Not sure its real but I was told that leaves are better to add to the garden then manures because the tree roots go deeper then the roots of grass that the animals eat which brings more minerals and such up into the leaves then get deposited into the garden . that sounds right to me
HEY, Johnny Electric, I have heard they are packed with minerals as well. I love picking up my neighbors leaves after they do all the work for me. I use the leaf mold to make my fish fertilizer as well.
