Way too slow getting your air assets launched. The vast majority of scenarios are going to start with the units fairly close and action imminent. There is no percentage in reserving aircraft; hit hard and fast. And don't waste time watching Harpoons fly. 1. Launch a recon bird from the Nimitz and the airbase, fly to the two eastern ship groups and to the ships by the shore respectively. 2. Launch an E-2C from the Nimitz and the airbase, escorted by 2 Tomcats and 2 Eagles respectively. Allow these fighters to be a loose escort and go after anything they see. The likelihood of Soviet fighters in the area is extremely low so the Hawkeyes should be safe if the fighters roam a bit. 3. Launch an Alpha Strike from the Nimitz: every attack plane you have loaded for anti-shipping strike, accompanied by a pair of Prowlers and four Tomcats, trailed by another E-2C. 4. Launch all your Phantoms and Corsairs loaded for close air support mostly, some SEAD as well. Fly south and go weapons free on the ground targets as you see them. 5. Launch all your P-3s and B-52s loaded for anti-shipping. By the time they are formed up, you should have some intel from the recon and AWACS planes to direct their strike. 6. Launch CAP of 4 Tomcats from Nimitz and 4 Eagles from airbase.
Perhaps the most confusing thing in this game is the expectation that you’re omniscient and managing the theatre but then you have to go and micro the crap out a unit. Like as if a pilot wouldn’t flare if a missile was launched at them. Many jets its automatic in real life anyway. Doesn’t make sense. Almost feels like 2 dev teams working separately.
5 Abrams would be a very depleted company team...maybe a post 1990 Division cav unit also. Armor Teams were made up of 4 companies (3 tank with 14 M1A1s and 1 Mech with 13, or after 1990, 14 M2 series Bradleys. Also 2 HQ Company M1A1s)
Is there no posibility of defining areas in which the planes can perform CAP. So they don't fly over to other locations and pick targets not intended for them?
Hey Jive...look into The Sixth Battle by Barrett Tillman. Do you think you could design a battle to fit the main conflict in it? An old Forrestal class CV with a 1990 TF setup Vs Modern Post-Soviet (That brief CIS state) TFs south of Cape Horn.
For how skilled you are, you still haven't figured out the information button. You can select enemy contacts and click on information on what they could be. It isn't perfect, but it helps. In regards to the S3's, they only carry 2 Harpoons each. Continue to get good.
Why did you launch streetcar (attacking tanks) As strike rather than close air support? Retiring the S3 was a huge mistake, they are still out in the desert I believe so they could be reactivated. A10 was good for COIN (Afghanistan Iraq) but the Urkanians are right that it's had its day when it comes to full on conflict. A7s are single seat so walleye's must be a bit fo a handful!
No matter who he picks it will raise eyebrows. Thats the real issue. The swamp hates change. Meanwhile we plan to lose wars so as not to offend anyone, getting our kids killed to maintain the EU standard of living.
Yeah, this is a recording of a regular channel live stream broadcast on Twitch, YT & a bunch others, with a live audience. By their nature, it's more of a hard core gamer sort of genre. People looking for short looks at this or that game or those who don't enjoy dipping in & out of livestreams, might be better off looking at the RUclips specific creators. There are heaps of creators here who do much shorter videos, 10-60 min sorts of things, which you might prefer.
They'll probably get better before the game is out of development. The devs still have a very long list of fixes & improvements they will implement before & after the game's officially released.
I always enjoy your videos man thanks for ur content much appreciated

Whats all the stuff on the desk at the start? do you use those books as references while playing?
Looks like some Janes books. I miss having a reference library. I lost all mine when I lost my home after breaking my back at work.
Can we get an after action report on some of these scenarios? Curious how the Victor detected you and how you could've detected him.
Britain anounced this week that it was retiring it's last LPDs for similar reasons.
VLS on Tico before 1986 won’t be historically accurate.
Also, first five of them were never upgraded with VLS.
What are the reference books he has?

Trumps pick for sec of the Navy, will raise a few eyebrows. To say the least.

I'm prolly the only one going to say this. But these videos are to long for me to watch I'm one sitting. And I never Vine back to finish them.

All the tutorials for this game absolutely suck.
Why would you say that? What has your experience been like?
Idk what you've been watching, but I think they're in depth and pretty easy to learn. However, you do know to understand basic naval stuff and history
Failure is always the best tutorial anyway.
