WOW, I know mbti is pretty famous in Korea, but never thought it’s that common among ppl even with different ages, that they normally mention it when they’re getting to know new ppl , and these ppl do also know about it 🙌🏻🤓 How common it’s among ppl do have both pros and cons depending on how ppl actually use it… The Enfj girl at the end looks pretty easy going, good vibe around her and engaged in the convo :’) Nice video👏🏻
I swear INTP people are so good in making first good impressions and are very eloquent in their talk but a mess in their private life lmao (I'm an INTP lol)
In University 20 years ago we were given the MBTI test, it was helpful and interesting to learn about our individual findings, but most people left it at that and didn’t really talk about it much, at that time Koreans were basing their personality traits on their blood types..I guess that wasn’t really science based and the MBTI makes more sense to Koreans that’s why it probably became so popular to replace the blood type personality trait theory
MBTI isn't science-based, either. On the surface it looks like it is, but it doesn't have any research behind it, nor do the tests have any reliability.
It’s good and makes it easier to communicate with ppl. It’s not like zodiac because it has nothing to do with your birth timing, and more on your personality
Just because it isn't "scientifically correct" doesn't mean it can't be useful. It's great for understanding others and seeing different perspectives. It just depends on how people use it, as long as people always keep an open mind and not use MBTI as an absolute truth.
Its certainly flawed especially how it blunders the lettering system dichotomies specially the first and last letters are way of point i.e I and E standing for extraversion and introversion as well as judging and perceiving (socionics does a better job at the latter two by switching the j and the p for introverted types), in addition almost all tests are no where near accurate specially since they all rely on self assessment and it takes a huge amount of self awareness to get your type right. That said the cognitive functions are observable realities we all use thinking we all feel and sense and intuit, it makes sense that people would have preferences in terms of choosing certain functions and the more one uses a function the more it develops, also some functions naturally appose each other for example thinking logically requires detachment and objectivity while feeling is subjective and full of attachments, so whenever you find thinking first you’ll find thinking last because one cannot have a preference for two opposing functions at the same time, same with sensing and intuition, one is concrete and relies on direct observation, the other is abstract and predictive. Also worth noting that mbti isn’t the only system that uses the same cognitive functions, objective personality is one, and socionics is another one, makes sense because these functions are so observable in our processing.
OK, so MBTI is a trend in Korea. I like that. Apart from the 4 letters of the type, are Koreans generally aware of the cognitive functions behind it, such as extroverted feeling FE and inverted feeling FI? These functions are the basic framework of personality types and are more important than the type designation.
f somebody would ask me for my MBTI, i'd answer "Unicorn" And now what?" Not just, that i generally dont follow trends, also prefer to get to know people asking questions and having a CONVERSATION, instead of categorize them per se.
@@CaliforniaDreams-eb8sx If it's a convo starter, then it's ok. But in this video it's said, a wrong one is even a Dealbreaker for dating, which sounds ridiculous for me...but whatever. To each their own.
This is ridiculous and honestly sad. MBTI is psuedoscience (Carl Jung didn't approve this crap either), and as a Korean who grew up in the states, I find these kinds of behaviors embarrassing. This stuff is like astrology or enneagram from white people except that those who obsessively ask "what's your sign?" is localized to weird hippy culture in parts of Austin. What's basically going on is Koreans who are pressured in a conformist society using MBTI as a safe way to make them seem unique as an individual without having to work for it. If you want real personality indicators, you should use things like 5 personality tests that are actually taught in places like Med Schools for doctors for psychiatry. Oh except these tests actually tell you that there are not nice parts of your personality like neuroticism or close-mindedness. So never mind that I guess. But even then why would you distinguish yourself through personality indicators? Personalities are surface level aspects of who you are, if you want true self-definition they should be much deeper than that, on the level of values. Like what are your core values, transparency, industry, honesty, courage, etc. These are things one has to work at rigorously to make it theirs.
i am lucky to meet INFJ and I am ENFP. we both married and both of us get along in the relationship well. for enfp out there, if u want a settle relationship, get an INFJ ❤
I just took the test and it gave me INFP , I am an artist but I also see the big picture, I am in somethings organised and I understand the others and adapt to them as an INFJ so I am a bit confused. I swear I have both inside. So I don’t like to be put in one category. What would be a better partner for Infp?
MBTI makes more sense than the zodiac signs lol
I would put both of those in the same category. Koreans gotta chill with the MBTI crap it's cringe.
Both are pseudoscience and lack empirical evidence🤷🏻♀️

I mean, for finding people's personalities it's not the best, but it's useful for characterization if you're writing a book or something.
i'm an ENTJ, tbh i would deff date an ENTP/INTJ

they say Istj is one of the most common Mbti but i rarely see people who are Istj.
Cuz they would be studying at home

The ISFP and ENTP are a bronze pair~ the ENFP and ENFJ are a silver pair. ISFP and ENTJ are a duality pair. Not romantically ideal
😍😍😍
Makes me shudder.
Koreans would be crazy if they find out about cognitive functions, Jungian functions, enneagrams, tritypes, etc.
I also wana know last her instagram 😅
Basically, astrology, but made to sound sciency. 😂
