you can always take it to the post office and have them help package everything for you. But this way I am able to do it all from home. And actually you can do both. I have other videos here on my channel about the process. (in depth)

hey, guys is it possible to charge a custom shipping rate based on a set of conditions like: 5$ shipping fee for items between 0$ and 20$ and select one carrier for all orders? i would like shopify to route all orders to USPS.

This is so helpful thanks very much for taking the time to make this video! I did weigh each item and also input in multiple size bubble envelopes as well as boxes in the packaging section. But how does Shopify know which envelope I will use or whether I’m going to use a box or an envelope when the customer checks out in order to calculate the shipping? What if the customer buys a lot of items that now warrant a box instead of bubble envelope? Do I maybe set a condition where a certain weight range would = large envelope, then a certain weight range = box? Thanks!
You can set a default box. But you can also edit it when you ship out their package. You can tell shopify which box you are going to use. In that case setting up flat rate shipping might be the best option for you.
How do you add that package size to a specific item esp if it is a large box that changes the rate a lot. The different package sizes are of no help if we can't put them to a product.

They told us we have to come up with the prices for shipping for each item and that the actual total cost of shipping won't be automatically calculated based on what the carrier will charge unless we pay another $20 toward our monthly plan, or unless we upgrade our overall plan. Does the question make sense?
