We are based in Canada, and I have linked our Canada Post 3rd party carrier account to the shipping settings. With regards to charging the carrier rates, how do I manage the pre-priced Canada Post rates as well as the standard shipping rates based on the weight that is set to default? Should I leave the weighted shipping settings in incase someone adds 50 items of something to their order? How does the shipping carrier associate the product weight with the 3rd party carrier settings? I hope this makes sense! :) Thank you!

I have the Basic Plan, and it used to list all the 3rd party carriers I selected when I set up Shipping zones, such as UPS, DHL and FedEx, and let me buy and print the discounted shipping label from my store. All of a sudden, something changed with Shopify and it appears that the Basic plan only allows shipping from USPS. They sneaked that in a couple of months ago without telling me! Now it seems that I have to upgrade to the Shopify, or Advanced plan in order to get their rates for 3rd party carriers.

I have looked at the combing shipping , however, it only refers to different items in the order not like items to be shipped together
When you click edit rate and select added conditions, I was wondering when you charge a shipping rate based on shipping. That’s with the packaging and items correct. In one park of the video you also add the weight for packaging
For pick up in-store you will need a third-party Shopify app for it to work. There are a few different apps on the Shopify app store and our favorite for it is: apps.shopify.com/click-and-collect
if you run your business for home and you have a shopify store can you use a po box address instead of your home address so customers don't see your personal address

Hi! Is there an easy way to set up a shipping rate to for only SOME products that are available in Canada? I use a flat shipping rate for mainland United States and am trying to figure out how to make some of my products available for Canadian shipping. Right now I set up a new profile and selected the products that are available for shipping to Canada, but then discovered those were no longer available in the General shipping profile. So I added the US as a zone in my new Canadian profile. But now if someone from the US tries to buy a product that's available in Canada and one that isn't available in Canada, Shopify is adding the two shipping rates together. Is there a way to manage this?

That is a bit tricky if some of your suppliers don't ship to all countries as others. I would set up your shipping rules to make sure only your certain products are shipping to their respective countries. A customer can't see it on the cart page if their shipping location is supported though and wouldn't be able to find out till the checkout process which can be a bad user experience. My suggestion would be to add in your product's page description what countries it can ship to so they know ahead of time.

Normally if a customer purchases one unit of Item "A", it will be an easy process - They will be charged for shipping costs on it, we fulfill, and ship it out. Done. But.. If they purchase 3 units of Item A, and 2 units of Item B,how does shopify shipping calculate the total shipping costs? Will the customer be charged shipping costs for every single item or is there a way for the system to understand that a single order consists of multiple items and will be consolidated into one single shipping box? So lets say it costs "2$" to ship one unit of ItemA, but it only costs an extra 50cents per extra ItemA in the shipping package, will shopify charge the customer 6$ for shipping 3 itemA's or 3.00$??
Arvoli your able to adjust it in orders and customer will receive a new order price I think 🤔 but it be better if you have different shipping boxes for different weight products for stickers I have it set around 2 dollars for with the wight being under a shirt, shirts under a weight for another soft package, and so on I think there’s a notification setting for customer when buying saying shipping process calculating in progress and have to do it manually.

Still very confusing. You don't make it clear from the start where products come from. If drop-shipping different products, how are we to know how much they weigh, including packaging? Don't the drop-shipping companies choose their own shipping options, depending on where they are located and where an item is to be shipped to? How can we know what they charge for shipping? How do we even know, when an item is chosen, which dropshipping company will supply it and where they are located.

Please go into detail about how to add a pick up in store option.

You can create a test order with the products that you have in question to see this. Shopify had instructions online.

Wouldnt you just provide tracking information once available. Otherwise at the time of purchase you would just provide an estimate. like 2- 10 days?

How come I don't have the option to use carrier or app calculated rates? When I click that option it says "There are no carriers or apps available for this zone."

The shipping rates aren't a huge difference but the shipping time from China to USA is where the biggest difference is.
Still very confusing. You don't make it clear from the start where products come from. If drop-shipping different products, how are we to know how much they weigh, including packaging? Don't the drop-shipping companies choose their own shipping options, depending on where they are located and where an item is to be shipped to? How can we know what they charge for shipping? How do we even know, when an item is chosen, which dropshipping company will supply it and where they are located.
