piece.
listening to this makes me feel so much better today!
Thanks for all this tracks NRW ! That saxophone is great!
LOVE The Midnight, saw them at Marathon Music Works in Nashville last year, phenomenal show!
I loved the 80s but have listened to 80s music too long for it to be still interesting, well, that was until I heard The Midnight 80s re-imagined music. Thank you 😁.
Well...the 80s was only 10 years. While the extension reinvents/reinfluences it.
damn I love this Saxophone solo, jesus
