Love the fact you showcase some older sleds on the show by times, seems like STV is the only one that does this. When sleds are for the most part unchanged from year to year theres only so much content you can cover
Hey Jeff The old 600 XCR brings back memories. Had a 95 when i was 15-16 years old. Sled was a year old when i bought it worked on my grandfathers and uncle’s farms all summer to pay for it. Actually had a 95 500 new twin pipes on it. Then eventually found a 95 storm with very low miles on sled. My 600 XCR was a slug before i piped it very fast after 115 on radar. My 500 was actually just as fast or faster before i piped the 600 though and rode better. So did the storm was never impressed with the rear suspension in my XCR. My storm was the most fun of all PSI heads DG stingers clutch and jetted very fast. Never had sled on radar but could burry the speedo needle past 130 mph. The 90’s man they were fun days to be a snowmobiler. Watching u put sliders on REV i just cut the track windows bigger go threw the windows been doing it for years with no issues. The ratchet strap first i ever saw that before. I just take the tension off the torsion springs move rear arm where it needs to go. But maybe next time ill try the ratchet strap could be easier idk. The little winter we had here in upstate NY looks like its over. Waiting for next winter now didn’t get my fix lol!! Thanks for the fine entertainment. Good luck racing ur snotarocket Haha!!
I had a Storm back in the day too. Awesome ride. The ratchet strap thing should help especially with the older sleds. Winter is over here too in Ontario, never even turned a track! Next year will be better!!
Hey Jeff, I installed those same Kimpex slides last weekend and have to remove them. They sit higher than the rubber skid nose bumpers and were hitting the clips. My advice to anyone using them is to grind the edge down.Back to the Brp dealer for oem and they fit perfectly
Stoked you’re finally doing some cool old sleds ( 96 xcr600 TRIPLE BABY) POLARIS POWER Xtra12 is the WORST skid though - neutered the handling of that drift party sled
You do not have to remove rear skid to change your sliders.i have done it on ski doos 2011 on up.loosen track all the way up and lots of spray lube you can pull them threw the track windows.
A little silicone spray and they will come out of any track window with out removing the skid. Also just buy the correct slides and don't need cutting.
That’s an excellent name!!! My niece named the sled Snot a Rocket, so pretty happy with it too. Lol. If I ever get another Drifter… Drifturd will be the one!
He needs to keep the lights on, that being said ,hes an honest and fair commentator compared to every other Ontario channel. I cannot stand those other fan boys.
Cool episode. Really enjoyed it. I dig old iron along with the semi-newer stuff. Ive rode my sled once this year. What a bummer.
A good mix of old iron and new stuff makes this channel great!

There are a lot of older sleds out there…

I'm liking the older sled rebuilds ! And if trading a case of beer to get a full skid is an option than you got a great deal 👍 😅
And its still working!
Outstanding episode 👍
Well done on the used track installed on the Polaris .😊
I really enjoyed this episode

I noticed that too. I have the front limiter set a little shorter and can’t feel the leading edge, plus I shaved it down some as well.
I loved my xcr 600
Always wanted an xcr in that scheme .. love the drifter. Not a fan of the modern sleds that look like aliens
It'll work, but you'll have to upgrade the front shocks to go with the rear
Can be changed without removing skid. I’ve done it many times on my 18 renegade 9:23
Hi Jeff, another great and informative episode!
The shop fork lift is sweet ….
It is so handy you need one. Fork extensions too! If you get one you’ll wonder how you ever worked without one.
i hope you did the secondary clutch rollers
Stoked you’re finally doing some cool old sleds ( 96 xcr600 TRIPLE BABY) POLARIS POWER
Xtra12 is the WORST skid though - neutered the handling of that drift party sled
Yes, but it was the right price! It’s still a party lol.
You do not have to remove rear skid to change your sliders.i have done it on ski doos 2011 on up.loosen track all the way up and lots of spray lube you can pull them threw the track windows.
I did that once and it cut the tracks rubber a bit inside the window. Yes it can be done, but you defiantly need LOTS of lube!
A little silicone spray and they will come out of any track window with out removing the skid. Also just buy the correct slides and don't need cutting.
I have replaced slides many times on these sleds and never once removed the skid or used lube!!
Yamaha. Stabs your heart lol
nice job boy
👍👍👊
Upgraded bumper, For the times you" run out of talent" midway through a corner or intersection. Lol
Get used to the doghouse brother, its a way of life😂
I think the snot a rocket should be renamed drifturd.
That’s an excellent name!!! My niece named the sled Snot a Rocket, so pretty happy with it too. Lol. If I ever get another Drifter… Drifturd will be the one!
The only issue I have with this show is it's sponsored by a manufacturer... Polaris.
Yamaha too! For now… lol

Typical basher, only reports what he wants too. I see the Polaris hatred is your MO.
